It was awesome, some people are such whiny losers
agentmi5 - 5/6/2013, 5:10 AM
Disappointing
DoubleD - 5/6/2013, 5:12 AM
It was very entertaining and I enjoyed Iron Man 3, but I have been waiting to see the Mandarin since Iron Man one, so I was a little disappointed in the TWIST.

In Iron Man one they kind of mislead fans thinking the Mandarin was going to show up in later films. Bring on Fin Fang Foom
nikgrid - 5/6/2013, 5:12 AM
You're voting criteria doesn't fit for me, because I liked it more than the Avengers, but not more than Iron Man.

4. Iron Man 2
3. The Avengers
2. Iron Man 3
1. Iron Man
Kryptoniano - 5/6/2013, 5:14 AM
I think it was "just ok" but just for entertainment purposes. Lots of visual effects, but it lacks of an intelligent story /direction behind the film, prove of it it´s the many many people giving such a dissaproval opinon for it... I only can tell that anyone can make their personal opinion by watching it. (I can only compare IM3 to Spider-Man3 or Superman Returns)
DoubleD - 5/6/2013, 5:14 AM
The movie should have been titled "Tony Stark the Man Behind the Mask"
P862010 - 5/6/2013, 5:14 AM
green lantern and superman returns were better
Christuffer - 5/6/2013, 5:16 AM
It was an awesome movie, no doubt about it. Hype and expectation are the biggest enemies of the film industry as we know it and that goes double for CBMs. The entire philosophy of "your opinion matters and screw everyone else" has made viewers and fanboys take everything for granted. Chances are we will not be getting an Amazing Spider-Man style reboot for these Marvel movies, my friends.
Don't forget, this isn't "Shane Black's Iron Man. These movies are created with Marvel as a whole, and Kevin Feige is in charge of the entire operation, and these movies are official sanctioned by the people who started the Marvel universe (sort of).
RorMachine - 5/6/2013, 5:16 AM
A very enjoyable, fun little romp.
DoubleD - 5/6/2013, 5:16 AM
In my opinion Iron Man 3 was a lot like "The Dark Knight Rises" more about the man then the hero.
AmazingFantasy - 5/6/2013, 5:17 AM
another poll, good one

Loved it, definitely my favourite solo Marvel film, right there with Iron Man and Avengers for me. Think too many people are just disappointed they didn't get the film THEY wanted, but the masses did. Was admittedly disappointed in the twist, but loved the film regardless, very smart, funny, entertaining etc.
Christuffer - 5/6/2013, 5:17 AM
Damn, made a couple grammar errors. Just got off of work. Sleepy. -___-
DoubleD - 5/6/2013, 5:21 AM
Iron Man 3 was good but its not a a movie that kids will want to go see five times like the Avengers. One an done viewing will be enough for the average person. I saw Iron Man 3 twice and that is enough for me.

Great movie but the twist took the wind out of it's sails
BrickWall - 5/6/2013, 5:21 AM
Let's put it this way... I'm not in any rush to see it again.

Oh DoubleD where you been hiding bro, don't you owe me some dough for that bet you placed on TDKR not reaching a billion.
JordanKing - 5/6/2013, 5:23 AM
Not speaking for myself here, but why can't it be better than The Avengers in the poll?
dahamma - 5/6/2013, 5:23 AM
I thought this movie was awesome. I don't get what all the whining is about. The action scenes were awesome. And the movie has heart.

I understand that we didn't get the robe wearing mandarin but we got him in some way. It was more of the Extremis story line then a Mandarin one.

But with all that said, we got to see Iron Man a whole lot in this film and that makes me happy. I mean people, THE WHOLE IRON MAN ARMORY WAS FIGHTING EXTREMIS SOLDIERS! the suits, The FRIGGIN SUITS WE'RE CATCHING TONY! What more could you want
dahamma - 5/6/2013, 5:24 AM
Thats it, I done talked it up. Im going to see it again.
TheBoss117 - 5/6/2013, 5:24 AM
I enjoyed it. It was nice to see stand alone film not involving SHIELD or an of the other Avengers. I did like what they did with Tony in having trouble in dealing with himself after the "New York" event. I like many, did not like what they did to the Mandarin, but it didn't ruin the film for me.

Gonna walk over someone's dead corpse, wonder who...

hmhm.
Jwe75 - 5/6/2013, 5:28 AM
I liked it. Good story, Tony's personal nightmares, Pepper in the suit finally. More powerful main villain then i first expected. Rhodey should have had more suit-time, but OK. Better story arc then in IM2 (not setup for any other movie). Extremis-soldiers were cool.

Basicly ended well, because whatever happens to Tony Stark in future movies... he dont have any weihtload from these previous films. Lets go Avengers 2! :)
ROMACK - 5/6/2013, 5:28 AM
The Mandarin twist was weird, but overall I was impressed.
MrReese - 5/6/2013, 5:30 AM
it was ok
SageMode - 5/6/2013, 5:30 AM
I hated what they did to Ben Kingsley's Mandarin. The role had so much potential to being a badass especially with Kingsley in the role. This is the only gripe I have with what Marvel Studios has done so far.

Other than that, the movie kicked ass.
Kingdork - 5/6/2013, 5:31 AM
I loved it. Great fun, great summer blockbuster. Marvel is on the right track. I still enjoy all the whinny fanboys' comments though ^^
yingyangpalms - 5/6/2013, 5:32 AM
The Mandarin thing wasnt a twist. It was Marvel ripping off the fans they have built up by advertising a film they never made. Its their version of "Argo". Its a rip off.
AmazingFantasy - 5/6/2013, 5:32 AM
@Khan

DoubleD - 5/6/2013, 5:32 AM
The Mandarin twist would have been a little better if they didn't make the guy to be such a loser an dork. They could have made the guy a little tougher an crazier.
scoobyjas - 5/6/2013, 5:36 AM
For some reason, my post didn't work, here goes my second try:
Saw it this weekend, a few things bugged me:
1. You invite the "Mandarin" to attack you and yet, you wait for him with an untested prototype armor that can't fly and can't fire it's missiles??
2. How come Iron Patriot got disabled so easily? An Extremis soldier just has to grab his arm and he goes down like a rock?? Same goes for Iron Man.
3. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the Arc Reactor Tony has in his chest actually powered the armor, why does it need to be charger when it's on him?
4. The "Mandarin", 'nuff said.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie, but as a comic book fan, meh, but the trailer revealed all of the big "wow" moments in my mind. When I watch a trailer, it's too be teased, not to be spoiled.

CumPatch is keen
KnobGoblin - 5/6/2013, 5:37 AM
IRON MAN 3 makes IRON MAN 2 look like IRON MAN 1 by comparison. Like Spider-Man 3, and X-MEN 3, it's a bloated mess of half baked ideas, useless characters and poor decisions made on behalf of the film-makers. What they did to The Mandarin is equivalent to casting Topher Grace as Venom, and Tony Stark having PTSD is as dumb as evil disco dancing Spider-Man was. Tony Stark is a man that built a freaking robot death suit to escape terrorist after having shrapnel lodged in his heart, and gets all freaked out over some cheesy lame-o aliens? Please.

It's amazing, and I'd say it's better than The Avengers...in a different way! The latter is still the absolute CBM, to me, while this one kind of puts the emphasis moe on the "movie," than the "comic book," but I know that's just what I love the most. A solid, well-driven, and surprisingly entertaining character piece.
dnno1 - 5/6/2013, 5:47 AM
The film had a lot of plot holes. Robert Downey, Jr. was the only thing holding it together.
rocky - 5/6/2013, 5:47 AM
I loved everything about this movie. I didn't expect to be wowed this much. Great job to all.

I'll be seeing it again a couple of more times. Need tocatch it in true I-Max too

This should hold me til MOS gets here
fortycals - 5/6/2013, 5:47 AM
Good movie. I wouldnt put it in the top teir,(IM1,X2, SM2, avengers,TDK), but it was definately not far behind, (x1, BB, SM1). Way above average, (IM2, tdkr, thor, cap). Not even in the same league as the bad ones (GL, XMO, catwoman, elektra). Definately second tier.

SpaceGhost - 5/6/2013, 5:50 AM
i am disappointed it is doing this well...
because it will give studios the idea that they can put any crap out there and make tons...

Save for the humor in the movie i enjoyed very little of it.the extremis story plot was god-awful.

Whedon will have to do alot of fixing to get this Ironman back on track.

i don't need to see this movie again....
i hope Thor2 and MOS doesn't whimper like this...
SpaceGhost - 5/6/2013, 5:51 AM
@fortycals
i can go along with that...
TheOther - 5/6/2013, 5:54 AM
Ignored the twist. Great movie!
Goggles - 5/6/2013, 6:02 AM
If I pretend and make myself hear "Terrorist Bob" whenever anyone says "Mandarin", then it's a decent flick that's carried by RDJ and Guy Pearce.
