Shame to see John's go, but really looking forward to seeing this issue.

Mahnke's artwork has improved over the years!

$8?????? No way I'll ever spend $8 on a comic.
DRMidNite - 5/20/2013, 12:41 PM
8 Bucks? LOL...DC is high in more ways than one.

gusto neat to see you talk about what things you like normally you just post funny pictures
RexDartEskimoSpy - 5/20/2013, 12:47 PM
So what issue # would this be if the New 52 hadn't mucked up the numbering? Because, really, this was one of those landmark runs that revolutionized a book and a character and should stand on its own as one definitive maxi-series, unstained by the nonsense going on in the rest of the DCU. If anything #21 should be renumbered #1.
DRMidNite - 5/20/2013, 12:49 PM
Marvel Fanboys are pedophiles...LOL

Been with GL since before Kyle first became a lantern (way back when). Not digging this Wrath business in the slightest. But, I been there through so much worse. I'll pick this up if no other reason than out of respect for what Johns accomplished with this title: From one title barely staying out of the cancellation zone to one of DC's highest rated titles with four and soon five monthly books under it's flag. Well done sir! I give you beane's 2099 salutes. FYI this may take a while.

Gusto@ Alan Scott is allergic to Wood...LOL

@Marvels1stFan - Doesn't Marvel have gay characters in their comics?
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:04 PM
@ Marvels1stFan... Your statement doesn't make any sense, everyone in this room is dumber just having read it.
Fastestmanalive - 5/20/2013, 1:07 PM
Its 8 bucks cuz its 64 pages geniuses. This aint Marvel.

Sad to see Johns go but skeptically excited for this issue. Too much of a buildup it will probably be a let down.

At least this means that annoying shmuck Baz will be gone and we finally get Hal back.
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:09 PM
@ KryptonianAbominationClone.... What are you talking about lol.... IF any LAntern has been SCREWED over by writers its Kyle Rayner. He was awesome as the ION, but how many times have they screwed him over?! ALOT....and A lot more than Hal Jordan.

I'm pretty much dropping All Green Lantern comics after this... I think Red Lanterns I'll keep up with since Guy Gardener is a Red Lantern now.....But, eventually I'll be dropping all by the time Superman Unleashed comes out.
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:13 PM
@ The People bitching about Simon Baz

Simon Baz gone? lol... You do know that Baz is in the Justice League of America. lol

Green Lantern comics will get boring after Geoff Johns leaves... My perfect time to exit and never touch GL again unless TRADEPAPER BACK...or Digital Pirate download! Cheers!
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:21 PM
@ KryptonianAbominationClone

I like Hal Jordan... In fact I like the entire Hal Jordan and Sinestro Team-up... They were like the "ODD Couple" lol...

What sucks about comics today is that NO ONE HAS PATIENCE, every story arc or relationship last a few issues... Superman & Wonder Woman? Hal and sinestro? Spiderman and Mary Jane? Superior Spiderman killing Peter? (This EARLY?!) There are others that I don't even wanna mention... But I feel that Comics writers today will destroy comics... They have no idea what we want or how we feel...

You know Superman and Wonderwoman should of had at least a 2 year relationship... he should at least ended up marrying the chick and than having a kid... than do whatever you want.. its the fact its the same ole boring lois lane crap and garbage... same thing with Hal Jordan stop screwing him over... I'm just frustrated with comics... I just started reading the G.I. Joe reboot... IDW is sinking me in and Jupiter's Legacy is doing the same... if I drop Dc and Marvel..I wont be coming back LOL... These idiot writer need to fix shit immediately!
PLUSH - 5/20/2013, 1:27 PM
The price...
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:27 PM
@ KryptonianAbominationClone

The Green Lantern Animated Series had great potential. But Cartoon Network and WB thinks they know what we want... those idiots don't know anything. LOL!

Teen Titans show? Batman show? OF COURSE MARVEL is kicking DC's ass in films! You're not introducing New Characters... It's Batman or Superman... or Teen Titans over and over... how many Batman cartoon shows do they have?! Like a billion?!

Introduce team ups of Booster Gold & Blue-Beetle... Give people an Aquaman animated series... a better green lantern show (and make these shows darker)... Young Justice was awesome until WB decided to can it...

How about a "Suicide Squad" show? ... Dc needs to do something new... Batman will not always sell and ideas will always run out... why else is there so many batman shows... the true batman show will always be Batman: TAS... Batman Beyond would come in second... everything else is mediocre-ish.
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:33 PM
I just find it funny that people buy the "DEATH OF (Enter HERO here)".... and when it sells out they drop 100s of dollars to get that issue... Uhh, you do know that guy will be back in 6 months? (maybe sooner in todays comics)...

You think Peter Parker is dead? Uh, The Amazing Spiderman II comes out next year... Do you think Marvel will keep him dead? NO.

That comic will eventually drop value to 10 bucks lol...and your dumbass paid 100 bucks for it because it was hot THAN! lol

Anyways, unless its autographed or CGC the need to buy comic for (50-100) unless they're worth it (or limited)...

I will pick up this Green Lantern Comic only to Store it away... No more GL for me after this. :/ I don't see a Hal Jordan being interesting (since Sinestro got taken out)... Kyle Rayner and his sidekicks (annoying as well)... Guy Gardner as a Red Lantern should be interesting for a while... but I highly doubt it'll last with todays writers and how fast they want to finish everything.
WakeMan - 5/20/2013, 1:34 PM
Green Lantern has been so amazing for the last 10 years. It's all Hal Jordan. Every other lantern is a sidekick. If, they had killed off Jordan in this story, I would have end my GL purchases. Since he does not die (see GL #21) I'm excited for it to continue
I must say though, that it'd be nice to have a Hal Jordan hang around earth for a while in the coming stories. The Hal/Carol relationship is under exposed.
REDSTORM - 5/20/2013, 1:34 PM
Too bad the ending was already spoiled in GLC.
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:37 PM
Agreed. you know what Cartoon Network should of done is move Young Justice to an hour or half an hour before Adult swim.

Or make the next Young Justice Darker...so it can be added to Adult swim...

Everyone fails to realize how badass Spawn:TAS was... You know Spawn would be a great show to add onto Adult Swim or after hours.

I would love to see Suicide Squads on Tv... I could see that working out well. Make that show dark and advertise it correctly... Or even a Red Lantern show.
Fastestmanalive - 5/20/2013, 1:39 PM
@Aiiwolf
In the JLA, lol, its already three issues in and hes still the only one not to show up, while everyone else has been seen since issue one, not that I'm complaining.

But that's not the issue, Hal should be featured in the main GL title and that's what I'm happy about.

Even though I'm sad to see Johns go and he was the best for GL and it will be hard to live up to his storytelling I'm still hoping for the best with Vindetti.
JohnnyCloud - 5/20/2013, 1:39 PM
To those worried about the price, it's a square bound triple sized issue!
It looks fantastic and is well worth the price tag.
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:40 PM
@ Wakeman

Agreed with the Hal Jordan hang around Earth for a while... I was enjoying that too. I liked the "Sinestro/Jordan Team up" lol

It's a love hate type of partner ship...and a ONE-Up game between them... They should of had it last at least a year (in the comics) before breaking it apart)...

I saw the GL #21 also...SMH. I don't care for Hal Jordan's cont. as much as Superman's relationship with Lois. If Superman accidently kills Lois while having Sex, that will gain my interest but having that boney bitch around is almost as annoying as following Hal Jordan and his sidekicks lol (I know the ending!...Don't you?...you should by now! It's DC!)
thatcoldblackcloud - 5/20/2013, 1:42 PM
The work GJ did will be unforgettable, but it's high time for a new writer to come on board this titles.

You won't be missed, GJ, cuz you stayed on for too long, but you'll most deffinitely be remembered as THE foremost Green Lantern writer. The Best of them all after the Broome era!
Aiiwolf - 5/20/2013, 1:44 PM
@ Fastestmanalive

LOL. Agreed. But, am I the only that found the Sinestro/Jordan team up funny? Ironic? interesting?

I agree Geoff Johns is for GL, but I think theyre trying to get him to make some of the other heroes just s interesting so the next phase those comics don't DIE off(ROFL)..(someone else said it the best on this site). But, he'll be back...he always ends up coming back to GL.

As for Simon... that probably what they'll do in this issue... They'll end him in the GL books to bring him or show him up in JLA lol... I'm reading JLA... It has an Avengers/Shield feel to it.
thatcoldblackcloud - 5/20/2013, 2:11 PM
@Gusto: Amen on the Baz thing, buddy.
johnnymarr - 5/20/2013, 2:22 PM
Probably the most overrated writer in the long history of DC Comics.

Good riddance.
Fastestmanalive - 5/20/2013, 2:22 PM
@Aiiwolf

No that was pretty cool, Sinestro was like a more douchey version of Batman, uptight, haughty, always thinks hes right, little patience, on the surface has no respect for Hal but really does. It was cool to see that they could'nt stand each other but ultimatley respected each other.

Yea hes made Aquaman pretty cool, taking a bit long to build things up but it seems he has a whole mythology for him as well.

Yea JLA is pretty damn cool, one of my top favorites titles these days, they are a bit shady and Waller can be a real bitch, but the personalities and interaction between the very different characters are really great, Love Hawkman.

MJPETTY7 - 5/20/2013, 2:24 PM
Can't wait for this finale! It's all been building up to this!!!
Tevii - 5/20/2013, 3:38 PM
really looking forward to this. it will be bittersweet though. hal has always been a favorite of mine.

I waited 10 long years for them to bring Hal back when they first got Kyle. Johns brought him back in such a great way and kept the book engaging for ten years now. i will be sad to see Johns leave but cant wait to see how he concludes his run
Tevii - 5/20/2013, 6:22 PM
KryptonianAbominationClone - except WB OWNS CN...
UrbanTheEmcee - 5/20/2013, 6:25 PM
I'm gonna get three of these, one to read, one to save, and a back up. This is gonna be worth some money one day. They can make a whole epic of movies, tv, and animation of Johns GL series alone.
UrbanTheEmcee - 5/20/2013, 6:27 PM
@johnnymarr: You think that now, but down the road, years from now, you'll see. This character needed a better class writer, and Geoff Johns gave it to us.
johnnymarr - 5/20/2013, 9:15 PM
@UrbanTheEmcee: I will wait anxiously for that.;)
