Skyfall is not only the first movie in the James Bond franchise to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office, but also one of the most critically acclaimed instalments too. For that reason, many fans were left feeling absolutely devastated when director Sam Mendes confirmed he would not be returning. Shortly after, Christopher Nolan was said to be a favourite and a whole list of candidates emerged yesterday afternoon. However, there was then a very big twist in our little tale. Mendes is back in the mix and Sony are apparently more than happy to wait for him to finish his other stage commitments before moving ahead with 007's 24th big screen adventure. However, who would YOU guys most like to see helm this movie? Here's your chance to decide...

Who cares. Time to recast Bond as a black man.

I would go with Ekofor, Honsou or Elba. The usual suspects when any black actor or part starring a black person is mentioned.

Or the out of the box pick of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Or the really out of the box pick of Terry Cruz. Great in White Chicks.

Matthew Vaughn should direct it...Nolan's style doesn't fit. Mendes is likely not coming back...Ang Lee is an interesting choice though.

BritishKnight - 5/29/2013, 12:25 PM
Mathew Vaughan would be fantastic, Daniel Craig wouldn't be Bond if it wasn't for Mathew Vaughan's Layer Cake.

but he doesn't seem to be an option so Nicolas Winding Refn would be my second choice.

Shame Black is the worst choice.

Ang Lee is not an ideal choice but still a great film maker. It be a very fifferent type of Bonf film.

Refn is an interesting choice but not a good choice.

The rest are all great canidates with Mendes and Molsn being the best.

Why are we not looking at the obvious choice? Gusto's ol' pal, Sylvester Stallone.

They should do a re imagining of Blofeld. Hes pretty much Bonds most well known villain besides dr no and Goldfinger. I think they should also Consider Duncan Jones for the next bond film too.

@KryptonianAbominationClone, i def would!

Id like Martin Campbell to take another stab, Casino Royale was a lot better than Skyfall.

I vote Mendes because I want Nolan to oversee the shared-DC universe. Crossing-fingers for that to happen.

I say they should get Chris Nolan to direct and have Gary Oldaman as the villain. Daniel Craig would still play Bond because he is still signed on for more movies but if they did recast him they should get Tom Hardy ,Henry Cavill,or Michael Fassbender.

I really don't care. You can't [frick] up Bond. 50 years, still going strong.

Tom Hooper and Ang Lee are the rumored candidates I'd like to see helming the project the most, but for my personal favorite, I'll stick with Paul McGuigan (Sherlock). It's unlikely, I know, but...well, one may dream!

Tainted87 - 5/29/2013, 5:09 PM
I voted Ang Lee. I love Les Miserables, but one criticism I agree with is the amount of close-ups, the horrible camera angles - you can see it plainly during Valjean's Soliloquy.

I like Refn, Lee, and Evans. All very different directors. For a best picture: Lee. For Style: Refn. For brutal and innovative action: Evans.
