Tom Hardys Bane is a pop culture icon now. No gave a flying [frick] about Bane before Nolan revisioned the character.

I stopped having faith in the creative direction of this movie when I found out it would feature Sarah Connor. Move forward and finish the story. Don't try to reinvent things. It's just going to screw this franchise up more.

But here's an idea...How about Sabastian Stan as John Connor and Tom Hardy as Reese or even vice versa, Stan as Reese and Hardy as Connor.

Hollywood still too damn scared to showcase a "war" in films, there hasn't been a real war movie since Saving Private Ryan(which is what the final Terminator film should be), to give us a John Connor who's actually a general and making tough decisions, to see how he forced Skynet into desperation to point where they send Terminators back to kill him and his mother, to tie up loose ends and show us how Reese got sent back in addition to his relationship with Connor. But we wont get that, we'll get a watered down piss poor imitation/reboot that lacks the dread of the first film and try's to call itself "Terminator".

I'm starting to agree, they need to end this, just reboot the series. Have Dwayne Johnson as the Terminator but use a different model, because Schwarzeneger will always be the T-800 model 101. There is NO Terminator 5, only Terminator "insert whatever"

of all the Reese candidates I like Kitsch the most as an actor; But he doesn't fit the part. When I think of Kyle Reese I see Biehn as what Reese most looks like. Because of that I say go with Hedlund.

IMO this franchise is dead. They already ruined the ending of T2 with T3 and, Dont even get me started on that Piece of shit Terminator Salvation i literaly walked out of that jumbled mess. Unless James Cameron has any sense in his head to fix this franchise i have no interest in this movie.

I am concerned. This franchise needs to me FORWARD. I don't imagine that there are hardly ANY potential viewers who want to see a Terminator (Arnold or otherwise) go back in time and deal with a pre-adult Sarah Connor. That basic scenario has been done to death.

As someone else said, this film should show a the war really progressing, see the T and Kyle being sent back, from the perspective of the future.

I like Hedlund and Hardy.

Why can't the movie just be about the future war? I really wanted one like what was shown at the beginning of T2.

There was Terminator Salvation but I was not a fan of that depiction.

So I would like a Terminator film like James Cameron wanted. But because the technology was not where he wanted it to be he brought the Terminators back in time. Now is the time for that movie.
