"However, the solicitation promises an eventual team-up with both Frank Castle and Daredevil."

*gasp* You mean a sequel to this!?

sameoldthing - 1/18/2014, 4:59 AM
Well,I know its his book but if Otto-Spidey can have a bulletproof costume then The Punisher should have ammo / weapons that can do him damage or...WHAT'S THE POINT?!

If Castle inhabits the superpowered world of the Marvel U,he's gonna have gear that can kill powered people.
Its that simple...piss poor writing.
sameoldthing - 1/18/2014, 5:02 AM
After examining the panels...Otto-Spidey webs his torso to protect him from high powered rifle rounds at near point blank range?
DUMB...a bulletproof costume would seem more logical. Otto is a genius intellect, should be able to create that.
Tuuralihn - 1/18/2014, 5:14 AM
I really prefer this Spidey suit to the cinematic ones.
Bl00dwerK - 1/18/2014, 5:40 AM
A bulletproof costume could probably restrict movement. Spidey is all about movement...
Alfredo27 - 1/18/2014, 5:51 AM
How do you come to the conclusion his suit is bulletproof? Its obvious he is using his web to deflect the bullet.
jimoakley666 - 1/18/2014, 5:52 AM
Nice interior artwork, but that cover is pure beauty!
TheDpool - 1/18/2014, 6:01 AM
Things are coming into place for peters return which is exciting but I feel like I've only just started to appreciate superior Spiderman.
Interestein - 1/18/2014, 6:13 AM
My two favourites, hell yeah!
HOTSHOT - 1/18/2014, 6:46 AM
This helps get over the awful stench of Ramos's (Ramos'?)artwork. Looks wicked, can't wait to see how all this ends.
exodus147 - 1/18/2014, 7:32 AM
Spiderman (pete) has designed various bulletproof suits over the years when the situation calls for it. Spider Armor V1 and V2. If the webs are strong as steel then surely theyd stop bullets. I call bullet proof web vest quick thinking. Good Job Otto.
ShogunNevets - 1/18/2014, 7:39 AM
His suit isn't bullet proof cause he was dodging bullets up until he put his webbing on him, his webs are probably bullet proof which I think is a cool concept
ShogunNevets - 1/18/2014, 7:43 AM
Nice interior artwork also
GUNSMITH - 1/18/2014, 7:48 AM
IF PETER PARKER IS COMING BACK-IN HIS BODY...WHERE WILL OCTAVIOS GO?
mctrinket - 1/18/2014, 7:50 AM
Since when is webbing bulletproof?
Matador - 1/18/2014, 8:36 AM
Since The Superior Otto redesigned all of Peter's equipment hell look at his web-shooters. Now that's hi-tech!

To bad Otto's going bye bye stories were actually more interesting to read in his run.

No hate on Peter or Otto it's just who brings a better story.

"You can't expect your star player scoring or making goals every time because then it's expected but when someone new shines when least expected that's what makes it a memorable story."
jlabatman - 1/18/2014, 8:44 AM
@Gunsmith, yeah was definitely wondering the same thing! His body is dead!
ManCalledSting - 1/18/2014, 8:45 AM
That webvest move was [frick]ing slick as hell. Ock-Spidey has been really great, and this will be remembered as one of Spiderman's best stories.
ManCalledSting - 1/18/2014, 8:47 AM
Simple, he has a back up plan set up from his time as Spidey, and he'll have a cloned body of him in his prime. He'll be presumed dead for a while, but he'll be back with some return story. Probably with him revealed as a mastermind of a scheme against Parker's personal life.
AsgardianHobo - 1/18/2014, 9:20 AM
I think OldGreg hit the nail on the head. That sounds like a very probable way they could bring back Otto
GoblinBomber - 1/18/2014, 9:25 AM
You're guns can't penetrate my web vest
ManCalledSting - 1/18/2014, 9:29 AM
Spider silk can be woven into a bullet proof mesh.
Shadowmaster35 - 1/18/2014, 9:31 AM
BIGGER GUN Frank.
rabid - 1/18/2014, 9:51 AM
Thwip! instant bulletproof vest!!
And that's why Otto is superior to Peter.
rabid - 1/18/2014, 9:58 AM
Ock's memories might still be in the powered-down Octobot, so even if they killed off this version of his mind, the original memories could be implanted in the next person who turns on the bot. And they wouldn't remember a shred of the Superior Spidey days.
sameoldthing - 1/18/2014, 10:47 AM
Still believe it's poor writing to have The Punisher exist in Marvel U without having more advanced weaponry to deal with superpowered perps.

In the past it's been shown Castle as formidable against powered foes but writers keep using him as a punching bag.
Crappy writers keep perpetuating he's incapable then why use him?

Punisher is too good for this treatment.
DTor91 - 1/18/2014, 11:21 AM
@sameoldthing

You and the other's do know Spider-Man's webbing is as strong as steel right? Secondly, how could have Punisher predicted? Spider-Man could be shot down with regular bullets. He wouldn't need higher tech for him. And even at that, we don't know what happens in the following pages. For all we know it's a lure and trap. How can anyone jump to conclusions with just a few pages. Complaining for the sake of complaining…as always on this site.
DTor91 - 1/18/2014, 11:21 AM
predicted the vest, when as far as I know, this is the first time Spidey's done that?
LordHuck - 1/18/2014, 1:21 PM
sameoldthing

Don't care.

Punisher should never be able to down Spider-Man. SM is an elite hero, and Frank is a douche swat/merc type with some guns.
Alfredo27 - 1/18/2014, 1:27 PM
one strand of webbing is not bulletproof, a mass of them bundled is.
fanboy03191 - 1/18/2014, 1:42 PM
GUNSMITH, Otto is going to hell, where he belongs.
fanboy03191 - 1/18/2014, 1:44 PM
Seriously though, I never bought the 'second chance at life' angle because he took that life from Peter Parker, a good man who always tried to do the right thing. That's about the worst thing I can picture someone doing. Stealing a life, especially when you [frick]ed yours up so bad through blind arrogance.
SCURVYDOG619 - 1/19/2014, 2:32 AM
So why didn't Octo-Spidey's Spider-Sense go off before Frankie decided to open up a bullet party on him?

Hmmm....
wcwpoet - 1/19/2014, 8:46 AM
I do like the art. Ordinarily I hate the Punisher but how could you not root for him in this case. Just can't wait for the Reall Spider-Man's return.
