This and Thor: God of Thunder are consistently the best books Marvel puts out every month. It lives up the idea of synthesizing the X Men and Avengers into one book. All at once it has the feel of a classic X Men story by Chris Claremont and a classic Roy Thomas Avengers story - only wrapped up in modern packaging. These stories don't talk down to the reader and don't presume that you can't keep up with a Marvel story unless it has a #1 slapped on it.

Well said, Beane2099, this series is incredible.

Every time I read an issue it leaves me in anticipation for the next all month. Besides the art, writing and characters being amazing (Cap, Thor, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch and Rogue on one team - not only some of my favorite characters, but Remender doesn't just let the dynamic that exists between the characters just be, he really creates an interesting and engaging dynamic that makes the story really ABOUT the team, not just team vs other guys) is the way this series is really dealing with consequences of each character's pasts and the way that their personality traits, noble as they might be, are coming back to haunt everyone.

Did Cap try to blow Firelord? His face is pretty burned! I've got to get caught up on this storyline.
