not digging the art. Yeah I am first.

It's an annual. Marvel has never felt the need to put quality artists on annuals.

How long before Parker comes back and ruins the whole thing?
SweatyHands - 3/18/2014, 1:15 PM
The lines are bold, yet simple. I like the color work as well. Rodriguez brings strong character with a refined feel. I'm just curious, seeing as I usually disagree with the comment section when it comes to art, what artists do you all enjoy? Feel free to name a few runs in particular that you really appreciated them for

Gorgeous artwork.

The people on this website are just... fuking hell. DDDUUUUHHHH!

I find the style of the artwork really lends itself well to a Urich based story.

@sweaty Currently, the first that comes to mind Capullo. His Batman gets me all warm and tingly in the special area

I don't hate the art but I can't stand how so many comic books now-a-days have pastel color schemes. Comics should be bright... or really dark... not Easter colored.

Josh

You check your spelling on Hobgoblin in the title of the article.

Wtf?
FusionForce - 3/18/2014, 10:00 PM
Didn't we already have a sh!tty annual?
dethpillow - 3/19/2014, 12:21 AM
i like this a lot, i like the pastels too. similar to some of last year's Waid Daredevil covers.

you guys seriously are idiots about art on this site. it's not people agree with you in general at all either. i don't know why it's really happened like this but this site, as far as actual comic book readers has ended up like the backwaters of Arkansas or something. it's like total hicksville USA here.

u guys are seriously pathetic. it's like going to some little town where everyone only listens to Nickelback and Limp Bizcuit or something.

yeah, i hear those new high falutin "songs" on the radio, but aint gone hold no candle to the classic art that is Nickelback. u can take your big city ideas right back home witchoo boy. this is Nickelback country, damn straight. now u got a quarter for a pop, cuz i'm mighty thirsty? spent my last quarter on a jimmy bean stick, and i been cravin a pop, like u wouldn't believe...

@FusionForce - i was thinking same thing....they just had an annual and it for sure hasn't been 2 years that Superior has been going on. strange.
Marvel and annuals is a funny thing. i don't think they understand what an annual should be. i saw the Iron Man annual and it was just a bunch of random crappy b-side type stories that didn't add up to anything. it was embarrassing to Iron Man.

annuals are supposed to be things that add something special, or do something especially fun or tell a story kind of "out of time" that sums up the character universally in some way. but usually also adding in an unusual team up or a concept left dormant and untied in previous issues. it should have a feeling like a family christmas dinner or something.

maybe they got this one right, but it sure seems like we just got a Superior annual maybe 5 or 6 months ago.
