Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

Starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis, Jupiters Acending is set to be released on July 18th, 2014.

This movie like it's been done by the 'Battlefield Earth' people.

It's a lot more interesting when a character's actions "alter the balance of the cosmos" without being overtly and obviously stated as such via a prophecy or whatever. It's a lot cooler when it just happens that way. Like Luke. Versus Anakin, who was a pawn in a prophecy. Luke discovered his journey as he went along, his CHOICES guiding the storyline and leaving the ending more open. Much cooler journey to go on that feeling like the ending has been spelled out already and the story reverse engineered to get to the predictable ending.

Don't know how anyone can stand this girl. She's the worst part of everything she touches.

To be honest I don't know how I feel about this movie...

I actually like this pretty much so far. The universe looks interesting enough, and I'm curious about the villainous Eddie Redmayne. Only thing that's bugging me is that to me Kunis feels wrong for her role, I'd want someone like Lily Collins there. But what do I know? :D

Oh, and I believe Tatum's character would look way less weird if he had darker hair.

Mark my words, this "movie" will bomb. Just like Edge of Tomorrow will.
TheBaroness89 - 4/15/2014, 11:58 AM
This and Edge of Tomorrow...agreed. Both look like:

Ok so, have they thought of every possible way to make this film as retarded as possible? Elf ears? Check. Channing Tatum? Check. Glowing, flying sneakers? Double check.

Finally figured it out! Thanks Gunsmith!

This movie is secretly a wacky comedy, right? No, just the Wachowskis being themselves. Who keeps giving them money to make movies? They need to team up with M. Night Shyamalan to make the greatest shitty movie ever. Nic Cage will star.
Kyos - 4/15/2014, 1:06 PM
Waaaait... her name is "Jupiter Jones"?! Didn't realize that until now. This changes everything:

This movie looks awful.

Tatum & Kunis...attractive people with no acting talent.
You gotta throw in at least one real actor to make a decent movie.
KIDDSOUL - 4/15/2014, 3:36 PM
The vibe I am feeling from this film is unusual. It seems so different unlike anything iv'e ever seen that I might go watch this.
Spock0Clock - 4/15/2014, 5:43 PM
Channing Tatum is a block of wood. I don't understand how he keeps getting work.

The most wonderful thing about tiggers is that they're the only one?
