The delay for this issue has been dreadful. Can't wait for this series to wrap up and see the new Dick Grayson status quo.
CavEl - 4/23/2014, 5:39 AM
@TonyChu - DC already told us what happens to Grayson. Don't look at Nightwing Solicitations if you don't want to know.
KrazyForKomix - 4/23/2014, 5:39 AM
Camelot 3000 anyone?
darklighter1 - 4/23/2014, 5:40 AM
Luthor to Luthor blast to the nuts. Lex fights dirty.
TonyChu - 4/23/2014, 5:41 AM
@CavEl I know they are going the whole secret agent route. I just want to see how it's going to begin.
duncboy - 4/23/2014, 5:47 AM
Oh snap Lex vs. Lex - looks good!
BenjiWest - 4/23/2014, 5:51 AM
They really meant it when they decided to call this Forever Evil. C'mon lets wrap it up DC.
Havensent - 4/23/2014, 6:20 AM
My God, Gary Frank's art is just so damn good. His cover >>>>>Sciver's btw.
Nytwng77043 - 4/23/2014, 6:24 AM
I want the second cover.
CombatWombat - 4/23/2014, 6:47 AM
the first cover is a reference to Frank's stuff on Shazam with Geoff Johns

CombatWombat - 4/23/2014, 6:50 AM
at least that's what I thought. Artists have been know to ape themselves
johnnymarr - 4/23/2014, 6:50 AM
Geoff Johns, one of the worst writers in comics. You sucks, dude!
GAThrawnIGF - 4/23/2014, 7:01 AM
@ Johnnymarr: At least he knows when not to add "s" to the end of words...you shouldn't say writing sucks when you say something like "You sucks, dude!"

Also, Geoff Johns is awesome, and he saved Flash and made Aquaman worth a shit for the first time ever. And now that he's working on Superman, that book will actually be readable.
johnnymarr - 4/23/2014, 7:19 AM
@GAThrawnIGF: DC Comics fans have got to stop drinking the Kool-Aid. Otherwise, Marvel will keep kicking DC's ass.

Yep looks like we got another Marvek artard. Marvel has a hell of a film studio, among the best in the business. But again, maybe educate yourself on DC COMICS before you troll a thread Einstein. DC comics are very successful and geoff johns is named one of the best writers in the business.

Anyways, all the good stuff I read always gets delayed. First Unchained now this. I like Luthor fighting the "Mazahs" Luthor.
johnnymarr - 4/23/2014, 7:40 AM
@DrunkenPirateNukem

Would you report me for saying the truth?

Massive butthurt detected. ;)

HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 7:44 AM
There's no butthurt here. Your just another mindless troll. In film Marvel is one of the biggest studios period. In comics you can't possibly think DC lackluster unless of course your another under 20-25 year old poser fan who doesn't read comics and only pays attention to film.

johnnymarr - you're entitled to your opinion, but that doesnt make it "truth" it makes it an opinion.

I think Geoff Johns writing is great. GL:Rebirth, Blackest Night, Flashpoint and now Forever Evil are all better than anything Marvel has put out in the last 10 years... unfortunately since I like Marvel too.

At least DC's events are fun and exciting, while Marvels fall flat and always seem anti-climactic.

But again, unlike you, Im aware this is just my opinion

Tevii - 4/23/2014, 7:48 AM
That Nightwing cover was ruined by the news last week that Batman's Ward has now become Agent Grant Ward of Agent of SHIELD
Tevii - 4/23/2014, 7:52 AM
Johnnymarr - If we're keeping score, here it is:

MOVIES - Winner - Marvel

COMICS - Winner - 50/50 or DC (Since Marvel seems so messy and convoluted recently)

TV - Winner - DC
Toys - Winner - DC
Animation - Winner - DC
Video Games - Winner DC
johnnymarr - 4/23/2014, 7:53 AM
@Tevii

I'm much more a DC guy than a Marvel guy. But I really believe that DC is losing fans and readership with guys like Johns in control of titles like Justice League.
HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 7:53 AM
The only ones who really seem to keep score are the so called Marvel fans. Childish.
Tevii - 4/23/2014, 7:58 AM
I like Geoff on Justice League.

Throne of Atlantis was great, Trinity War was a bit weak, but it was more of a prelude to Forever Evil anyway.

The first arc was decent and it translated well to film
HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 8:02 AM
Johns starts Superman in issue 32 I believe. For now I'm enjoying Doomed.
KrazyForKomix - 4/23/2014, 8:11 AM
Neither Marvel nor DC are-and-or-were "messy and convoluted." Just let the writers and editors tell the stories they're inspired to write. Nobody wins when they try to make sense of two incredibly VAST multiverses. Just stop, the chaos is interesting and provides fertile soil for lots of ideas and new angles. Just think back and you'll see that so many characters born out of the "accidental" birth of multi writer histories are more interesting than some that have directed and immutable origin stores. The Vision, Greer Nelson and Patsy Walker, Rick Jones, and Donna Troy. THESE are characters (and the paths they've taken) that other more mainstream characters have found so often to be pivotal elements in their respective universe.
I'm just saying' . . .
All little chaos ain't a bad thing.
HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 8:28 AM
I plan to pick up Secret Origins this week. Love the cover art.
sKeemAn - 4/23/2014, 8:34 AM
The cover art on these are incredible. I'm a big fan of Johns. He's made me a huge fan of DC with his writing
Tevii - 4/23/2014, 8:35 AM
Krazy - I get what you are saying and I disagree. I agree chaos is a good thing, but not the convoluted mess it is now. A new reader has NO IDEA where to start with Marvel. 616, Ultimates, NOW. 10,000 spidermen (yeah Im exaggerating)3 Nick Fury's etc. etc. Its a convoluted mess. DC experienced the same thing in the late 70's. It comes with constant growth and addition of characters as well as alternate universes. That's why they did Crisis in the 80s, to streamline it again for new readers.

Marvel is overdo for something that streamlines for new readers, in a COHESIVE way. NOW was done so randomly, with no clear design.
brotherfarmer - 4/23/2014, 8:47 AM
@Tevii

I agree with your 'score', for the most part. Up until the Cap:TWS fallout episodes of AOS, I would have put DC ahead. I'm a huge DC fanboy, and I love Arrow, but it does suffer from a lot of the CW problems that plagued Smallville. The writing leaves convenient plot holes for the sake of story progression and the acting is precisely what you'd expect out of the CW. None of these are enough to make me not enjoy the show, but they're still there.

AoS, on the other hand is getting consistently better, and the Whedon camp is great at weaving plots that tie back together and pay off huge dividends. Right now, I would say that TV is realistically 50/50. Both camps have strong, rabid backing, a solid case can be argued for both, and both have potential badassdom in their future (DC's Flash, Gotham and Constantine vs. Marvel's Agent Carter and Defenders Netflix Saga).

On a side note, I don't necessarily think animation is a huge win, Marvel currently doesn't have much showing there, and with DC cancelling Young Justice (arguably their best show recently) and GL in favor of Teen Titans GO! and ANOTHER Batman series, they're playing it a little too safe for my tastes.
DrunkenNukem - 4/23/2014, 8:50 AM
@johnnymarr

Don´t worry, i dont report anyone here. And even less im going to report a guy who is saying nonsense
DrunkenNukem - 4/23/2014, 8:51 AM
What truth??? Geoff Jhons one of the worst comic writers??

Not even close.

Check again that "truth" of yours

DrunkenNukem - 4/23/2014, 8:56 AM
If you don´t like Geoff Jhons, that´s fine. But dont come here posting dumb things like he is one of the worst. When the truth is that he has made great stories. Read his Green Lantern, Hawkman comics, he even make Aquaman relevant again.

HeadPool420 - 4/23/2014, 9:01 AM
Love Gary Franks art style. So clean and smooth!!!!
thebearjew - 4/23/2014, 9:08 AM
whos that? on the cover in shazams suit? it look like a beefed up wally west with a beard
damn Irish
HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 9:23 AM
@Bluedude it's Alexander Luthor. He was found with his mouth taped shut so he can't mutter the words "Mazahs"
ManCalledSting - 4/23/2014, 9:24 AM
Looks cool, but why is Captain Marvel a ginger?
DarthDan - 4/23/2014, 9:25 AM
Geoff Johns is a golden god..
HugoStrange87 - 4/23/2014, 9:51 AM
Ultimate Warrior

See my previous post. That's Alexander Luthor
