Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes features more than 20 new interactive figures from across the Marvel universe, original storylines penned by award-wining Marvel comic writer Brian Michael Bendis, and an all-new Toy Box mode that makes it easier for players to create and share their one-of-a-kind levels and mini-games with family and friends. In addition, all characters and power discs from last year’s release of Disney Infinity will be compatible with the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Toy Box.

“Disney Infinity was, from the start, built to be an interactive experience where players could bring together their favorite Disney characters and stories to create new Disney memories. With the introduction of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, we’re ushering in a new chapter of adventures, featuring a cast of the world’s most popular Super Heroes,” said Jimmy Pitaro, President of Disney Interactive. “Bringing popular and iconic Marvel characters to the Disney Infinity platform truly takes this game to the next level.”

“We’ve worked closely with the Disney Interactive team to deliver an incredible line-up of Marvel characters and great storytelling for the next chapter of Disney Infinity,” said Peter Phillips, EVP and General Manager, Interactive & Digital Distribution at Marvel Entertainment. “The 2.0 edition will allow Marvel fans around the world to interact with their favorite Marvel Super Heroes in entirely new ways, including compelling gameplay and a new line of collectible interactive figures.”

The Avengers’ Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Hulk and Hawkeye will debut when the game launches this fall, along with additional Play Sets and characters from other popular Marvel and Disney franchises, which will be announced in the coming months. Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes will be available for the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, the WiiU™ system from Nintendo, PC and iOS tablets and smart phones.

“Marvel Super Heroes fit perfectly into Disney Infinity, and with them we are pushing the platform’s limits of creativity and imagination,” said John Blackburn, VP and General Manager of Avalanche Software. “We’ve enhanced and redesigned the gameplay to match the Marvel characters, while also making it easier than ever for players to express and share their own creativity.”

The game is being developed by Avalanche Software and is currently rated “RP” by the ESRB.

I'd give this a go if I didn't have to collect toys to play as the characters.
HavocPrime - 5/1/2014, 4:22 AM
Feeling sorry for parents already

We need a proper Avengers game, open world and all.
SmokenOaken - 5/1/2014, 4:27 AM
Wow... Ok, I guess its time to get the kids this game. Yes, its for the kids. I swear. What are you looking at??
TheDpool - 5/1/2014, 4:29 AM
Its cool to see what the Avengers look like Pixarized but in not spending money everytime i want to play as a new character.
kalelhawj - 5/1/2014, 4:33 AM
Marvel games are for adults while DC games are more gear for teens and adults
UltimateTypeface - 5/1/2014, 4:34 AM
yay at last marvel is going all time on their animation - just a matter of time before Marvel got the Pixar quality.
NoAssemblyReqd - 5/1/2014, 4:37 AM
The original game is amazing. Adding Marvel? Goodbye money, goodbye free time.
Kurne - 5/1/2014, 4:37 AM
When Age of Ultron promotion begins, I hope they throw out Hawkeye and Widow and replace them with Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and (possibly) Vision.

I'd be fine if they were promoting 616 Hawkeye for [frick]ing once.

kalelhawj -......... Good one.
Vortigar - 5/1/2014, 4:51 AM
I might just get some of the figures and forget about the game. Love the personality that's sparking off them.

Even the Black Widow one, every statue they make of her is usually the half-zipped, sultry, "wouldn't you like to have your way with me?" look. This is miles better.

If they make a Dr Strange one, I'm definately hunting it down.
CorndogBurglar - 5/1/2014, 5:00 AM
Goddamn it, just take my money.

I've already got my daughter all the Disney characters. I thought I was done, but now they do this to me...

Oh well, I see it as "family quality time", as me, the wife and daughter all love comics. This will be fun and worth the money.
patrat18 - 5/1/2014, 5:04 AM
Black widow shoots bubbles.
CorndogBurglar - 5/1/2014, 5:05 AM
Kurne

If you look, Hawkeye IS the 616 Hawkeye. He has all black, with the purple stripe across the chest. This is the costume Hawkeye has been wearing in the comics for years now.

Ah

My son loves The Avengers, as do I, so it's almost required of me to get this game

GIVE ME TASKMASTER
DeathAdder - 5/1/2014, 5:43 AM
What the hell is this crap? GODDAMMIT MARVEL!! Give us a more mature Marvel/Avengers videogame aleady!! Enough with this and the LEGO kiddie crap BS already!

After countless games, they finally start getting Iron Man's repulsor blasts correct (no they don't bounce off walls and look like Cheetos puffs Activision and SEGA) but it's for this nonsense and LEGO kiddie crap.
AlexanderLykins - 5/1/2014, 5:45 AM
Two things would keep Marvel at the top. Marvel/Pixar movies and an actual Avengers game.
Fun1gUy - 5/1/2014, 5:47 AM
rocket and groot huh, looks nice
Gamera623 - 5/1/2014, 5:50 AM
I love that this is compatable with the other Infinity figures.

So me and my wife can play together fighting evil as Iron Man and Rapunzel.
Or as Nick Fury and Jessie the cowgirl from Toy Story. :)

Or, (more serious and kinda cool), the Avengers and The Incredibles crossover.
biggcess - 5/1/2014, 5:57 AM
As a parent of two boys who love Disney Infinity and the Avengers, I would like to say....

[frick] YOU DISNEY/MARVEL!!!!

I will now accept any donations.
lntrn8 - 5/1/2014, 6:25 AM
money maker . . . each of the figures cost about $12
McNyagano - 5/1/2014, 6:43 AM
That looks sick! Did anyone else see Rocket Raccoon and Groot *_*
Ravn987 - 5/1/2014, 7:10 AM
I'm just excited that Infinity is getting a much needed update! I couldn't care less about at least half of these Marvel figures they've announced, give me Spiderman, GOTG, and maybe Wall-E, THEN I'll be interested.
blackandyellow - 5/1/2014, 7:22 AM
I'm sure kids will eat this up.
Havensent - 5/1/2014, 7:53 AM
Never played this series before, but boy do I want to now. This looks incredible.
MrMccormick - 5/1/2014, 8:14 AM
as a huge collector, marvel fan and video game guy this game will kill my wallet. and I'm okay with that
SecNotSure - 5/1/2014, 8:25 AM
I laughed when my wife bought this game, but it is pretty addicting and making your own games takes me back to the Excitebike days of designing your own tracks. Awesome. I'd be lying if I said I'm not excited for this.
Spock0Clock - 5/1/2014, 8:36 AM
I just want an open world NYC sandbox where I can fly/run around as different Marvel characters. Is that so hard to make?!
furyanhunter - 5/1/2014, 8:46 AM

Shadowmaster35 - 5/1/2014, 8:48 AM

Darktower - 5/1/2014, 9:42 AM
cheap and lazy!
ThrotTheUnclean - 5/1/2014, 9:47 AM
God I hate the look of Hawkeye. Couldn't stand it in any of the films and I think it is terrible here too. Except at least here they gave him some purple.
