You see the issue with this is that its creating a villain for a movie that does not need a villain.

The only purpose a villain such as this Dinosaur has is likely
- Causing the mayhem at the start of the film
- Being a main event in the movie for an important scene
- Being something that will chase the main cast often
- Being a villain for them to defeat/kill at the end

None of which are really aspects that i enjoy in Jurassic Park films.

This is also the most dumbest and stupid aspect of the entire movie. If you can genetically engineer several species together (Including a Velociraptor, T-Rex and Shark) then you can do virtually anything. You could cure cancer, you could sell the beast as a weapon, you could make humans live longer.

You've literally written something into the movie that makes the point of the thing being in the movie nonsensical.

Ugh [frick] off with the complaints. They're idiotic. This is brilliant, it perfectly builds on the concepts of the original.

Humanity develops ability to bring dinosaurs back? Goes all out, builds a damn amusement park to show them off, pays for it.

THIS movie continues the concept of Humanity-not-learning-from-their-mistakes, in that they succeed eventually with park idea, so move to push their genetics & to play god even further, pay for it.

Like seriously, if you have no problem with the idea of CREATING AN AMUSEMENT PARK TO SHOW OFF DINOSAURS then you should also have no problem with the same people CREATING THEIR OWN DINOSAUR FOR THAT PARK. Both things are colossally stupid for REAL WORLD LOGIC, but for MOVIE LOGIC they're brilliant and wonderfully entertaining ideas.

Jesus, the majority of commenters on this site....

It has the mouth of a T-Rex. I wonder if they make a genetically enhanced herbivore. ya know, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, brachiousaur mix. That would be even more badass!!

Now, I know this is only a movie, but if you were a scientist working for a theme park where the attractions are dinosaurs and knew that years beforehand in the early stages of the park that the dinosaurs got loose and killed a bunch of people on numerous occasions, would you think it a good idea to then genetically create a very aggressive, fast, intelligent meat eating killing machine and put it on display? Yeah, nothing can go wrong here...

If a tiny little thing like that is going to ruin your viewing experience, then you're better off not going at all.

But it really shouldn't, because it is SO OBVIOUS that T.Rex is going to take this bad bitch out. With a name as overcompensating as "Indominus Rex" (throws up a little), and a confirmed large presence for the T.Rex by the director himself, the Rex fanboys should have nothing to worry about.

So quit your bitching.

BTW, T.Rex doesn't really care if it's the "King" or not. In real life, it would sooner eat you than bask in your admiration. It didn't have the brainpower to have that pesky little thing called an "ego". It's not going to lose sleep over its role in the Dino Kingdom. ;)

I like that the language in the Dino's description is similar to what theme parks put out every time they build a bigger or faster roller coaster.

As an coaster fan, I'm really looking forward to a lot of references to real-life park-isms: FastPasses, turkey legs, funnel cakes, ride safety spiels, stroller fights...

Charcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Spinosaurus (Though paleontologists debunked the idea of it being an active land predator mainly because of it's sheer girth in the chest.), Sarchosuchus which was a massive super croc that competed with the Spinosaur....there are many. BUT...they noticed that the T-Rex tended to have a denser skeletal structure and the way the teeth are (which could crush bone with ease and not snap off like the smooth lined Giganotosaurus) designed. Meaning it could take the punishment.

WeAreVenom. Yeah the Spinosaurus was probably a big mean duck. ;) Those arms look huge thou so in an arm wrestling contest, T-Rex is doomed.
Many predators have more of slicing teeth for flesh, rather than thick bone crushing ones. I belive if you are to chase a huge sauropod, you go for the soft meat and not the tree trunk size bones it have. Want there alot of talk about how the T-Rex was a scavenger, eating pretty much anything, bone and all, thus giving it strong teeth that needed a huge skull and therefore small arms so it wouldnt tip forward?
