We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones in an unspecified role

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2, 2014.

That's a pretty sinister lab coat he's got on.

He just compared it to B&R so his opinion doesn't really matter to me.
ManofSteel23 - 4/16/2014, 10:36 AM
Brilliant movie, I think the villian count was handled beautifuly and slow-mo added to the amazingness! You CANNOT compare it to captain america because this film and that film are good for all there own reasons

Several people are comparing TASM 2 to Batman & Robin... oh god please no. not spider-man. I was expecting something bad but hopefully not as bad as that. I can't handle 3 crappy spider-man movies in a row.
ManofSteel23 - 4/16/2014, 10:42 AM
THE BEST SPIDER-MAN FILM TO DATE!
sKeemAn - 4/16/2014, 10:43 AM
So Harry is on a Sinster mission in a sinister robe, walking down sinister stairs with his sinister hairdo.
CaptainAmerica31 - 4/16/2014, 10:43 AM
Well Josh did say the acting was bad which pretty much voids his opinion to me because every CRTIC out there was head over heels in love with the acting
Jollem - 4/16/2014, 10:44 AM
Josh also liked iron man 3. so...
HeisenBane - 4/16/2014, 10:48 AM
thoroughly disappointed with the film. brilliant set pieces but poorly written characters and waaaaaayy too many of them to really get into the film. Electro almost seems pointless. Although i must say Garfield and Stone have outstanding chemistry, carried the film for me.
Jollem - 4/16/2014, 10:51 AM
@ManofSteel22 - your review sounds pretty good

WTF! Pretty sure this is yet another scene which didn't make the final cut...
xinstituto - 4/16/2014, 1:20 PM
Now, they reveal how the movie ends, ok.. I wont watch it
HeisenBane - 4/16/2014, 4:55 PM
@Josh - this scene is in the film.

SPOILERS (ish?)

When he finds Electro at Ravencroft?
marvel72 - 4/16/2014, 5:57 PM
just watched the trailer again some of those scenes are in reverse or mirror image in the final cut.
OstrichBane - 4/17/2014, 6:55 PM
The sad thing is that when Harry was the Goblin he looked like me
