In a recent interview Eric Bana was in, the subject of his 2003 role as Bruce Bannner/Hulk in Hulk came up. Eric Bana says that he is proud of the film and also in a way happy that the film didn't get a sequel. Click to find out why he's happy about that.
For many, Hulk's first live action film outing was rather disappointing in Hulk. The Ang Lee directed was well received by critics but hated on by fanboys. Eric Bana starred in the film as Bruce Banner/Hulk and was recently interviewed by Huffington Post. The subject of his film, Hulk, was brought up. Here's what Bana had to say about it:
I'm proud of what it tried to do. I apologize to all those people who were so angry about it...I'm fascinated by the people who hated that movie and feel compelled to watch it again, which always blows my mind. But, yeah, it is what it is and I certainly don't regret doing it.
I think I'm so lucky it didn't happen....One of the things I was most fearful of at the time is it being a huge success...If I had done three Hulks, it would have wiped out -- and it always takes a long time to do those movies -- so it would take six of my movies off the table.
So what are your thoughts about Bana's comments and the film Hulk? Would you have liked to have seen a sequel to Hulk or do you prefer The Incredible Hulk? Comment below. Peace and remember...
