A Look At What Might Have Been If John Krasinski Landed The Cap Role!

With recent news putting John Krasinski, among others, out of the running for the elusive Captain America role, I thought it would be at least worth a look of what might have been. Forgive me if all you savvy CBM'ers have seen any rendition before of John suiting up the Red, White, and Blue.



After seeing this pic it feels like I have dogged a very big ear' d bullet.

Stay with what your good at John. Keep making us laugh on 'The Office'! As for Cap Chris Evens is now rumored to be in the running. Out of everyone that was left on the Marvel Movie Roundup's 'Wish List' I think Evens would nail the role. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Definitely for the best then. Speaking of which, I know a lot of people want Jensen Ackles ( did I spell that right) for Cap and I agree except for when I hear him speak. He sounds more like what Hawkeye should sound like and not Cap. I don't know, just saying.

The only way I could see Krasinski as Steve Rogers would be pre super soldier serum. Even if he bulked up for the role I just imagine him always doing that akward eye contact thing he does on the Office.

Chris Evans is also wrong for the part for the same reason Ackles is wrong for the part. Having said that, they are still better than the other names I keep hearing. There are far too many "actors" (and I use the term loosely) that give me that "not so fresh feeling" that are up for this part. Having said that, there are also very few actors that could fit the part and have the acting chops to play Cap. Cap is not Superman or Batman, he will have a strong type A personality that commands attention and exudes confidence without coming across as an a-hole. I'm still hopeful that this guy is out there some where.

I just read an article in a local Tampa free paper called the Tampa Bay Times (TBT) that quoted our own Marvel Freshman on an interview he did with Dane Cook. He confirmed that Dane has already tried out for the part of Cap.

He's not claiming anything mark V...he signed a two picture deal for a rom com that will keep him from being captain america. So it looks like we'll never get to see this:

see again, people arent making fun of marvel thier making fun of krasinski for no reason. the guy is an actor and he was trying to get a part. thats what actors do. i just dont get the animosity. but hey, guesse thats just me.

As for JENSEN ACKLES and CHRIS EVANS being unsuitable, I wholeheartedly disagree. In EVANS more popular roles he has shown his ability for action, but it's in his lesser known roles that he's shown great range. London & Sunshine being good examples. As for why ACKLES is good, well, it's because Jensen Ackles is the living embodiment of Captain America!

I agree with you guys on Chris Evans. He proved himself on "Street Kings". I mean, he already showed that he is good in serious stuff when he was in "Cellular", but even so. "Street Kings" made him better for this role, in my book, than a lot of other guys.

@Evil40L My friend Jennifer wanted him for the role. I don't know why, she just did. She fins him attractive, actually. Also, he was in that Handsome Men's Club thing on Kimmel on Sunday night. I don't know how. I mean, I'm not one to be able to judge the looks of a guy((because I'm not gay)), but he looks like Ricky Gervais' nose was enlarged put on an Elephant.

First off, f*ck that picture, Krasinski would have nailed it. Chris Evans sucked ass in Fantastic 4, why would he be better now????? Riddle me that! (Lol) anyways, since John is supposedly "out of the running" that dude Vogel looks the part, I dont know if he has any acting talent. Like ive said before, Evans is terrible really. Maybe Im wrong. But im STILL pulling for John Krasinski til they officially ANNOUNCE the part, not much for listening to you assclowns
