UPDATED: Mickey Rourke AND Scarlett Johansson Confirmed for Iron Man 2

Mickey and Robert will indeed square off in the next installment of the blockbuster movie franchise Iron Man 2, AND word has come in that Scarlett Johansson will be replacing Emily Blunt as Black Widow.
Nicki Fink's deadline Holloywood made the announcement that Mickey Rourke will in fact play a "Russian villain" in Iron Man 2 -- which we all know is the badguy known as Whiplash.

"He may not have won the Oscar, but Mickey Rourke is taking his nomination to the bank. I just heard that ICM has scored its second casting deal for Marvel's Iron Man 2. After at first being low-balled by the studio to the tune of $250K, Rourke has signed on for the role of the Russian villain in the sequel after his agent David Unger got the quote up to a "significant" level despite this punishing economic climate where the studios are taking advantage of talent. (No wonder Mickey kept thanking Unger so profusely in acceptance speeches for the BAFTA, Golden Globe, Spirit, and other awards.) But don't expect Marvel to confirm any of this: they won't until all the i's are dotted and t's crossed on the contracts. I can also tell you that Sony was considering hiring Mickey to play the villain in Spider-Man 4. Rourke happens to be in Russia this week promoting Fox Searchlight's The Wrestler, and I hear he'll start researching his new role immediately there. Marvel did the same thing to ICM's Toni Howard client Samuel L. Jackson. The studio low-balled him, but then eventually came up a lot and locked in a long-term commitment for Jackson to play Nick Fury in as many as 9 Marvel films, including Iron Man 2."

This is great news. Thank God, this shows the studios commitment to only put out quality material with quality actors. The other intresting point in this story is that Sony is also considering Mickey for the bad guy role in Spiderman 4. Can anyone say Kraven?

Later, the same website reported that Scarlett Johansson did indeed get the role of Black Widow after actress Emily Blunt was unable to take the job. The site said that Johansson had actually turned down for the role in favor of Emily, but now it turns out that she was the closest second place--as she has been tapped to take the part.

Sweet, Mickey's a great actor, although...I was hoping for the Mandarin as the Villain for this movie...but I guess Marvel wants the "Big bad" bad guy to be in Ironman 3
davidzuck - 3/11/2009, 7:39 PM
Rourke would be a great Kraven.
thenumber12 - 3/11/2009, 7:39 PM
dude...I just pictured Rourke speaking in a cool Kraven costume in a Spiderman movie in my head...and you're right, he'd be an awesome Kraven
davidzuck - 3/11/2009, 7:57 PM
He's got the perfect build and look for Kraven. He even sounds like i picture Kraven would.
thenumber12 - 3/11/2009, 8:20 PM
@ Davidzuck - Mickie as Kraven, now there's a GREAT idea.
TeenIdol - 3/11/2009, 8:27 PM
Atleast this is some news that I can bear to read, unlike the troll reviews of wolvie orgins...
MidKnight35 - 3/11/2009, 9:21 PM
No offense to you guys who would really like to see him as Kraven, I'm the kinda guy that likes to mix it up in my movies... I wouldn't really like it if he played Kraven in Spider-Man 4 and say, the Crimson Dynamo in Iron Man 2. Because you get used to seeing someone like that playing a specific character and I would find it strange to see them playing a different villan in a different movie.
CaptainAmazing - 3/11/2009, 9:41 PM
yea i feel the same way. especially when its 2 characters in the same universe. thats just weird
Torque - 3/11/2009, 10:00 PM
Let's just wait and see.
SupermanReturns2 - 3/11/2009, 10:19 PM
IMDB has him listed as Ivan/Whiplash. Granted, that doesn't mean anything at this point. Just thought it was interesting.
rauchsolid - 3/11/2009, 10:21 PM
I think Rourke is too old. They need some that has more style to bring to this movie.
THULK - 3/11/2009, 10:33 PM
yeah yeah, I wasn't saying he should do both parts...it would be confusing if say Toby maguire was Spidey, and then someone else in the Marvel Universe...I know what you mean
davidzuck - 3/11/2009, 10:40 PM
WHY HER?! anyone but her! she's too... veloupuis? (spl) lol she's gotta get athletic!

ManOfIron - 3/11/2009, 11:34 PM
I think they'll touch on Mandarin in II. I don't think I'm happy about Scarlett as Black Widow though. She's pretty, but not the type of pretty you want for Black Widow IMO. ????? Who's with me!!!!!!??????
JohnClayBurchett - 3/12/2009, 12:42 AM
Scarlett Johansson? for real? man this movie is not sounding that great so far. i loved the first one but come on jf. you are better than this.
grif - 3/12/2009, 4:40 AM
Scarlett is all wrong for Widow...shes too short and too stacked and just ..WRONG

Rourke would be good in any damn role i reckon!
RorMachine - 3/12/2009, 6:57 AM
Rourke could make a great Kraven. Seeing him and the Lizard could make for a good Spidey film, and help wash the foul memories of Spidey 3 from my mind. Whether or not that happens, at least we have a good cast shaping up for Iron Man 2.
comicb00kguy - 3/12/2009, 6:59 AM
ScarJo blows. She has a pretty face, a nice rack and a butt minus. That's it. They need to CG ScarJo's face on a hot athletic body.

I concur, Rourke can play anything.
SirPrize - 3/12/2009, 7:16 AM
Ok IMBD has Rourke as Ivan/Whiplash(rumored). & Wikipedia has him tapped to play the Crimson Dynamo. (Neither website is 100% reliable, but lets look a small fact) Whiplash is not russian. He's from Cleveland. But the Crimson Dynamo is Russian. & if it's true what they said "he'll start researching his new role immediately there."[Russia] Then why is everyone thinking its gonna be whiplash? I think the bad guy is Crimson Dynamo. I don't care who plays Black Widow she's lame. & Rourke would be aweful as kraven.
mativ16 - 3/12/2009, 7:58 AM
Scar is pretty, i like her. But I dont see her as a BLack Widow. If rumors are to be believed I guess it's too late now. I would have liked Mila Kunis but as Logan pointed out she looks too young to be w/Tony Stark... so I thought as an alternate: Ona Grauer

She is beautiful, 5'6, of Norwegian, German, and Hungarian descent. She best known for her portrayal of the Ancient Ayiana in the science fiction television series Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis.

Rourke may be a good actor but he is creepy looking!

@ ManOfIron are you trying to say: voluptuous? yes she is. Jessica Biel has a nice toned, athletic body but I cant see her either as Black Widow.

I wish Mandarin was in this movie too. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa plays evil niiiiiiice.

Hey, Black widow is not lame... I like her.... She will be kick ass in the movie (Im hoping!) =:)
KeepItReal - 3/12/2009, 8:23 AM
Ona Grauer, would be great and smoking hot. Emily Blunt, was the perfect choice.
SirPrize - 3/12/2009, 8:44 AM
Scarlett Johansson? Really? This is almost as bad as the whole Deadpool situation. What is marvel doing?
I'd rather see Rourke as Kraven in spiderman, and just keep him out of ironman. He would be so much better as Kraven than Dynamo or Whiplash.
thenumber12 - 3/12/2009, 9:01 AM
Really? Emily is beautiful and taller 5'7 1/2. Ona Grauer is beautiful too & has the accent. I dont know... they both look good & would do well but Scar got it.... c'est la vie! why? she is 5'4, doesnt look like her & I cant see her pulling off the accent. Maybe she will surprise us...
KeepItReal - 3/12/2009, 9:06 AM
Ivana Humpalot, would make a better Black Widow than ScarHo, ooops ScarJo.
SirPrize - 3/12/2009, 9:52 AM
Think about this people, think about it LOGN AND HARD - Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson... playing RUSSIAN characters! Yet another sign of movie apocalypse! Mickey, while brilliant (at times - he's also made his fair share of stinkers!), is not known for his 'chameleon-like' vocal qualities, and as for Scarlett... no comment. What does the studio plan to do, enroll them in the 'Pavel Checkov School of Russian Accents'?!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, switching around the "V's" and "W's" in a sentence and talking like you just got back from the dentist after a root canal does NOT a proper Russian accent make! As for Scarlett (before anyone jumps my sh!t), "Yes" she is eye-candy, she just the WRONG looking eye-candy for this part (Olga Kurylenko ALL THE WAY!!!!!!)
loganoneil - 3/12/2009, 11:12 AM
MILLA JOVVICH WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER FOR BLACK WIDOW.I DONT THINK ITS WIPLASH...IT MIGHT BE CRIMSON DYNAMO
GUNSMITH - 3/12/2009, 11:17 AM
Regardless - Scarlett DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE BLACK WIDOW (wig or no wig)!
loganoneil - 3/12/2009, 11:24 AM
If she can actually pull off this role, I will have a newfound respect for Mrs. Johansson.
Otherwise... (groan)
adamant877 - 3/12/2009, 11:55 AM
Scarlett Johansson isn't the worst pick. Come on. Did anybody think Hugh Jackman would have made a good Wolverine. He's a pretty boy and is about a foot taller than the comic book version. It all depends how much an actor or acctress will put into a role. Than again I love Jessica Alba and she had to be the worst Sue Storm. Oh! And her getting the part probaly had nothing to do with Ryan Reynolds.(sarcasm)
Gordonious - 3/12/2009, 12:05 PM
Can't say that either of these picks "wow" me like when they picked RDJR for Tony Stark. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
alten2345 - 3/12/2009, 1:03 PM
I don't know what the problem is. I think Scarlet is an awesome actress. Does she fill my live-action vision of Black Widow? No, not entirely. Does she look like BW? Not right now, but after a few months of training and some movie magic, I bet she will impress us all.
TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 1:43 PM
Ok i doubt that scarlett will make a good black widow really she is smoking hot....but maybe shes too hot to be a BW but i thot heath was a pretty boi too and see what happened...mila would have been great but all she does is action roles call me weird but i think watching mila kickass is so lame now she does it everytime nothing special....im glad mickey is now on the ironman 2 project...i think he'll be great in whatever role they give him...i think we need to continue using awesome talent for comic book movies and i think he would kill it as kraven...i think he was made to be kraven...i dont care that he would play two different iconic villains in the marvel world..i think tobey needs to go tho...a new spidey is in order..
Neo24real - 3/12/2009, 2:51 PM
Mickey Rourke would kill it as Kraven, but Scott Adkins would kill it, bring it back, and kill it again. Nuff Said.
TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 3:12 PM
Nooo not Scarlet Johansson, she is a very attractive woman and I am SURE that there is a comic book character out there for her, just not the black widow. I'll hold judgement until I see some clips, but at the moment I just can't see it
FattSmelliott - 3/12/2009, 3:21 PM
I dont know how great Scott Adkins would be as Kraven, maybe?
thenumber12 - 3/12/2009, 3:26 PM
if rourke can play anything, he should have the role as the black widow. that's hot (disconnected, oblivious, paris hilton type smoker voice)
Betty - 3/12/2009, 4:18 PM
that will be so dumb is rouke is in iron man 2 AND Spiderman 4...you dont want to mix actors up like that, when its the same kind of movie made by the same exact studio...

and Johanson as Black Widow.......sucks. shes good looking and all, but not the look for Widow AT ALL. and to tell you the truth, i dont believe her acting is good enough for her to pull any of the role off. I dont want this movie to be dragged down by a horrible performance that shell probably give, all her movies are always lame...except for the prestiqe, but she did nothing in that film. Black Widow is a majorly major role...
JeremyBentham - 3/12/2009, 4:37 PM
Scarlett is NOT my first choice, BUT, she could do the role decently.

I'll live wiht that better then other choices they could've used.

Rourke though, I always pictured as mole man
TheSoulEater - 3/12/2009, 4:57 PM
Too bad all of Iron Man's bad guys are weak as hell. Black Widow, black shmidow.
DarkAvengers - 3/12/2009, 5:01 PM
It says Mickey Rourke is playing Villian Whiplash. I thought Whiplash was a chick in black spandex. Anybody got an idea on who Whiplash is going to be? Is it a new character?
GOTHAMknights2012 - 3/12/2009, 5:06 PM
No offense to any of you good folks, but all I keep reading is, "Scarlet is attractive, but..." Tell me why exactly you feel Scarlet J. lacks the 'chops' to play Widow. If you are unable to come up with something, I think you should all just chill out til you see some pics and clips. I for one would like to know what her daily training regiment will be. I read one of you said she is "too voluptuous". I catch your drift folks, Black Widow is average height for a woman, slender athletic build, fiery red hair, B-cup breast size with slim hips and waistline, with a petite but toned tush. Scarlet has a lot of curves. Have any of you seen "The Island" with Scarlet J. and Ewan McGregor? Her body size in that movie would be perfect for BW. That movie also gives you a taste of how she handles combat choreography. Albeit her hand-to-hand scenes are few and far between, she does show a penchant for it. Most importantly, she looks like she is fighting, not performing a rehearsed sequence. The scene with Scarlet and Ewan playing each other in the holographic Xbox game, she handles herself better and looks more natural than Ewan does. While there are other actress' who could possibly play the character better, be happy that another established and talented actor/actress has joined this outstanding cast. I will say Scarlet is a better choice than Milla Jovovich. Milla is too stoic. The only emotion she convey's to me properly is anger. I suppose it can be said you can connect with her lack of feeling. I liked the first pick, Emily Blunt best of all. Something about her seemed so... perfect, like she was blessed with the body meant specifically to act as the role of BW.

Rourke is one of the most amusing actor's to watch, no matter the role, no matter the movie. For me, watching Rourke is like watching Anthony Hopkins. Even in a movie with a terrible story, bad dialogue, and worse acting, these guys always shine above the murk. This debate as to which villain he'll play, this is a make-or-breaker. Whiplash is a B-list Iron Man villain at best. I would never want to see him as the main antagonist, or in any movie at all for that matter. Crimson Dynamo is definitely the smarter choice here. While more casual audiences might grumble over another guy-in-a-suit villain, I say [frick] them, because I know what kind of trouble Dynamo can cause Iron Man. The Yuri Petrovich CD would be a good one to use.

What about Rockwell as Justin Hammer? I haven't heard anything else on that, but I'm lazy like that sometimes, lol.

I heard not long ago that Clint Barton aka Hawkeye has a small role as one of Tony's bodyguards. Haven't heard anything since though so I dunno how truthful the threads I caught about it were. If there is any truth to it... Clive Owen for Hawkeye!!!!!

TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 5:07 PM
I'm not debating it. Variety and Yahoo and reporting Mickey Rourke to play Whiplash. The only thing I can see about whiplash is a chick.
GOTHAMknights2012 - 3/12/2009, 5:18 PM
so is rourke goin to be whiplash or crimson dynamo?
joob234 - 3/12/2009, 5:20 PM

ScarJo & Mickey Rourke Help Raise Iron Curtain : E! Online Thu Mar 12, 2009, 4:33 am EDT Buzz up! Share email imdel.ici.ousdiggfacebook
Scarlett Johansson is joining the superhero set.

Her rep confirms that the actress has signed on to play Black Widow in the Iron Man sequel opposite Robert Downey Jr. The deal was signed this afternoon.

"Scarlett is thrilled to be a part of Iron Man," her rep, Marcel Pariseau, tells me.

Meanwhile, after months of negotiations...

The Wrestler's comeback kid, Mickey Rourke, has finally sealed a deal to play villain Whiplash, according to Variety.

Rourke's team had reportedly held out for more money after Marvel's initial offer was just $250,000.

Scheduled for a May 2010 release, part two of the franchise will also include Gwyneth Paltrow returning as Pepper Potts, along with Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Don Cheadle playing Col. James "Rhodey" Rhodes.

GOTHAMknights2012 - 3/12/2009, 5:25 PM
@joob234: Actually, it hasn't been officially announced. The reason there is a split is because these site's are basing who they feel the villain is. The 2 most likely villains based upon the casting call were Whiplash and Crimson Dynamo. I have seen said casting sheet and it calls for a man in his 30's with large fame and able to talk with a Russian accent. I don't understand how Whiplash made it through the Iron Man's mini-pantheon of villains. By pissing all over us with this terrible B-rate villain you can bet IM will take a hit on popularity.
TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 5:36 PM
no actually themyth read this article: http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/03/12/johansson-in-blunt-out-of-iron-man-2-rourke-is-whiplash/

read the last paragraph or heres the paragraph: In other news, it was confirmed by Variety that Mickey Rourke will be playing the villain Whiplash. They say that the version in Iron Man 2 "includes elements from that comicbook villain and Crimson Dynamo, another Russian baddie." Whiplash is a villain who wears leather and has three retractable steel whips on each arm. My guess is that Rourke's character will not only build a nuclear powered suit of armor like Crimson Dynamo, but will also use whips as mentioned before.
joob234 - 3/12/2009, 5:52 PM
COOL!!! ; )
LEEE777 - 3/12/2009, 6:27 PM
My confidence level for this film just plummeted. *Shakes head* Combining to characters to make 1? Can you say, "EPIC FAILURE"
TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 6:35 PM
hey u never know haha
joob234 - 3/12/2009, 7:02 PM
And whiplashwith whips is based on a female character. Maybe Mickey will be playing a crossdressing hermephadite. J/K of coarse.
GOTHAMknights2012 - 3/12/2009, 7:19 PM
@MAYORofGOTHAM2011: lol. Whiplash is a male, and he sucks. I wonder whose real name he'll use. If it's going to be an amalgamation, I suppose it's a valid question. One good reason for using Crimson Dynamo was making the story use the Yuri Petrochev identity, which has a nice arc involving Black Widow and her defection from the Russia to U.S. Meanwhile, Yuri is related to another defector accompanying BW(can't think of his name right now).

I'm gonna keep monitoring for news on this film, but I gotta say it's off to a bad start with its villain.
TheMyth - 3/12/2009, 7:57 PM
ya ur right myth, no mandarin!
joob234 - 3/12/2009, 8:39 PM
Booo Johansson! I liked her in Lost in Translation and The Island, but I could have easily taken anyone else in her place. There's just something about her acting that seems fake. Rourke, I think he'll do well. I got no beef wit dat.
FiltronoVendicatore - 3/12/2009, 8:57 PM
At this point, I don't know why any of you guys get so worked up over casting until you see the movie. Heath Ledger was a fluff actor that did an amazing job as the Joker (not trying to start that subject again). Pretty much the entire cast of X-Men was questionable, and they all did great. Hell, look at Hugh Jackman. He's like 6'3" and Australian, yet he makes a great Wolverine. Granted, he busted his nuts to get ripped for the role. All I'm saying is, save your breath until they've at least started principle photography. lol
AltRockFan - 3/12/2009, 11:44 PM
Pleased that Rouke is involved not so with Johanson.
iNsaneMilesy - 3/13/2009, 1:24 AM
The Myth, ScarJo is not a very good actress. I have seen her in lots of movies and she never completely convinces me that shes not just playing the character. Especially in ensembles like The Prestige..she was the weak link in that excellent cast. Even the chick playing Bales wife (first movie) acted her off the screen. And even when she can be decent (Lost In Translation, Ghost World) its always in a quirky/comedic type role..i thought she was awful in The Island. Anyway its true that we should wait for some pics and footage before writing her off, but there were sooo many better chicks out there for this part.
RorMachine - 3/13/2009, 2:23 AM
Lmao! I guess I'm the only person who likes her. Poor Scarlet.

So why the hell is no one jumping all over this retarded villain mash-up? From what I've found, its Crimson Dynamo with 6 tentacles and his name is Whiplash. Is it because Mickey Rourke is playing the character?
TheMyth - 3/13/2009, 3:17 AM
It's been announced that Mickey Rourke, will play Whiplash.

Per EW.com @ http://news-briefs.ew.com/2009/03/iron-man-2-mick.html

'Iron Man 2': Mickey Rourke closes deal to play villain, Whiplash

Mar 11, 2009, 11:57 PM | by Sean Smith

Categories: Movie biz

Mickey Rourke, who recently scored an Oscar nomination for The Wrestler, has closed his deal to play the villain in Iron Man 2, Variety is reporting. The 56-year-old actor had reportedly been offered only $250,000 to play the role. On Feb. 18, New York magazine reported that the deal seemed to have fallen apart, although sources told EW the next day that it wasn't necessarily dead yet. Rourke's agents have since renegotiated his deal, Variety says, but there's no word on exactly how much he'll be paid. Rourke will play a Russian character called Whiplash, using elements from another comic book bad guy, Crimson Dynamo.
SirPrize - 3/13/2009, 5:25 AM
ScarJo is so wrong for this part. I have seen her in a couple movies and she is not a good actress and just seems fake. I think Mickey Rourke is a great actor, hilarious to watch, and will do a great job.
ROGUEAL1AS - 3/13/2009, 9:26 AM
It's cool Myth. I like Scarlett too. I think she is mad sexy and a decent actress. Horrible singer! But still mad sexy!
LastSon1027 - 3/13/2009, 10:39 AM
I just came across this, although not sure to it's authenticity:

From: http://movies.ign.com/articles/942/942623p1.html

January 7, 2009 - Mickey Rourke, the so-hot-right-now comeback star of The Wrestler, and Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) are in talks to join the upcoming Iron Man sequel as dual villains.

Rockwell, The Hollywood Reporter says, is up for the part of Justin Hammer, "a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist" of Tony Stark. Incidentally, Rockwell was one of director Jon Favreau's original choices for the Iron Man role.

As for Rourke's part, there appears to be some confusion. Variety says that he would play "Tony Stark's Russian alter ego, a heavily tattooed bruiser who is in the arms trade and battles Iron Man in his own nuclear-powered armored suit." The trade mag hints that he's the Crimson Dynamo.

But wait... The Hollywood Reporter describes the character differently. They say Rourke will portray "a tattooed Russian heavy named Ivan who becomes Whiplash, a man with deadly, technologically enhanced coils." That doesn't sound like Whiplash at all -- that character is a girl, except in the Ultimate universe where he's only been briefly glimpsed. The description sounds a little bit like Omega Red, but we're inclined to think that Rourke is actually playing Crimson Dynamo, as Variety states.
dizzle716 - 3/13/2009, 11:05 AM
I haven't seen this before, but can anyone verify if it's really from Iron Man 2?

http://img45.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=64371_IRON-MAN-2_122_698lo.jpg
dizzle716 - 3/13/2009, 11:08 AM
Myth, I totally got ur back about Scarlet
she's not MY first pick, but definitely not the worst AND she's gorgeous

I am pissed about whiplash... WHIPLASH? Where's Mandarin, Titanium Man, Radioactive Man, or even Fin Fang Foom?
and if they mix it the character with crimson dynamo I'll... i dunno... squirt lemonade in my eyes or something

BartonIsHawkeye88 - 3/13/2009, 11:27 AM
People like sya shit about how Scarlet is short..and yadda this and yadda that.... Wolverine is SHORT too. Hugh Jackman is like 6 foot. but they used Camera angles and Cgi to make him look shorter.

I think they can do the same with Scarlet Johansson to make her look taller...I just hope they pull off her "LOOK" since scarlet is very fair skinned....and the ACCENT is important too.
Aiiwolf - 3/13/2009, 12:04 PM
I agree with AltRockFan ....y'all need to chill and see what happens with scarlett.....i dont think shes an ideal BW but guess what shes confirmed to play the role...all the tantrum throwing in the world wont make anyone replace her...shes talented to some extent...and HOT as [frick]...all i can say and keep saying is remember heath...a bunch of y'all including me thot he would suck....
Neo24real - 3/13/2009, 12:35 PM
@dizzle716

No that's not from iron man 2. Anything look familiar?

alten2345 - 3/13/2009, 8:14 PM
OK, perhaps my initial "Booooo" was a bit over the top. And I'm not saying that Johansson isn't pretty; I'll concede that. I just feel she isn't the greatest actress. All I'm saying is that I have trouble buying it when she plays a character? I agree with Rorschach. She just plays the character. On the other hand, I feel that Gwyneth Paltrow is of a similar caliber, and I think she did a decent job. So I'll let the "Swinger" work his magic and produce some cinemacomicatomic gold titanium. By the way, I think Scarlett was decent in Woody Allen's "Scoop." So I'll cut her some slack.
FiltronoVendicatore - 3/13/2009, 10:15 PM
How do I add a picture to my posts in the comments section?
TheMyth - 3/14/2009, 10:44 AM
I got Whiplash confused with Backlash, another crappy C-rate villain. Whiplash was a female, and a mutant to boot. This just doesn't settle with me at all. It seems that Favreau is more worried about inserting the Black Widow moreso than having a good villain. If that's the case he should really try adapting the story involving Black Widow's defection from Soviet Russia to the U.S. It's a great story and use's the Yuri Petrovich identity of Crimson Dynamo. Someone said that the real name of the Whiplash character for the movie was 'Ivan', which makes me think of Ivan Petrovich, Black Widow's partner who also defects with her. His son, Yuri, is the Crimson Dynamo I refer to above. Knowing this, it makes me think they are going to revamp that story. From what I've heard however, I'm already afraid this movie is turning into shit.
TheMyth - 3/14/2009, 11:09 AM
I think I agree with SirPrize. Ona Grauer definitely has the look for Black Widow.
BmanHall - 3/16/2009, 1:35 PM
To: BmanHall "I think I agree with SirPrize. Ona Grauer definitely has the look for Black Widow."

I said that actually about Ona Grauer. =:) SirPrize agreed she was "smoking hot" but he still prefers Emily Blunt. Who do you think? They are both very beautiful.
