Lobo Movie Script Review

Who wants to see one of the baddest interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter's come to the big screen? Um pick me, pick me!! I do!!!

Apparently Joel Silver has been working on a Lobo script for years. This movie would be the answer Warner Bros is looking for to compete with films such as Hellboy. Someone from Latinoreview.com got to give it a once over and had this to say:

"Dr Strangefist likened LOBO to an alien Snake Plissken. Sounds bad ass!"

Unfortunately that was all that was reported. No plot lines, No lead actor. No other information has been released only that we now know there is in fact a Lobo script that does exist in our part of the Galaxy. I'm sure in do time Lobo will make his presence known on the big screen. Hopefully they stay true to the source and portray Lobo as the bad ass we all know and love.

	Lobo could easily hold a series of movies on his own merit. The Moore/Giffin/Bisley books are solid gold, and could translate very well to big screen. On a side note, get on youtube and search lobo paramilitary special. There's a short movie based on the book, with Andrew Bryniarsky(sp?) as Lobo. 	Yea I've mention this in past post LOBO V.S. SUPERMAN...Undertaker would make a good Lobo like someone mention earlier. Lobo is one of those characters where the acting doesnt have to be that great he just needs to come across as a real pain in the you know what be aggressive and LARGE. Rated R all the way with lots of fighting ,drinking,semi nude women,and foul language I think that pretty much sums up Lobo. 	Now here is some good news. I would like to see them make it very dark and twisted and give him that sense of humor that only the joker could truly love. He is a force to be reckoned with. Heaven dont want him and hell kicked him out. He can heal even better then the wolverine can. If they do this story line right, it could be epic. I just would like to see one movie just stick to the source. Even if they dont tie it in with superman just yet, they could leave the door open for Superman and Batman. 	Actually, being a huge fan of Lobo, i could jiz all over the place watching him on the big screen. Realistically though? For it to "make money" (you know, the purpose of making movies) it would have to be PG 13. Or else, we'll just get another WARZONE on our hands(which only lasted 3 weeks at the box office... pathetic). Correct me if i'm wrong, but "alien blood and guts" doesn't count as "gore" in the movie industry... right??? So i say, to introduce him properly to the "average movie goers", he'd have to be a part of the next Superman film. The opening would be on a interstellar base somewhere in space, where he enters a bar, get's into a fight, kills every fraggin alien extremely gore-ishly and then someone pays him to take down Brainiac. He learns that Brainy is headed for Earth and bikes off to get him. Through some ruccus in an earth-bar, Superman intervienes and they give us a battle worthy of mention. After that they are struck with shock as Brainy makes his move to take over the planet. Both of them rush to kick his ass and that's the movie!!! THEN... he gets his R rated solo film :)) If they make the movie, it WILL look like a copycat of HELLBOY which i'm fine with BTW. And aside from Pearlman, there are just no Jox with acting talent to portray him. And since he is already Hellboy, i doubt he'd do it. Now... wrestlers suck and should never be brought to film unless they undergo intensive acting classes for years prior. So that doesn't leave us with many prospects. THE BEST ONE... i'll have to agree with adamant877... is Donald Gibb. If you watch your old copy of "Bloodsport", he was as close to a "humanised" Lobo as we've never been shown before. He'd have to beef up, loose a fragg load of fraggin weight... and then maybe... just maybe... Oh and let's not forget the acting classes for him too. 	This is awesome news if your a LOBO fan like I am then your the most neglected comic fan there is.
