The Kickinger Conan Rumor Is Not True

The rumor mill was buzzing about Roland Kickinger getting the lead role in Conan. Well guys mark this one up on the Liars blog cause it has been debunked.
The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Biz Blog story on the casting of Conan was complete and total bullshit.

Again let me repeat myself: Roland Kickinger as Conan is simply not true.

Latino Review had a inside source at both Lionsgate and Millenium that debunked the entire crap fest that was: Roland Kickinger got the title roll in the upcoming Conan film.

Again NOT TRUE.

Lionsgate has not even hired a Casting Director yet for the film



But hey if the guy can act I'm sure someone in Hollywood will find a place for him. For Roland the part of Colossus in the X-movies would be cool.

Mr. Jojo Risin- Actually, we're homosapiens. The Cro Magnon were the ones right before us on the scale.

Everybody loves Magnum P.I.! It had a kick ass car, palm trees, chicks, the best theme song ever freakin' made AND Tom Selleck's award winning mustache!!!

Shaman- Cro Magnon man was an ancient Homo sapien sapien(us). Homo sapien neanderthalensis(neanderthals) were right before us on the evolutionary scale.

The rock would make a shitty Conan. Anyone Remember how bad and cheesy the Scorpion King was? Lets not soil our minds with such unpleasantries.

Kinkger has the physique to pull off Conan there is no doubt about that. Does he have the acting Chops? Who is to say. Arnie didnt have the acting chops but he also didnt have a lot of lines. Remember Conan the Barbarian is almost considered a silent film.

I am very afraid of who will write the script and direct one of my all time favorite Characters it is so easy to make Conan Cheesy that its scary.

John Millius did an amazing job but he was also a great writer and Francis Ford Coppolla helped him with the script and he had the amazing Basi Poledaris as his Composer for the film. Not to mention Arnie and James Earl Jones and a few other that I am forgetting.

Conan Should not be a Reboot but it should just be another one of Conan's Adventures. The next Conan Film should be based on Robert E Howard's only Conan Novel...
The Hour of the Dragon. Its an awsesome story where an Elite Cult brings back a 3000 yr old sorcerer and Conan is already King of Aquilonia and basically Conan is forced to Flee to later return and reclaim his Crown.
There you can have epic battles dismemberments and decapitations that would make 300 look like a kids movie.

no reboot..make it a continuation..i'd have conan exiled for some crime or false prophecy or some sh*t like that...and then have him come back to save the people...conan seems like a saviour, despite the warrior in him (i'm certain skaar son of hulk was inspired by conan)..have conan do some soul-searching in exile (like luke and yoda on dagobah)..i'd bring that princess girl back to bust conan's draws though..seriously!!

They need an unknown for Conan... The Rock... love him.. but he is not Conan..
