Back in late 2012, James Gunn named Guardians of the GalaxyWe3, Thunderbolts, and Hit-Monkey as the only four Marvel Comics properties that he'd be interested in bringing to the big-screen. Obviously, his Guardians are just six weeks away from their big-screen debut, but Gunn also once said, or joked, that he initially went to Marvel Studios in hope of helming the Hit-Monkey big-screen adaptation. Knowing this, fanboy artist Rob Csiki, whose vintage Guardians of the Galaxy poster was among the first to get James Gunn's attention via Twitter, has now shared his awesome pop art poster for the director's hopeful take on Marvel's obscure Japanese Macaque. Check it out below!

batz11 - 6/17/2014, 8:49 AM

DanteSparda - 6/17/2014, 8:50 AM

Y'know.. I wish I could say that I had the willpower to avoid clicking on whatever the hell Pasties is leading us to in my friends feed..

But, I simply could NOT resist clicking an article titled "sucked balls".
AC1 - 6/17/2014, 9:00 AM
Wasn't his first appearance in Deadpool: Monkey Business though? Wouldn't that make him a Fox property? I've only just realised this but there needs to be a Hit-Monkey movie.
Pasto - 6/17/2014, 9:05 AM
I believe it was Punisher: Warzone that 'sucked balls'.
Triptheorist - 6/17/2014, 9:05 AM
Great posters!
cipher - 6/17/2014, 9:07 AM
I think somebody should make a new "sucked balls" article, so everybody can just comment on whatever they think sucks balls at the moment.

It'll be fun.
cipher - 6/17/2014, 9:09 AM
'Course, there should probably be a few rules. You know, like a guide or something, or else we'll all just spend the thread talking about the old man.
ibravosp5 - 6/17/2014, 9:12 AM
Isn't he deadpools enemy?
HypeMusheen - 6/17/2014, 9:15 AM
BUT WHY
JorL5150 - 6/17/2014, 9:20 AM
The cougar at the carry out across the street has a HUGE rack - and she was flirting with me crazy. I mean like reaaalllllly laying it on thick.

I think on my lunch break imma go back over there and CRUSH her pelvis.
batz11 - 6/17/2014, 9:23 AM
Let's get Pasto to do it, he's the epitome of sucking balls...
Gusto - 6/17/2014, 9:23 AM
That doesn't sound very fun for me.
batz11 - 6/17/2014, 9:27 AM
...and we already know he loves the sausage...
crawley - 6/17/2014, 9:30 AM
We3 is a DC property
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/17/2014, 9:40 AM
What Crawley said. We3 was a Vertigo book.

So, basically, Gunn will only adapt comics with anthropomorphized animals or protagonists with questionable morals. Preferably both.
JorL5150 - 6/17/2014, 9:56 AM
I'm like serious - she's going to need a cane for a couple days.
maninfinesuit - 6/17/2014, 10:38 AM
Yes, alright. Those are both pretty awesome. If Hit Monkey isn't happening, it damn well should be.
JorL5150 - 6/17/2014, 11:04 AM
You know who sucks MY balls?

Ill give you one guess.

Here's a clue - it rhymes with "Yo from shmagressive"
JorL5150 - 6/17/2014, 12:32 PM
You idiots aren't even trying -
Bekss - 6/17/2014, 1:16 PM
This needs Deadpool in it.
fortycals - 6/17/2014, 1:57 PM
@ac1
No marvel was smart they put out the first issue of his mini before his appearance in deadpool.
sameoldthing - 6/17/2014, 2:53 PM
If GOTG proves to be good..Gunn needs to stick with directing than franchise for awhile.

The Hit-Monkey idea is fun but there are waaaaaaay too many better Marvel characters needing the film treatment.
mgeoff88 - 6/17/2014, 4:07 PM
That's badass!

A Hit-Monkey movie and a Detective Chimp movie need to be made. I would pay money to see those movies!
ScionStorm - 6/17/2014, 4:52 PM
James Gunn needs to direct a special 3-part Netflix Mini-series: Hit-Monkey.
marvel72 - 6/17/2014, 6:08 PM
would love to see a thunderbolts movie.
RexDartEskimoSpy - 6/17/2014, 8:54 PM
Wouldn't ALWAYS BET ON MACAQUE make more sense?
Humperdink - 6/18/2014, 12:45 PM
You know, you'd think Hit-Monkey would be some sort of fun crazy experimental sort of book, but no. It's very serious. It's not comical. It's literally a monkey hit-man. Straight forward.

That was my problem with the series.
It took itself more serious than I think it should have given the material and missed an opportunity to be something awesome.
