I own over 150 ties and 6 suits. Depending on the suit/shirt, skinny ties work really well. Also depends on what type of collar you have and what type of knot you'd like to create.

There is nothing wrong with skinny ties, regular ties, bow ties, whatever.. if you can pull it off, then cool. Typically only thinner builds can get away with skinny ties or bow ties.. but whatever makes you happy. I personally can't pull off a bow-tie very well. My wife likes my skinny ties.

Why the hell am I defending ties on a comic-book website? lol

It's a style.

I'm a professional speaker, I wear all kinds of ties when I speak at events. Same with when I conduct board meetings etc. You can wear them to funerals too. There is nothing wrong with them. It's a freaking style of tie. It doesn't have bugs bunny on it. Plus he's young. It's a more youthful type of looking tie, but many people of all ages where them.

BigDanny - I wear a suit and tie to work 4 days a week. It's my opinion and my observation that only kids with no idea how to dress professionally wear skinny ties. I do have some bow ties to rock though when the occasion calls for it.

I wouldn't expect him to be "big" because when you think of how fast he'd be moving, his calorie burning rate would be insane. However I'd prefer him to be about maybe 20lbs heavier in the muscle department. At least look more like a threat then just someone who could out-run you
