UPDATE: Black Widow, Hawkeye, And Captain America Suited Up On The Avengers Set!

The latest batch of images from The Avengers's shoot in New York City reveals Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Evans suited up for their respective roles.

Following yesterday's big reveal of Marvel Studios' The Avengers ensemble cast filming in New York City's Central Park, we now have images of three heroes from the team suited up, via Celebuzz and Just Jared.











































Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

Black Widow is looking SEXY!

Cap looks a little akward here but he'll look better post production.

And I'm liking the way Hawkeye looks. Perfect casting choice in my opinion.

My ONLY problem is that I think Cap's costume is a little too bright. I wish they would have gone for a few shades darker in the blue. They'll probably fix it in post and it will probably look amazing. Oh well, in Marvel I trust!

Natasha should have fired her hairdresser and laid off the cheeseburgers. She looked so sexy in "Iron Man 2." What a difference a couple of years makes.

lol it looks like Chris had more definition even two weeks ago. But if this is his last weekend of shooting after keeping it up for 5-6 months... I don't blame him at all.

I think that's part of the reason the costume looks sillier than normal here, it's just baggy. Good thing this will probably be less than 5 minutes of screen time.

As much as I dig the new Cap costume -- and I do -- the mask has got to go. It makes his forehead look inhumanly large.

Cap in the 9th pic down looks so embarrassed, he's thinking "I look like such a dick" They had the costume spot on in the first one, this one looks cheap and nasty.

Cap looks stiff when hes just posing but looks better in motion, i still cant take the suit seriously :( I wish i could but i cant haha TFA costume looked better

If Chris was sleeveless he'd be about as defined as Renner is. Chris NEVER stayed that bulky during TFA. They did the no shirt/tight shirt shots at the very beginning of shooting, fortunately, the TFA costume did the rest of the work.

This suit is MUCH less padded.

I like the older Cap suit better. This one looked cool in the art and in a display at comic con but not so much in photos. This one is too blue and makes his head look too big while also making him look slimmer since there's no padding. I liked the army pants look. I think maybe they should have tried chain mail because it seems to work fine on Thor's costume.

Also, wtf happened to Scarlett's boobs? They're gone.

Chris Evans is looking waaaaaaay too scrawny. Please adjust the uniform so that it fits better, or pad it. He definitely needs to get his First Avenger dieselness back. Agree that should have made his uniform darker, navy blue or black fatigues...that would have worked better. All the costumes look great, but pretty unrealistic for ladies to be running around in high heeled boots doing action stuff. Still excited though, looks great overall!

I guess they should get his costume padded up! And yeah, I prefer the costume in TFA more than this silly looking one! It looks like its missing something!
