Recently elaborating on his career with the U.K.'s Independent, British actor Tom Hiddleston surely discussed his 'God Of Mischief' reprisal as 'Loki' in Marvel and Joss Whedon's superhero phenomenon flick The Avengers.

Not surprisingly, given the exalted company that sort of get-together entails, Hiddleston calls the experience "entirely surreal". "There was one day when, as Loki, I was sat on some steps, staring at the Avengers in front of me. It would be quite odd just to look at a grouping that involves [such actors as] Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Samuel L Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth. But the fact that they were dressed in the most outlandish hero costumes was bizarre! And I thought to myself, 'This is the dizzy heights.'"

Soon there will be a day where The Avengers stars can share more than what their Non-disclosure agreement allows them to; at the moment. But until then, and heavy promotion kicks back into gear, soon we'll have more than enough go nuts over! What do you think?

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 15, 2013.

Loki facing the Team looks like this would be the integral part of the movie for me I think.
Ranger14 - 1/7/2012, 8:44 PM
What's to be said about Hiddleston as Loki? He does an outstanding job of bringing the actual comic book character to life on the big screen. That's what I like to see with CBM's.

What does Ruffalo's costume look like? Is he there as Banner, or is he wearing the mo-cap gear as Hulk? And I like that Nick Fury is included in the Avengers lineup at that point, it feels like he should be there.
sevenyearslumber - 1/7/2012, 10:51 PM
man he looks so much more badass with that long hair! haha i'm still a little disappointed about Norton not returning as Banner. would've made me so much more excited for this! i just hope the Hulk to Banner ratio is far more the former.
sevenyearslumber - 1/8/2012, 12:11 AM
ehhhh, i'm still with EBK. there are oscar worthy actors in those movies.

Bale, Freeman, Levitt, Oldman, Caine, Cotillard, Hathaway and Hardy are far more well known than Hiddleston, Renner, Hemsworth and Ruffalo.

The only things Evans was known for before CA was being the Human Torch and "The Popular Jock". I'm pretty sure that they didn't raise his stock any more than the Princess Diaries did for Anne.

Downey, Jackson and Johansson are the only cast members to rival the popularity of ANY of TDKR's cast members.
Lilvic92 - 1/8/2012, 9:14 AM
Samuel L Jackson is the highest grossing actor of all time, so the Avengers wins by default.
Ranger14 - 1/8/2012, 9:17 AM
It's ridiculous to get into "who's the better cast argument". It's all subjective. Gwyneth Paltrow is in the Avengers and she has won and Oscar, but I would never judge actors based on Academy Awards. The Academy awards is a small panel of people who are solicited by "political" campaigns by studios for their movies and actors. I suggest those that use Academy Awards as an argument for who is a better actor research a little into the tactics nominees use to campaign for nominations and winning. It's not about who the best actor is. ;-)

Considering what Caine said about TDKR, it isn't a ringing endorsement as to the level of superb acting and the storyline of the film... " Batman has very good actors in it, but it’s all about the special effects."

Generally, a member of the cast is going to go overboard praising the actors and story. I am a Batman fan, but everything I have seen and heard to date gives me some cause for concern.

Newest member of the Avenger's due in Sept....
JonStarkgaryen - 1/8/2012, 9:28 AM
Congrats SFCamerica! That stocking cap is awesome! Might have to get something similar for my little dude.

@SFCAmerica, my baby girl is coming in the end of january and doesn't have any avengers stuff. Gotta get it.

But ok, she has ramones, beatles, iron maiden, pantera and motorhead shirts already, LOL.
WinterSoldier24 - 1/8/2012, 12:22 PM
@Amzo Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification bro. =P

@knossis Brilliantly said bro. Although, I actually thought Battle: L.A. was a pretty dam good movie. But, I love america. =P

Anyway, Marvel stars are flying high and burning bright but I hear there's a remake of American Psycho in the works. T.S. mr. Bale. Marvel will keep churning out stars and they're a newly born movie company, still learning from their mistakes. No where to go but up.

Haters are gonna hate =P

Amazo - 1/8/2012, 2:39 PM
@Wintersoldier
No worries mate lol :)
