I hope Mark does an INCREDIBLE job. ;)
WolvieCBM - 1/10/2012, 3:59 PM
Love it how they also added names of the actors. Really cool.
bleedthefreak - 1/10/2012, 4:03 PM
I am actually loosing faith in this fast. The first trailer wasn't really a mind blower, and all their promotions are cheap ass rehashes. I am pretty confident it will be good, but I just can't help but be worried. I mean shouldn't we have some new posters or something by now? And what about a second trailer, anybody know any details of when that should hit?
HellsHammer - 1/10/2012, 4:04 PM
I still dont like that pic of Cap.
And hey whatda know the same Iron Man pose they use all the time
bleedthefreak - 1/10/2012, 4:05 PM
Maybe I am just being pessimistic, guess I will have to wait and see.
headlopper - 1/10/2012, 4:07 PM
Okay, what fat chick at the concession stand will I have to sleep with to get me one o' those? Damn!
MarkV - 1/10/2012, 4:11 PM
They need a really good trailer to put our fears to rest.
JDUKE25 - 1/10/2012, 4:12 PM
Pretty sweet. Tony's head looks too small on that Iron Man armor. I know the armor is bigger than his actual body, but still.
headlopper - 1/10/2012, 4:15 PM
Every kid under 13 in America WILL see this movie.

Marvel knows how important this one film is to all their other future projects; they won't skrew this up. No way! It'll be awesome!
95 - 1/10/2012, 4:18 PM
Meh, I'm not overwhelmed. A Helicarrier standee would be so fricking cool. When the new trailer comes out I think a cool poster would be one that features the snake-like Levithan wrapped around The Avengers in the middle of New York. Otherwise, this is lame shit.
CoughCough - 1/10/2012, 4:26 PM
RDJ is IRON MAN, Chris Evans is Cap..etc. So shouldn't Sam L. Jackson be called: Director of Shield?
redleaf - 1/10/2012, 4:29 PM
There's no doubt Avengers will be a lot of fun. Just don't don't expect a perfect movie or anything. I'm mainly worried how they're going to cut it off because we know there's an Avengers 2. They might be saving the best for the sequel and leave some of it hanging.
headlopper - 1/10/2012, 4:33 PM
^^^ That makes sense.
JDUKE25 - 1/10/2012, 4:37 PM
@redleaf true, that's what it will be. A fun, entertaining movie with lots of action. I don't really expect it to get too DEEP in character development. There will be arguing among the team, fighting, then a sense of trust will be seen and they'll save the day.
dmm5 - 1/10/2012, 4:41 PM
This is what happens when fanboys bitch about Cap not having his cowl on alot.... Dumbasses -_-
croniccris - 1/10/2012, 4:41 PM
i just hope everything is not sped up jus to fit it all in one movie cuz i think thats what happened with thor and jane's relationship in thor...

@bleedthefreak shameless rocks!
JDUKE25 - 1/10/2012, 4:44 PM
@croniccris agreed. There wasn't much time to get that feeling like they really had feelings for each other. Avengers needs to be AT LEAST 2.5 hours or else it'll most likely feel rushed with the amount of characters in this thing.
tweeeeenkies3 - 1/10/2012, 4:49 PM
I can't wait!
This and Hunger Games. Will be the best movies of the year!

I don't really mind Captain Americas look...It is just fine!

Ranger14 - 1/10/2012, 4:54 PM
bleedthefreak@ I think they need the standees to be consistent for branding and not update them. You don't want to make ongoing changes when you are branding a product, especially a new product.

Croniccris@ Yes, because we never see relationships move fast in a movie (thinks of all the one-night pickups throughout movie history...love at first sight scenes...etc.). All Thor and Jane did is kiss and dig each other after going through a stressful and life-altering situation. Don't even know if I would even call it a relationship in the aspect of something that takes time to develop. Hell, I have hit it off with a woman in a lot shorter time than that...and we were then in a relationship for three years.
JoshWilding - 1/10/2012, 5:00 PM
Someone should tell Marvel Studios that it wouldn't kill them to release a new theatrical poster instead of rehashing the images from those mediocre character banners and that awful toy artwork we keep seeing everywhere.
PapaMidnite - 1/10/2012, 5:02 PM
@Grif, would be lame if they put an illustration of Hulk next to actual pics. So, content yourself with Bruce Banner.
antonio - 1/10/2012, 5:05 PM
Avengers should at least 139-144 minutes.. IMO.
headlopper - 1/10/2012, 5:05 PM
General question to Brits : what exactly is a " wanker" ?

Coldblood6 - 1/10/2012, 5:08 PM
How are these standees rehashes??? These are the first promo pics for the movie. The general public has not been exposed to these pictures unless they visited the movie website.

THEY LOOK BAD@$$!!!
santoanderson - 1/10/2012, 5:09 PM
@headlopper - a jerkoff
antonio - 1/10/2012, 5:12 PM
@Coldblood they have already been used more then once.
darCNite1989 - 1/10/2012, 5:13 PM
Awesome! I can't wait to see my favorite superhero of all time, Mark Ruffalo aka Bruce Banner! I only hope his screen time isn't taken away too much so the film makers can make a Hulk appearance for his tiny-ass fanbase.
BlueHawaiiSurfer - 1/10/2012, 5:15 PM
It's pretty enjoyable when people argue about the advertising. Man...when I look back to the advertising of...oh wait...who gives a $**T?!?!
ngu38 - 1/10/2012, 5:15 PM
wrong way round ....cap then nick fury .ironman ... thor,....hulk ...then the extras ..
Francisjb - 1/10/2012, 5:25 PM
Am I the only one who thinks that in the trailer someone different says "In the end" before Loki says "it will be every man for himself"? Listen back... it is absolutely a second voice.
clogan - 1/10/2012, 5:29 PM
The new trailer is gonna come with an Alan Silvestri score, I'm pretty sure. That's why it's taking this long. (:
Coldblood6 - 1/10/2012, 5:29 PM
@ Antonio

so what?
Jolt17 - 1/10/2012, 5:38 PM
We need some new shots indeed...but I still want those in my country's cinemas! :)
bathead - 1/10/2012, 5:39 PM
So I'm really trying to like these pics and be excited about this movie. I've loved pretty much everything up to this point (I even like Iron Man 2!!!)However, Cap is easily my favorite character in the bunch and this helmet they keep showing on him is just dumb. Also WTF is up with the color of his suit? I looks soooo cheap!! Cap really needs more love, his movie was the worst of the bunch (seriously we're just gonna skip over learning to throw the sheild and learning to fight?) so I hope they're not making him a cheese ball character
blvdnoise - 1/10/2012, 5:51 PM
Looks good..
ngu38 - 1/10/2012, 5:56 PM
but ....caps .lol helmet .... top part of suit or what ever looks the worst .....good suit ......bad helmet .....lol .... caps helmet is not good
Ghostfire - 1/10/2012, 6:05 PM
Hell yeah! I'm digging those standees.
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 1/10/2012, 6:06 PM
cool but this is always the SAME pictures over and over now.
Lilvic92 - 1/10/2012, 6:12 PM
Like ColdBlood6 stated,it may be old to us but to the general public (casual audience that isn't constantly checking for news on this movie) this is very new.
Ranger14 - 1/10/2012, 7:00 PM
"cool but this is always the SAME pictures over and over now."

Like I said...It's called branding. Brand consistency with a new product (which the Avengers film is) is important. You don't want to change things up and as Lilvic said, its about mainstream public, not the fanboys who have seen it all before.
