Kicking off promotion for the superhero assembly "of a lifetime," The Avengers, Marvel Studios have declared an upcoming Twitter event will occur that'll not only offer a Q&A with writer-director Joss Whedon, among others, but also a tease of the guaranteed TV ad during the Super Bowl XLVI. Check out the press release below!

Marvel Studios announced today that they will be sponsoring a Global Twitter Chat on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 2 pm ET/11 am PST with cast members and the director of their highly anticipated action-adventure Marvel’s The Avengers, opening in theaters on May 4, 2012. The 30-minute live tweeting event features writer/director Joss Whedon and cast members Tom Hiddleston and Clark Gregg.

Fans around the world will be able to participate in the Q&A on Twitter by using the @Avengers handle and the #Avengers hashtag. Participating fans will have the opportunity to see a 10-second tease of the 30-second Super Bowl spot that will air during Super Bowl XLVI on February 5 on NBC. They will also have a chance to answer Avengers trivia for a chance to win Avengers prize packs.

International fans will be able to submit questions for the talent in their native language through a global translation tool provided by Ortsbo.com. The chat will be moderated by Marvel’s @Agent_M.

Follow @Avengers on Twitter for more details.

While this confirms that the TV Spot will be 30 seconds long, word is Disney will release an extended minute-long version immediately after, a la Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. What do you think?

@AUSSYFACE... Im a mid-twentysoomething high school american footballer and about choked on my cheerios laughing at that shit. That made my [frick]ing night. The coaching one was hysterical.

@aussyace
I'm not sure why you posted that video. It seems you want to start a debate out of nowhere. I'm American and have lived in Washington dc my whole life and I believe American football is the best sport out there period. There are hundreds of reasons I feel that way but I'll give you the top 3. This sport incorporates the widest range of athletes and bodytypes of all sports. It takes the most mental preparation and uses as much stragity as chess. Its strictly American.

Please go somewhere with the bashing of my country and favorite pastime for no reason.
Eion76 - 1/27/2012, 9:55 PM
That doesn't seem worth it
Minato - 1/27/2012, 10:10 PM
Mma doesn't use the same skill sets as football. Also mma doesn't use as much stragity as football because you have to coordinate 11 people on both sides of the ball in intricate battles over and over for about 7 seconds each. Mma only has warriors, football has warriors, captians and generals.

And to think, I thought I was an asshole for not owning a twitter account. It's good to know I'm not the only one who saw no point in having one.

Now I must have one and immediately not have one again after the 31st.
bhorwith22 - 1/28/2012, 1:37 AM
Teaser of a teaser of a teaser.
PaulRom - 1/28/2012, 5:43 AM
I'll be in class when the Q&A session goes on, unfortunately. Looking forward to the TV spot tease though.
Dickel - 1/28/2012, 6:15 AM
Nice try, but I still refuse to get a twatter account. I'll just be a little more patient and wait.
NeoBaggins - 1/28/2012, 12:30 PM
^^None of that made sense.
headlopper - 1/28/2012, 3:09 PM
Who wears a head band in 20 degree f. weather?

Answer: Bill Belichick- The biggest idiot in the NFL.(good coach tho)
NeoBaggins - 1/29/2012, 1:04 AM
@Morty

"Its timing, they are probably smart enough to know if you release things to early some may forget"

lol "forget" what? That the film is coming out? The Hobbit released a trailer a YEAR before it's relief. What idiot is going to "forget" it's coming out?

"it may spoil suprises"

If you have surprises, and listen closely; you don't show them in the trailer. Mind-blowing for you, I know.

Your last statement is so stupid it's not worth ripping to shreads. Stick to posting gifs. Actual comments are out of your league.
