MTV News recently sat down with English thespian Rebecca Hall to discuss her latest projects, which notably includes her pivotal Maya Henson role in Marvel's Iron Man 3. Praising the much-anticipated threequel's star, Robert Downey Jr., check out what the actress says below.

"He's a really brilliant improvisationalist," she continued. "He's incredibly quick-witted. Everything he brings to Tony Stark is him. Of course there's all of the tradition from the comic books, the movie, and also the writing is brilliant, but there's also a heavy dose of that character is Robert Downey Jr. He's inspiring to work with and watch. He's a force."

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. I mean everyone knows that RDJ is actually Tony Stark and that Robert Downey Jr. is actually just a role that Tony has been playing for years.
marcvader1 - 2/27/2013, 8:39 AM
Hugh Jackman?! Lol
TheSuperguy - 2/27/2013, 8:50 AM
Would have liked to have seen a SUPERMAN/BATMAN movie starring Chris Reeve and Mike Keaton...
IronVenom22 - 2/27/2013, 8:51 AM
I hope the RDJ renews his deal with marvel, i don't think i could see another actor try and fill the huge shoes he'll leave behind just yet. just a few more movies and i'll be set.

I don't think RDJ will abadon the role just yet, the one that brought back his career.
Chloefornication - 2/27/2013, 8:53 AM
Who cares? this has nothing to do with the movie. There's no new information regarding the movie at all.
Shamo - 2/27/2013, 8:54 AM
Jackman definitely has the others beat on dedication to a single hero.
AC1 - 2/27/2013, 8:56 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if RDJ actually owned a fully-functional Iron Man suit.

Hugh is more Wolverine than Jackman

@JatevinM

I know right? Like when I went to see Sherlock Holmes in teathers but it was actually Tony Stark playing detective.

The trick in Hollywood now is the get that big franchise role that you can star in every 2 or 3 years and then do your moody/indy/award winning work in between. That's how you make them dollars, playa!

Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart made me an X-Men fan - they were the best parts of those movies (Ian McKellen was great too, but he'll always be Gandalf in my eyes rather than Magneto) and the first and second X-Men movies were what got me interested in the characters, and lead to me discovering the animated series as a kid (and the various other cartoon versions which followed), and eventually got me interested in the comics, even though I've only read a couple.

Say what you will about Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, but you can't deny that he's dedicated, hard working and immensely talented, and we should count ourselves lucky as fans of this genre that someone like Hugh Jackman continues to treat this role with respect and enjoyment, when he could have just as easily used the character as a means to get his big break and then never reprise the role.

cant view it, typical

LOL Hugh Jackman...
He's the best at what he does, singing, dancing and making fans want a R rated wolverine with a different actor...

On the plus side, Hugh Jackman can ride ANYTHING...

LAXtremest - 2/27/2013, 9:26 AM
If I can recall, the Extremis armor didn't shoot out of his bones. The under sheath did.

Rebecca Hall is good option for Wonder Woman in Nolan Style!!!

and Jessica Chastain as Artemis & Monica Bellucci as Hippolyta

TheOneAboveAll - 2/27/2013, 10:54 AM
@Optimus

I would keep Jessica Chastin as Artemis but I would change WW and Hipp to have it more actiony
Jaimie Alexander and Lucy Lawless

and

TheOneAboveAll - 2/27/2013, 10:56 AM
and you could have a bunch of models in the background scurrying around
Carl - 2/27/2013, 10:58 AM
I think they will change that aspect fettastic.
They are too into grounding things for the MCU.
TheAbomination - 2/27/2013, 12:11 PM

Luigi - 2/27/2013, 12:41 PM
Holy [frick] she's English?! I just saw "The Town" a few days ago and I NEVER would have guessed.
Orphix - 2/27/2013, 2:07 PM
Another alumni of the film Starter for 10!!!

Seems like everyone in that young cast hit it big.
mgeoff88 - 2/27/2013, 10:10 PM
I had no idea Rebecca Hall is English. Actually, that's not surprising considering how beautiful she is.

Yes. RDJ is Tony Stark.

@imadick How do you know she didn't read the Extremis series to study for her character? And bitch... really? She is a lovely lady.
