Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.

Veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer (Bridges) has spent his career with the legendary police force known as R.I.P.D. tracking monstrous spirits who are cleverly disguised as ordinary people. His mission? To arrest and bring to justice a special brand of criminals trying to escape final judgment by hiding among the unsuspecting on Earth.

Once the wise-cracking Roy is assigned former rising-star detective Nick Walker (Reynolds) as his junior officer, the new partners have to turn grudging respect into top-notch teamwork. When they uncover a plot that could end life as we know it, two of R.I.P.D.’s finest must miraculously restore the cosmic balance...or watch the tunnel to the afterlife begin sending angry souls the very wrong way.

R.I.P.D. is directed by Robert Schwentke (Red) and produced by Neal H. Moritz (Fast & Furious series, I Am Legend), Mike Richardson (Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army) and Michael Fottrell (Fast & Furious series, Live Free or Die Hard).

When Mr. Bridges is asked why he did this movie he says...

HellsHammer - 5/19/2013, 8:57 PM
Don't care about the movie and I won't see it but I'm embarrassed for it.
BlackSands - 5/19/2013, 9:01 PM

OptimusPrimeTime - 5/19/2013, 10:41 PM
I'll be the first to admit...ever since green lantern, anytime I have seem the face of Ryan Reynolds I have become annoyed....HOWEVER....

This looks entertaining and that is what a movie is about. If for no other reason than for JEFF BRIDGES who is awesome in anything he does, which is obvious just from the trailers.

I swear, the people on this site have gotten absurd in their criticism. It's like the cool thing to do now is to bash and beat anything that may have a potentially weak link.

Grow up, people.

I can respect opinion so far as it can actually be believably conveyed as individual opinion and original thought, not communally spread retardation.

Majority of CBM comment section = Communally Spread Retardation.

I now call upon the one known as "Tea" for a lovely titty bomb.
agentawsume - 5/19/2013, 11:03 PM
@OptimusPrimeTime you, sir, win in my book.
TheDARKestKNIGHT - 5/19/2013, 11:36 PM
No that's just actually my honest opinion. The movie looks lame......for lack of better words.
rosco71 - 5/19/2013, 11:51 PM
Och it looks fun!
AvatarIII - 5/20/2013, 1:25 AM
It looks fun, but by god, does it look like MiB with ghosts/monsters.
GetsugaTensho22 - 5/20/2013, 3:01 AM
While the majority of CBM's commenting population is pretty stupid, you have to admit that we've had fair reason to be cynical. I mean, films have raised the bar pretty high, so when you come across something like this, it's expected to be fairly disappointed and critical of it.
Still, looks fairly entertaining enough.
Also...the pistols should go BANKAI!
Battabing - 5/20/2013, 3:29 AM
Ryan Reynolds is becoming toxic.
TheAbaryMan369 - 5/20/2013, 4:40 AM
I TOLD YOU ALL THIS IN CHAT!!! I saw it during the Simpsons season finale last night! I just couldn't find it online.........

marvelRNo1 - 5/20/2013, 7:58 AM
I really hope this does well but it does look a lot like MIB. It does however look like one of the most fun movies of the summer so fingers crossed.
People need to get over the Reynolds hate. He was great as deadpool and did an ok job as Hal Jordan. It wasn't his fault green lantern was crap. Watch him in buried or smokin aces. The man can really act.
flames809 - 5/20/2013, 8:24 AM
