“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” picks up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C. Starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp and Maximiliano Hernández with Samuel L. Jackson and Robert Redford, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is directed by the team of Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay written by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing the film. Executive producers on the project include Alan Fine, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo and Stan Lee. The creative production team on the film includes director of photography Trent Opaloch, production designer Peter Wenham, editors Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. and Mary Jo Markey, A.C.E. and three time Oscar®-nominated costume designer Judianna Makovsky. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is set for release on April 4, 2014. In addition to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on other iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Thor: The Dark World ” on November 8, 2013; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

DaenerysTargaryen - 6/14/2013, 11:23 AM
Am I the only one who finds that cap image unintentionally hilarious?
Ocelot - 6/14/2013, 11:23 AM
dafuq, there's something odd about the image
Reasonnnn - 6/14/2013, 11:26 AM
Chris Evans' beefcake build will make that suit look better
Praetorian - 6/14/2013, 11:28 AM
That isn't even Chris Evans
EdgyOutsider - 6/14/2013, 11:29 AM
It does look really good and will look obviously better on Evans. But, I can only see this suit being worn for this particular movie.
prettynucIear - 6/14/2013, 11:32 AM
where's the red? captain america is supposed to be a flag.
MrReese - 6/14/2013, 11:32 AM
Yea that's not Evans the costume is decent.
write33 - 6/14/2013, 11:33 AM
really like the new costume, and I hope the Smithsonian story turns out to be true........high level of buzz for this movie in my book.
inkslinger616 - 6/14/2013, 11:33 AM
@ClaireLannister...no your not. LMFAO.
ParisSun - 6/14/2013, 11:33 AM
That guy looks to0 skinny for that suit. Way too baggy. Hope the shots are going to be from far away. The helmet is great though.
inkslinger616 - 6/14/2013, 11:34 AM
you're**
EdgyOutsider - 6/14/2013, 11:35 AM
@write33: I definitely agree on the Smithsonian story. If it comes true then it will be epic. It will really set stage for Avengers 2, Cap 3, ect.
spidey1994 - 6/14/2013, 11:35 AM
That is one skinny stunt double but I'm digging the new suit.
marvelstudios - 6/14/2013, 11:35 AM
I gotta see Evans in that suit.
MightyZeus - 6/14/2013, 11:38 AM
Hey, thats not 'Chris Evans'...in that suit.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/14/2013, 11:38 AM
@MP79 - It'll most likely be something of either the one we saw a few months back....

Or MAYBE this....

I could be wrong about the second one, but the first one looks like that'll be his suit for the duration of the film (which I don't mind as much). I would have REALLY liked it if they had gone with a different color theme for Falcon, perhaps a dark maroon red incorporated with a few white designs in the suit.

Still, I am nonetheless amped for this film. ;)
Nomadic1 - 6/14/2013, 11:38 AM
You have the wrong tag at the bottom. This is not GotG.
TheManFromMars - 6/14/2013, 11:40 AM
@Nomadic1

Yeah, it's the big twist: Ca:TWS is actually GOTG in disguise.
TheManFromMars - 6/14/2013, 11:40 AM
I like the suit.
CharacterAssassin - 6/14/2013, 11:41 AM
Suit looks good like the first but with the ears showing this time.
jessepostal - 6/14/2013, 11:43 AM
Is that guy rockin a mini gun??
Omarvls - 6/14/2013, 11:43 AM
LOVE the costume and helmet
HATE the gloves and boots
Hopefully he goes back to his star and stripes battle uniform
thewolfx - 6/14/2013, 11:44 AM
Eww the lack of red in it is disturbin

I do like the helmet though
CharlesLord - 6/14/2013, 11:45 AM
yea i def dont like the costume now lmfaooooo. at least not on the stunt double.
TheManFromMars - 6/14/2013, 11:47 AM
There's no red? GOOD RIDDANCE!

RED IS A COMMUNIST COLOR!!!!!

;P
SuperSam - 6/14/2013, 11:47 AM
I hope that helmet fits Evans better than his double because it looks ridiculous. Everything else looks great.
SageMode - 6/14/2013, 11:48 AM
Loving this......

BT! Cue STEVEROGERSON showing his undying love for this suit in 3.........2..........1............
ctsketch - 6/14/2013, 11:48 AM
yeah lets wait to see Evans in the suit. I like the design though
ParisSun - 6/14/2013, 11:48 AM
That doesn't even look like Evans' stunt double from the fights. I think this is just a stunt driver. Maybe he doesn't need to be muscular.

I definitely love the helmet. This is the helmet that should have been used in the Avengers. I want to see Evans in the suit before I make a judgement on it.
DCMarvelFreshman - 6/14/2013, 11:48 AM
@Nomadic1 Thanks for the heads up, I'm terrible at multitasking:)
Ranger14 - 6/14/2013, 11:49 AM
Don't mind the suit, but don't care for the lack of color.
ComicFan1134 - 6/14/2013, 11:54 AM
That First Pic,BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
exe - 6/14/2013, 11:55 AM
Wow this is a long shoot huh?

Stunt double galore FTFW!
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/14/2013, 12:01 PM

Much like with Iron-Man and his vast evolution of armors, Cap's evolution of his suit is pretty [frick]in' cool. Definitely unique.

But if we can get this sometime very soon....

Then that'd be the cherry on top for Cap's suits. ;)
Akercocke - 6/14/2013, 12:01 PM
Looks great. The Avengers suit sucked.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 6/14/2013, 12:02 PM
@MP79 - I know, dude. I saw it a few months back. What I meant was that that they maybe the only 'suit' that we may see Sam Wilson don in this film.
CapemA - 6/14/2013, 12:03 PM
DCMArvelFreshman: keep em comin!! Everything is looking great!!
supermarioworldE - 6/14/2013, 12:04 PM
The suit looks a bit washed out. Could definitely use some red in there.
KrazyForKomix - 6/14/2013, 12:06 PM
Where's the "America?" I don't see the "America," in Captain America's costume. Isn't he supposed to be the living embodiment of freedom and American values?
huh.
gak.
Looks more like the Dallas Cowboy's first male cheerleader.

AND PLEASE! Whatever happens, no matter how SHIELD-issue this "uniform" ends up looking, please get rid of the chin strap. I don't care what the reason is . . . I don't care if it's a practical consideration - I don't care if it "harkens" back to the authentic WWII feel of those helmets – I don't care if the designer thought it would be cool - GET RID OF THAT SAFTEY STRAP!!

Makes me think that Fury straps him into a carseat when he gives him a lift.
