According to a recent Latino Review post which doesn't appear to be conducted or acknowledged by the infamous El Mayimbe, a trusted source has informed them that the Fast and Furious series' Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is working on a DC Comics film this year, and that project is none other than a Justice League movie. The report then reveals “the current thought amongst some insiders is that Batman vs Superman and Justice League are going to be shot back-to-back.” Besides “maximizing everyone’s schedules,” the reason for this is because Batman Vs. Superman “is going to end with an insane cliffhanger/teaser that leads right into Justice League. Having the two movies shoot back-to-back, a la The Hobbit trilogy, is perhaps why there are so many additional DC superheroes - Wonder Woman, Nightwing, The Flash, etc - said to be appearing in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel sequel next year. Before you get too excited, the Latino Review post suggests that we should still take this info with the usual grain of salt. What do you think?

Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, and Laurence Fishburne, Batman Vs. Superman is scheduled to shoot in Detroit in February. Directed by Zack Snyder from a story by David S. Goyer and screenplay by Chris Terrio, the sequel is set for release July 17, 2015!

I can just hear WB execs shouting "FASTER! FASTER!!"
ksommer - 1/13/2014, 11:13 AM
Lame...
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:14 AM
I have been saying this all along they were going to do chapter movies, which is smart.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:14 AM
@ Simon

Naw you have WB execs looking at LOTR for example knowing they can do this in a smart way and yes in a faster way but not being rushed like your are thinking.
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 1/13/2014, 11:16 AM
It'd make sense. Holloway is Arrow or Aquaman, end credits is the line up or trailer (Like Avengers after The First Avenger credits).

Best idea WB/DC has had, actually.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:16 AM
If this is true it makes sense why Gal is already working out even though she is playing a small role in the Batman/Superman movie and all the casting rumors that have been spreading like wildfire!
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:17 AM
We are not going to get any concrete until this summer at SDCC. So right now it all rumors and speculation.
TheManFromMars - 1/13/2014, 11:17 AM
LOTR nowithstanding, has any other movies that were shot back-to-back turned out decent?

I mean, there are plenty that were made that way that I liked, but most people thought were meh or terrible...

ALmazing - 1/13/2014, 11:19 AM
So no solo movies, great... assuming that this rumor is true of course.
knocturnalzen10 - 1/13/2014, 11:20 AM
............i dunno what's happening right now -_-
MexicanChinman - 1/13/2014, 11:20 AM
I don't believe this. I'll wait until WB reveals actual news to believe anything, like everyone should and not believe speculation from "a trusted source".
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:20 AM
I could see them doing a Justice League Lite and then branching out to solo movies and then doing a full blown JL.
brazilianbatman - 1/13/2014, 11:21 AM
whaaat?? that certainl wouldn't be a bad idea. it does make sense now all the talking about not only Wonder Woman but other heros and villain joining the movie.
knocturnalzen10 - 1/13/2014, 11:21 AM
would that mean synder would be shooting JL as well ?
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:21 AM
You know what this may be the reason why DC/WB are not officially announcing any casting right now........
brazilianbatman - 1/13/2014, 11:22 AM
im hoping that the next movie is just a hero finest movie and then justice league rght after.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:23 AM
@ Knocturnalzen

Maybe Snyder will do Batman/superman then JL but during JL you have Affleck directing Batman etc.... WB may be putting out two movies a year like they said they were planning on doing.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:23 AM
So we may get several spinoffs to team up movies, dang I wish WB would just give us some info.
TheManFromMars - 1/13/2014, 11:24 AM
@MARVELPSYCHO

Yeah, I know about the BTTF sequels. I like them very much, but I thought most people considered them subpar. Glad to know that most people lke them too.

Now, that I think about it, wouldn't the MCU movies kinda qualify for shot back-to-back?
ALegendaryPanda - 1/13/2014, 11:24 AM
If this is true.....DAMN!
ALmazing - 1/13/2014, 11:25 AM
Yeah, definitely keep getting this "Rushed" feeling.
Ignition - 1/13/2014, 11:25 AM
@joemomma
I thought Gadot, whose training was described as through the shoot, might step into a solo WW film immediately afterwards. I dunno how JL would follow back to back, because Affect is directing Live By Night in September with a Christmas 2015 release date.
DEVLIN712 - 1/13/2014, 11:26 AM
Sounds like it makes sense... It seems like people will listen to Elmayimbe when it suits them and write him off as a bullshitter when it doesn't!
Ignition - 1/13/2014, 11:26 AM
Affleck* lol.
BlackIceJoe - 1/13/2014, 11:26 AM
I can totally believe this. It saves money for the studio doing it this way. I can't wait to see Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Flash & Green Lantern joining Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. I so hope these movies are going to be three hours long. I wonder if any of the films will use the 42 FPS like in the Hobbit movies.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:27 AM
@ Ignition

Good point but you could have Batman/Superman July of 2015 and JL May of 2016 and a Batman flick fall of 2016.
Curmudgeon - 1/13/2014, 11:27 AM
I could get behind that idea.

Get Justice League out in 2016 and it could rule that year's CBMs.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:28 AM
@ Almight

So you are telling me that Marvel can shoot movies back to back which they do, but WB who has successfully done this cannot do this with DC characters?
DEVLIN712 - 1/13/2014, 11:30 AM
Joe
That would be an amazing release lineup.
Also, why are Marvel fans (which I count myself part of) getting annoyed at the JL rumours? More movies means more competition, which leads to the studios working to make more quality films!
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:30 AM
Hey Snyder and Goyer said they were farther along than what we all thought. Huh I think they may be some truth to this rumor.

You have Rock posting a tweet about working with DC/WB but no official announcement yet. Also all these rumors of Aquaman, Flash, GL, and Cyborg keep floating around makes you wonder.
ALmazing - 1/13/2014, 11:31 AM
@TheManFromMars-"Now, that I think about it, wouldn't the MCU movies kinda qualify for shot back-to-back?"

Technically no since not all the movies featured the same actors and shoot separably at the same time sometimes. For instance, IM3 and Thor2 were shooting at the same time but nothing really connected both movies.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:32 AM
@ Devlin

Well some Marvelites do not want to see competition, I think that is just natural. To me with DC and Batman begins we would not have the Marvel movies we have today. And without the MCU we have today we would not be getting a Batman/Superman movie or JL movie if true.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:33 AM
@ Almight

Marvel is shooting movies back to back granted like you said they are not all truly connected but they are using the same resources etc......
Indy - 1/13/2014, 11:34 AM
Make sense to do that way be a good idea if its true.
DEVLIN712 - 1/13/2014, 11:34 AM
Joe
Exactly, competition drives quality. It's a win-win for fans, we get more CBMs whist at the same time getting better quality from them
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:36 AM
@ Devlin

Yup total agreement with you, I thank the Avengers everyday knowing that we will get a JL due to the success of that movie alone.

knocturnalzen10 - 1/13/2014, 11:36 AM
joe u have more faith then i do at this point trying place everything together with WB doin..............
ALmazing - 1/13/2014, 11:37 AM
JoeMomma29
"@ Almight

"So you are telling me that Marvel can shoot movies back to back which they do, but WB who has successfully done this cannot do this with DC characters?"

They certainly can, but Marvel doesn't shoot back to back, their pattern is usually 4 to 5 solo movies and then an assemble, they don't shoot together all the time. It just feels like they are really rushing to get that JL, it doesn't mean its going to be bad, but it is a reason to be concerned.
JoeMomma29 - 1/13/2014, 11:37 AM
@ MarvelPsycho

I agree with your thoughts no arguing there. Just keep in mind that Snyder and Goyer said they were farther along then what everyone thought. I would not be shocked if they already have a rough draft of the JL and it needs to be fined tuned, if that is the case you still have a full year before production would even start.
