Plot
Bruce Wayne travels to Metropolis to investigate this 'Superman' and also to discuss funding LexCorp's Super Soldier program leaving the care of Gotham to his young ward, Dick Grayson.
Cast
Henry Cavill - Clark Kent / Superman
Clark Kent / Superman: Rocketed to Earth as an infant from the doomed planet Krypton, young Kal-El was adopted by the good-hearted Kents and raised in America's heartland. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind from tyranny.
Henry Cavill: Cavill is yet to be seen the role but as far as I'm concerned he looks very promising. He's a very talented young actor who in the past has come off second best just losing out on roles such as 007 and Edward Cullen but it seems he's finally getting the chance deserves.
After the events of Man of Steel Clark Kent receives a visit from Bruce Wayne who questions him which soon turns sour and ends up being a fist-fight before they realise they're both on the same side and that the real threat is Lex Luthor, and his newly created Super Soldier Metallo which was made for the sole purpose of destroying Superman.
Joel Edgerton - Bruce Wayne / Batman
Bruce Wayne / Batman: Bruce Wayne witnessed the murder of his philanthropist parents as a child, swearing to avenge them. He trained extensively to achieve mental and physical perfection, mastering martial arts and detective skills.
Joel Edgerton: Edgerton recently hit it big time getting starring roles in The Thing and Warrior and will soon be seen in Baz Lurhman's The Great Gatsby. He's shown himself to be in great physical shape and I could justify this casting choice based soley off his performance in Warrior which is the best role I've seen of his to date.
Bruce Wayne travels to Metropolis to further investigate this 'Superman' and also to discuss funding LexCorp's Super Soldier program. He's unclear if Superman is the threat or Lex is. He finds Superman and questions him which soon turns into a fist-fight and almost gets him killed. They both eventually realise they are on the same side and go after the real threat Lex Luthor and his Super Soldier, Metallo.
Jonathan Pryce - Alfred Pennyworth
Alfred Pennyworth: Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's loyal father figure and butler. Alfred raised Bruce (and later Dick Grayson) after the death of the Wayne's.
Jonathan Pryce: Pryce may be most recognisable to you as Governer Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean films and also as the President in the G.I Joe films, the latter of which have so far been disappointing. In my opinion, Pryce could give us a very classic take on Alfred similar to one seen in Batman: The Animated Series.
Alfred, during Bruce's absence, takes care of Dick and supports him as he begins to realise he wants to become his own man and stop living in Bruce's and Batman's shadow.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson - Dick Grayson / Nightwing
Dick Grayson: Raised in Haly’s Circus as a skilled trapeze artist, Dick Grayson studied under Batman for years as the first Robin until maturing into the hero called Nightwing.
Aaron Taylor Johnson: Johnson was hard to cast because he currently plays a vigilante in Kick-Ass which is similar to the role of Dick Grayson but still very different which is why he would be a great fit. He's already shown us he can pull off the type of role but Dick Grayson is much more tragic character and would to me, be a more challenging role for him.
During Bruce's visit to Metropolis Dick is left to take care of Gotham City and soon realises he doesn't want to be living in Bruce's and Batman's shadow anymore. He leaves his Robin persona behind and becomes known as Nightwing.
Mark Strong - Lex Luthor
Lex Luthor: Lex Luthor is one of the most gifted beings alive, whose hatred of "interfering aliens" pushes him down the path of a sociopath. Known for his "ends justifies the means" approach to life, his single-minded and often brutal focus puts him at odds with Superman.
Mark Strong Strong has shown time and time again that he is great at playing bad guys and who badder then Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor?. He's no stranger to comic book movies starring in Kick-Ass as the bad guy, and also being the stand out in the very disappointing Green Lantern.
Lex Luthor is hell-bent on destroying Superman and almost tricks Bruce Wayne into helping him along the way. He creates a super soldier designed specifically to destroy Superman.
Logan Marshall - John Corben / Metallo
John Corben: Metallo is an invulnerable cyborg with superhuman strength who uses his Kryptonite power source against Superman. One of Superman' most dangerous enemies.
Logan Marshall-Green: Marshall-Green's performance in Prometheus was great but too shorted lived, quite a few years back he also appeared on The O.C which he's hardly recognisable in. In my opinion, Marshall-Green looks uncannily perfect for the part of Metallo. Just have him bulk up a little for the role and I'm certain he would absolutely own it.
John Corben is a crippled soldier who blames Superman for his condition after being caught in the crossfire of his fight with Zod. He agrees to undergo experimentation by LexCorp who turn him into the ultimate killing machine.
