It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters July 20th. The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Colltiard.

This is how Darth Vader's "noooo" should have been delivered. Couldn't be more excited for this film.
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/5/2012, 8:57 AM
Cool, a little more Morgan Freeman. Chicks dig Morgan Freeman.
DragonofDarknessXIII - 7/5/2012, 9:02 AM
That shot with Batman standing on that tower.....Is that going to be the last shot we'll see in the film?
RidiculousFanBoyDemands - 7/5/2012, 9:03 AM
@DragonofDarkness

My friend had an interesting theory and I think I agree with him. I totally think that is the last shot of the film, and that is a statue.
Nubase - 7/5/2012, 9:04 AM
its seems like freemans character fox gets some cool lines in the movie and with him knowing wayne is batman will be intersting to see.
RorMachine - 7/5/2012, 9:05 AM
This movie is going to be incredible..and that's an understatement.
ATOMbomb - 7/5/2012, 9:07 AM

Sabconth - 7/5/2012, 9:08 AM

Alfred's line and his delivery were superb, so pumped.

Looks like Lucious will be aiding Batman during the climax again, can't wait.

YOUNGBL00D - 7/5/2012, 9:19 AM
Looks like he's yelling in the prison, maybe he's yelling because of that old man
googleplex - 7/5/2012, 9:25 AM
did anyone else catch gordon with the assault rifle? oldman's getting his rambo on in this movie.
AsianVersionOfET - 7/5/2012, 9:26 AM
@IM53, great comment, bro.
DragonofDarknessXIII - 7/5/2012, 9:34 AM
@RFBD I agree, IGN said something similar in their breakdown of the third trailer. If Batman doesn't die, it could be the final shot. I juts hope it puts the lump in your throat I think David Goyer said.
Sabconth - 7/5/2012, 9:35 AM
@jaewest215

It's a trailer, not the movie itself.

And there are 2 new scenes; Lucious saying "Nothing like a bit of air superiority" & Alfred's "You're serioulsy thinking about going back out there!?"

and a new piece of dialogue with Bruce's scream.

Unlike 'other' comic book movies this year, I'm actually pleased they're not giving everything away in the trailers.

RaleighAntrobus - 7/5/2012, 9:44 AM
We should be getting reviews next week... ?
AsianVersionOfET - 7/5/2012, 9:45 AM

@Azazel1

Oh I know, we haven't even gotten a good look at the Batcave yet, I ain't worried one bit.

But this would be the time to go dark I think, you just know people are going to try and spoilt this for the rest of us.

Superheromovies2000 - 7/5/2012, 9:57 AM
Nope not gonna watch this trailer!! I've seen enough and I want to wait 2 more weeks for this Epic story!!!
Sabconth - 7/5/2012, 10:00 AM
@Azazel1

Some are saying it's Nolans version of the Lazarus Pit, where it's actually a prison that Bruce has to escape from.

I'm not entirely sure however, and I'd prefer to keep it that way.
themann11 - 7/5/2012, 10:05 AM
Been waiting for 2 years...can't believe it's almost here...counting the days.
GLprime2814 - 7/5/2012, 10:07 AM
Seriously? all 3 IMAX in my are wer sold out last week when I tried to get tix, guess Ill settle for regular theather for first viewing of many.
Godzillafart - 7/5/2012, 10:23 AM
Probably check it out. Nolan makes good films, but I never could get over the shitty casting of Bale.

All those wondering about reviews!
First OFFICIAL Screening is going to be held on 15th.

& I think TDKR should be taken as a marketing ICON for future!
Particularly for SONY's SPIDERMAN- who showed EVERYTHING in the film & on top of that they showed final scenes of every major fight sequence!
& then it was a same origin story we already new!

So already we knew the Story; & then SONY tried their level best to show us all fight scenes & there CLIMAX shots!! Ur a FVCKING STUPID STUDIO - SONY.
Give ur directors some power!!
I hope Marvel does that too! Mainly cuz their are choosing well that's why no one is complaining! But if IRON MAN-2's disappointment (not to me; cuz I loved it) was someone's fault; that was MARVEL!!

Hopefully in next two weeks same old footage is shown of TDKR & few line of new dialogue, but nothing big! I want to be SURPRISED while watching a SuperHero Film!
Avenegers has same problem; and TASM took it to new levels!
Hopefully NOLAN carrys on this marketing!
Sabconth - 7/5/2012, 11:02 AM
@FilmsFans

All true.

What worse is that one of the behind the scenes clips of TAMS showed *SPOILER* Rhys Ifans pulling Garfield up to a ledge, I could tell it was the same scene atop the radio tower at the end of the film. So now I knew Lizard reformed, lived and that he helped spiderman, what a dumb ass marketing mistake.*SPOILER*
nowtheresaBATman - 7/5/2012, 11:04 AM
@FilmsFan It is indeed great marketing & I agree w/ you about Sony & it's premature orTASM.
RedHeadBruno - 7/5/2012, 11:08 AM
I was sent by the military down to Puerto Rico for the next 6 months... they don't release the movie in theaters here until the 25th. Going to suck having to boycot the internet for 5 days...
Scabsallover - 7/5/2012, 11:09 AM

Ya IMAX here is all sold out. Good thing I already got 10 tickets.
Mendenhall12 - 7/5/2012, 12:30 PM
Simply Amazing
AtomicChipmunk - 7/5/2012, 12:37 PM
I saw Spider-Man today.
Andrew really nailed the character.

I loved it.

TDKR will probably beat Spider-Man box office wise, but I think I will prefer TASM.
GingerBird - 7/5/2012, 12:50 PM
If you didn't see ANY of the Spiderman trailers or TV spots, then you might enjoy it. But if you've already seen any of the trailers then you've pretty much already seen the movie.
GingerBird - 7/5/2012, 1:02 PM
There is no "Lazarus pit" in this film:

1. Because that's be stupid
2. The production noted ready say that the set pics of the Lazarus pit lookalike with all the green screen in the middle is just the top/exterior of the underground jail. (the big hole Bruce keeps trying to climb out of)
MrReese - 7/5/2012, 1:03 PM
(Gasps) why didn't u just kill me?

"Ur punishment must me more severe"

"I don't understand?"

"When Gotham is ashes u have my permission 2 die"

Real Story Telling Arrives in 14 days!!!!! XD
Bigred20 - 7/5/2012, 1:29 PM
I just listened to the trailer
I don't wanna see anything else
worldbreaker - 7/5/2012, 2:02 PM
this reminds me of how previews used to be before they were just highlight scenes of the movie. too many movies are ruined by previews now
MovieMann - 7/5/2012, 3:02 PM
