I real man admits when he is wrong. I admit that I really don't know too much about young action stars. I know less about the teen heartthrobs who morph into wolves or vampires so my pick for a giant blue alien to play Bruce Wayne was either a hit or miss. I missed.

The people have spoken and they think Worhington is a horrible actor and horrible casting choice for my proposed post-Nolan, six film franchise reboot. Somone who commented on my cast suggested Michael Fassbender. other sites have listed established film actors as Chris Pine and Ryan Gossling, not so established film thespians like Chase Crawford and Liam McIntyre.

So before I drop part 2 of my plot for Batman Origins I need your help in recasting Worthington. Because the movie focuses a lot on young Bruce becoming Batman and Batman taking on his first major villain around the age of 25, please have all your suggestions be an actor in their 20's. I am also looking for a tall brutish build comparable to how the Caped Crusader looks in the comics or especially the Arkham video games.

Hey man, I like the idea of McIntyre as Batman. I think you should also take a look at Dustin Clare, who's also from Spartacus. Also check out Johnny Messner...

Oh, and Chace Crawford is a definite no. He's a great actor, but he's not really Batman material...

Thanks Vafrous.

thanks for tossing my McIntyre as Bats choice in there, Liam all the way!

I like Sam W. and think he is a good actor unlike most people here but he's too short to play Batman.

As for a recast suggestion, how about Armie Hammer?
Vafrous - 7/2/2012, 10:12 AM
I personally think that Sam is a great actor. I've seen most of his pre-Avatar/Terminator Salvation movies, and he's quite decent. His inability to adopt accents is most definitely his weakness...

I think Sam Witwer would be great as a younger Batman.

Liam Hemsworth is 22. tall, built and ready to breakout as a star. If the ball gets rolling, than in 3 or 4 years hes your Batman.

Lewis@
I chose Witwer as Bats bout a year ago during my Long Halloween fancast. good choice

A.Hammer over L.Hemsworth anyday.

Ryan Gosling is my favorite. He's 6'1''. In comparison Bale is 6'.

Matt Bomer is my 2nd choice. He is 5'11 1/2" -no big deal there, & I think he'd be awesome as Wayne/Batman.

Ok, Armie as Bats, Liam as Supes then, morea farm boy look to him and Taylor Cole as Wonder Woman theres your JLA in 3 years

Luke Evans. i think he's ideal judging from his performance in Three Musketeers. the movie was shit, but he was the best part acting wise.

Luke Evans.

i don't think height of the actor is a big deal. Keaton was not even as tall as Bomer and he is the best Batman.

height isn't the issue, it is presence. i don't think Liam Hemsworth is right for the part, he is too young looking. Crawford is a decent actor, but is a bit too pretty for the part. i think a really good choice for Batman would be Josh Holloway. only problem is, by the time the reboot happened he would be too old.

0rdleg0las@ im saying in 3 years and he as Supes with Hammer as Bats, is a good combo. how can u say Josh would be too old by the time it rebooted but not see that Hemsworth would age too. u get what im saying.

I dont think hes ready now, hes too young and not fleshed out as an actor but maybe in 3 years hell be there

The height of an actor is only important if you
are going to surround him with people taller than
him. They surrounded MICHAEL KEATON with actors
who weren't taller than him thus preserving the
illusion of him being tall.

BATMAN is listed at DC as 6'2". BALE is 6'.
But they surrounded BALE with people that weren't
bigger than him! Making movies is an illusion!
But the illusion needs to be correct.

I prefer an actor at least 6' for BATMAN and a
SUPERMAN who's around 6'3"-6'4", that's how he's
listed at DC.

SUPERMAN and BATMAN should be tall as they are
in the comics, at least that's the way I see it!

WORTHINGTON'S REAL problem is he can't entirely
hide his AUZZIE accent. He hasn't done it yet as
far as I've seen. BATMAN is completely and
entirely AMERICAN. The actor who plays him has to
be flawless as an AMERICAN! The AMERICAN'S
can REALLY tell!
Just like BRITS can tell when an AMERICAN actor is
doing a terrible BRITISH ACCENT.

BALE does an absolutely FLAWLESS AMERICAN ACCENT!
He is TOTALLY believable as BRUCE WAYNE/BATMAN!

But WORTHINGTON is actually MUCH too short to play
BATMAN, much too small-looking! I would never
buy it! A small guy with an unmistakable AUZZIE
accent is just not going to fly as BATMAN!
I, myself, will never buy WORTHINGTON as BATMAN!
