Okey Dokey loyal readers...I have good news, and bad news.

So, I'm going to give it to you in the
form of "Good idea, Bad idea."

Good idea:

There will be three different versions of Assassin's Creed 3 that will be available for pre-order. Here they are:

Freedom Edition

The Freedom Edition comes equipped with:
-The game (derp)
-24cm figurine of Connor (the new Assassin)
-A steelbook case with exclusive art by Alex Ross (a pretty sweet bonus for nerds)
-George Washington's secret notebook
-One exclusive lithograph
-2 single-player missions that will unlock Captain Kidd's Cutlass, and The Pontiac's War Club
-1 Multiplayer package with several unlockables

Join or Die Edition

The Join or Die Edition comes with
-The game (derp again)
-The medallion of the Assassins, emblazoned with Benjamin Franklin’s political cartoon “Join or Die”
-George Washington's Notebook
-Pontiac's Warclub mission
-The multiplayer package

Bad idea:

The Freedom Edition and the Join or Die Edition are only confirmed for sale in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. If you live in the Americas, and you pre-order, you will be given the "Special Edition", or the "Signature Edition" as it's called.

The Signature Edition

Comes with:
-The game
-Steelbook case
-A single-player mission to unlock the Flintlock Musket (note that it is not included in the other editions)

I can confirm to you that the Signature Edition and this "Special Edition" are the same thing. I have a friend at Gamestop, the manger of the store, who told me that will come with some other goodies, but they are unsure as to what they are. I will have you know as well that the last time I thought I was getting screwed over by Collector's Edition marketing, I was able to buy the extra content AT Gamestop without having to buy the Collector's Edition for extra cash. So...this may not be the "be all end all" of the situation.

Assassin's Creed 3 comes out on October 30th.

By the way, if you've never heard of "Good idea, Bad idea", here's a good example.

Uuuh... So the musket doesnt belong in Connor´s weaponry if you just buy the regular game and not special edition?
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/28/2012, 1:14 PM
THAT SUCKS... If true

@AlexDeLarge87 - Yea, I kinda had the same feeling. I mean...all the Redcoats have muskets...
What I'm thinking is, you WILL get one in the game. But the FLINTLOCK Musket is of a specialty design. If I know my guns, a Flintlock musket has no choke. Basically, I think it's an early automatic weapon.

Definitely getting the Freedom addition.

Fartman@ Thats what i was thinking too there gotta be at least one in the game itself cause why else would they put one in Connor´s hand in those posters.
Doesnt really make sense.

Too bad those special missions doesnt come in the same package. I would love to get Kidd´s Cutlass, Flintflock and Pontiac´s Warclub.

They better have all the dlc content in the Signature Edition for America or I'm gonna flip shit lol. More so the multiplayer character above the others of importance.
