I drew these a few years ago back when I wanted to do every aspect of comic books, as opposed to write them as I do now. So, basically what you'll be viewing here is the road not taken and I hope you guys like these drawings, I've selected the best ones, some of them are terrible. Bear in mind, I copied these off an image that was in front of me.

Black Panther. The image just looked easy to draw, so I whipped out the ol' pencil, colouring pencils and a sheet of A3 paper and to town on it. This next one, I like.

This sketch was basically me trying to do toning and inking correctly. Plus, Iron Man wasn't a major character at the time I drew this, which was in 2006, so the people I showed this to were like, "Yeah, that's pretty good man!" Bet they wouldn't be saying that now!

Again from Classic Marvel Superheroes, I drew this purely because I love Wolverine. This is the best of four different copies I've drawn, the rest are very scrawly and the inking is terrible.

Drew this one out of my Marvel Annual 2006. My first real attempt at inking. It reminded me that I'd drawn a sick Carnage once and for some reason I went and gave it to my friend's little brother, who proceeded to tear it up after deciding he found Carnage scary. The moral of that story: Never give your best drawings to children.

I think I drew this from the figurine magazine but I'm not entirely sure. This next Spidey one is from the first few pages of Classic Marvel Superheroes by Peter Snaderson.

He looks as though he's holding onto a curtain, doesn't he? Anyway, this is the most recent one, and my personal favourite, Ghost Rider!

I love this one, purely because a friend of mine who does graphic design and costume/prop making said it was pretty sweet. I was young and that shit meant a lot to me.

So, whatta you guys think? Be sure to let me know in the comments section!

Haha, dude, these are way better than anything I ever scribbled. My favourites are probably Iron Man and Wolverine just 'cause you did the claws better than I ever could.

I've mentioned it a few times in the past, but, when I was a kid I wanted to draw for comics. I used to do the same thing- I'd take whatever comics I had, covers, anything, really.. and I would try to replicate what I saw. My favourite thing to draw was X-Men. I mean, that's what got me into comics in the first place as a child, so I was always tryin' to draw Wolverine, or Gambit, or Magneto.. I've always felt a connection to X-Men more than anything. But, yeah.. I could never get Wolverine's claws right. They always seemed all rubbery an' shit, I was never very good at giving them that "cut-u-da-f*ck-up" look. Then, there were the times where I'd use my action figures for reference, which was always, ah.. somewhat.. awkward. I only later realised that when you place a figure of Rogue and Wolverine on top of each other with their heads stuffed in each other's crotches that it's less "battle scene" and more "sixty-nine whilst flying".

Damned childhood naivete.
