New Smallville Promo Shows JSA

Check out the new Smallville promo showing JSA members, plus the new Smallville schedule!
This new promo includes some previously-unrevealed Justice Society members who will be appearing.



Also...

The Smallville schedule has been changed around yet again.

Smallville's return episode, "Disciple," is tentatively scheduled to air on January 22. A week later, the episode "Warrior" (featuring Zatanna!) has been bumped up to 11th in the line-up.

Here's the current schedule for new episodes in 2010, which again is subject to change.

1/22 "Disciple" (#9.10)
1/29 "Warrior" (#9.11)
2/5 Two Episodes: "Society" (#9.12) & "Legends" (#9.13) making "Absolute Justice"
2/12 #9.14 "Hubris"
2/19 #9.15 "Conspiracy"

Certainly looks pretty damn good. Doctor Fate looks the best IMO.

Things are looking up for this episode, or these episodes :)

Hopefully Alan Scott does make a cameo, that would be great. Bruce Greenwood anyone? I know he probably won't play him, but it's doesn't hurt to dream :)

LEEE, You and I have talked about this for the past couple of months now. ive said this before and ill say it again, there is no way they are putting all of there eggs into this basket to not have a JLA/JSA spin off series.

Also, I didnt catch it live when I saw the promo at the end of tonights episode but the Green Lantern ring!! I thoght i had an orgams when I saw the promo but I had a double OO when I saw this link and saw the green lantern ring.

I will tell u what guys, when battlestar galactica went off on fridays i thought my friday nights were shot to hell. Thank god for smallville becuase this is BY FAR there best season ever.

Great job to tom welling and everone over at CW for hearing us and doing right by the fans of comic books and the characters we love and grew up on. Things are finally starting to look up.

Wow I can't wait for the JSA/ Smallville Movie. I Kinda considering this a JSA movie for then a Smallville movie. I think WB is going to keep a real close eye on this mini movie because if the ratings go real, real well, Their well be a JSA movie on the big screen before 2016.

As far as the group shot of the JSA/JLA members, how the heck can anyone decipher whos in the shot? its blurry and you can barely see anyone in it.

They must have used that artwork from somewhere. do searchs on JSA or JLA and who knows, someone out there might get lucky

Wow I am probably one of the few people on this site who have stuck with smallville from day one and this is exciting to see not only because we are gonna see the jsa come to life and its writen by geoff freakin johns! But it will probably bring a ton of fans back to the show! The only thing that could make this better to me is to have wild cat be involved as well

@Joshw. This Weeks SUpernatural was truely epic! I can't believe they killde of JO and Ellen! I can't wait ti see what thye make death look like.

This is probably my second favorite season of Supernatural. I think my favorite would have to be season 2. I am erwatching the seasons and am on2 right now again. I just ssaw the one with the Priest's ghost and teh one when that guy Ron holds up the bank to find the shapeshifter. The endiong to both of those were just EPIC,I mean vbery well done, it actualy gave me chills, no show but Supernatural has given em chills while watching a rerun! Supernatural is far more consistant than Smallville is as far as quality.

Season 5 is going to be awesome! I love the second episode of this season 'Good God yall' when tehy went up against the horseman War.I love that scene when tehy are walking down the deserted street while 'Spirit in the SKy' is playing, briliant!

I hate to ruin the fun but didnt they say that we would see variouse artifacts that the Society used. Maybe Clark or someone just sees the ring and puts it on.

@HAWK and JOSHW-Supernatural was AMAZING. I couldnt believe that they killed Jo and Ellen. I was happy the bullet didnt kill Lucifer. Now we can have a more epic ending. I thought this season sounded like a stupid idea, killing the devil sounded retarded, but they really made it cool.This season has been the best of Supernatural and Smallville.

SMallville is the best interpretation of Superman we ave! even though it is the only we have at the moment lol.

@Hawk-Yeah the effects lately have been kind of shoty. Especialy when they sprayed the blood over Metropolis and when the Wonder Twin turned into mist and covered the city. It looked sooooo fake.

Sucks about your computer. The same happened to mine it sucks. I lost my Juctice League, SuperMax, Batman, and Captain Atom stories. Oh and a lot of my papers from school. But that doesnt matter.

@Peterparker420-Dude this is the best season ever, when i saw the promo i think i had a fangasm lol.

Season 10 would be awesome. My only question is how would they do it? They've used all some of Superman's greatest enemies. (Lex, Doomsday, Zod, Metallo). They did Justice League and Society.

The only next step is to become Superman. Or do Darkside, but no one wants that to happen

One thing I gotta hand it to them on is usually when they show the promo at the end of each episode is a promo for next weeks episode. In this case its NOT next weeks episode.

Kudos to them for NOT showing next weeks ep. This means all they are doing is building up more and more hype for the JLA/JSA ep. I’ve seen their ratings in USA Today lately and they’ve been pulling near a 3.0. my gut feeling is if they promote this right they SHOULD get near a 4 or higher thanks to word of mouth.

If they do that it will practically guarantee a season 10 and a JLA/JSA spin off.

im very excited. And, since I know that the producers check the blogs for fan excitement and such im going out on a limb and say they come to this site from time to time so, on behalf of everyone in here.

GREAT JOB GUYS.

Now, FIND A WAY TO GET WONDER WOMAN AND BATMAN INTO THE MIX!! No excuses guys. Just do it!!

THEHAWK: Yeah, that scene with the music playing was really well directed! In fact, this whole season has been exceptional so far. 'The End' has probably been my favourite episode but the past two funnier eps have also been brilliant!

BatmanKnight: Yeah, luckily they've handled this Lucifer thing brilliantly! Now they've discovered the colt is pretty much useless I cant imagine where things will go from here! (though I have a feeling we'll be seeing the trickster again)

So, just got done watching Pandora online, and it was definitely great, my fav. of the season so far.

However, 2 things stuck out to me as plot-holes, if I missed any explanations for either one, I apologize, but:

1. How do the Kandorians have powers under the red sun, and Clark doesn't?

2. How did the assassin from the first episode go super-speed to the ring at the end, even though the sun is now yellow, and that was supposed to zap the Kandorians of their powers?

josh- every season there is a "mid-season" break around this time ( I know it sucks) but it always happens in the U.S. I can see how the different air times gets annoying!

now let me address the holes in the plot line:
here is how they explained it.

cloe- "the tower is the key to the kandoriens power,they
collect all the suns radiation and turn it red,
and then beam it back up to the luthor corp
satalite."
oliver- "Those satalites take the radiation and beam it
back down to earth, giving those aliens S.O.B's
all their strengh. now we take the tower down
we shut them down."

peterparker: That still doesn't help. If they turn the radiation red, they still shouldn't have powers. And that does not explain why Clark doesn't have powers if they all do.

Regarding the super-speed thing, if it was in slow motion, she would have been moving just as fast as Clark and Lois were, actually, Clark and Lois weren't moving at all. She was moving at normal speed, and, if it was in slow motion, that means she's going actually much faster than normal speed.

do not. they should all have power

Not bad.

I'm looking forward to the JSA; but it's dissapointing that Smallville had to wait this long to improve. This should've been the 3rd or 4th season and not the 9th.

Jor-El fused the chrystal that the kandorians came out in with blue kryptonite. So that somehow made sure that they would not have the abilities under the yellow sun. The Red Sun zaps clarks powers but gives them theirs (Its kinda like the whole bizzaro clark that they did and how kryptonite gave him strength.)The red sun of krypton keeps any real kryptonians powerless. Where as the kandorians are clones.

my guess is that the towers harness the power of the yellow sun and thy kandorians use it to charge their powers which is why they needed it, because remember they did not have super powers on krypton

1- JADAMS kinda already answered it, but yes, Jor'El infused the Crystal with Blue Kryponite causing them to gain abilities under the Red Sun and not be re-active to the Yellow Sun.

2- I don't think it's as "On & Off" as your picturing it. In the PANDORA ep, Clark said he tried to fight them but wasn't strong enough. It's been said before (and we all know this) that Clark is in essence a "battery" that charges under the yellow sun. So i'm assuming the Kandorians are as well. I believe the "blue eyed chick" still had her abilities because she had been under the Red Sun for some time. Just as I think Clark had some of abilities when Zod came into his powers, he just became weaker the more they fought.

Hope that makes some semblance of sense. ;-)

Does anyone have any thoughts as to who the villain will be in the Absolute Justice movie? In Michael Shanks' interview with TVGuide Magazine, this is what he said:

Who are you all battling?
All I’ll say is he has a history with the Justice Society, but I’d never heard of him before.”

But what i believe was said was that the tower took the small amount of "Red Radiation" the yellow sun normally gives off, amplifies it, then beams it out to the Luther satellites creating a field of "Red Radiation" around the planet mimicing the effect of a Red Sun. The sun itself wasn't changed.

Man i feel like a dork. lol.
