First image of 'Stella' in 30 Days of Night Sequel

First production still from the comic horror sequel.
Here is your first look at actress Kiele Sanchez as the heroine Stella Olesonthe in 30 Days of Night: Dark Days.





Kiele replaces actress Melissa George, who portrayed the character in the first film.





Based off the graphic novel of the same name, the film is directed by Ben Ketai and is currently being filmed in Vancouver. Also cast for the film are Mia Kirshner, Diora Baird, Rhys Coiro, Harold Perrineau, Troy Ruptash, Jackson Berlin, John De Santis, Marco Sorian and Katherine Isabelle.

The first one sucked. So recasting this movie is pointless. I had high hopes for the first one.

Hmm...i don't like that they replaced Melissa George. I love her.:( The second (based on the pic) feels like they are gonna invest in a lot of shock effects.

God I hate recasting. It really does annoy me, and take away my enjoyment of films. This'll be direct to dvd, i'm sure. And the first one was so cool too.

This recasting doesn't bother me, she didn't make any sort of impact on the film that would make her absence a big change to the film. Granted she is hot, but hopefully Kiele pulls it off, I enjoyed the first movie a lot, never read the graphic novel, but the movie itself was bad ass.

they prob had scheduling conflicts and that's why they recast, but I also hate recasts they ruin the film for me esp when it's a main character.
