Johnny Pacar Auditions for the Role of Captain America

Another relative unknown lets his Twitter fans in on his Star Spangled Avenger dreams.

Less than an hour ago, Johnny Pacar updated his Twitter account with the following message:

"Just read for Captain America. what a role to get. if only."

This would make Johnny, a Detroit native born in 1981, the second actor who's come out of the woodwork to let the masses know Cap auditions are currently taking place. With no word from Marvel Studios regarding definitive casting, we could safely assume that we're still weeks away from hearing of anyone being officially linked to the role.

I think it's also pretty discernible that the studio is looking for an actor that has less 'leading man' Hollywood experience than most fans have suggested.

Here is Johnny Pacar's filmography from IMDB:

Fort McCoy (2010) (post-production) .... Texas Slim
Make It or Break It" .... Damon Young (8 episodes, 2009-2010)
Love Hurts (2009/I) .... Justin Bingham
Cryptic (2009) .... Damon
Ghost Whisperer .... Miles Maitland (1 episode, 2009)
The Dead Undead (2009) .... Travis

- Front of the Class (2008) TV episode .... Jeff
Wild Child (2008) .... Roddy
Eli Stone .... Eli Age 19 (1 episode, 2008)
Flight 29 Down .... Jackson (27 episodes, 2005-2007)
Crossing Jordan .... Ben Kensith (2 episodes, 2007)
CSI: Miami .... Nathan Atherton (1 episode, 2007)
Flight 29 Down: The Hotel Tango (2007) (TV) .... Jackson
Cold Case .... Dayton '95 (1 episode, 2006)
Detroit (2006) .... Spike
Medium .... Intoxicated Boy (1 episode, 2005)
Now You See It... (2005) (TV) .... Danny Sinclair

Tru Calling .... Adam Whitman (1 episode, 2003)
The Brothers Garcia" .... Rush Bauer (1 episode, 2003)
Boston Public .... Boone (3 episodes, 2002-2003)
Judging Amy" .... Jason Christopher (1 episode, 2002)

MPP - I've never heard of this guy. I guess at least we have two guys to consider for the role now. So. . . umm, yeah.

Maybe the "before" serum Steve Rogers? Or...a Bucky role? Yea...gotta be Bucky! lol
kitboy33 - 1/18/2010, 6:15 PM
what are they auditioning kid versions?!
harvey5388 - 1/18/2010, 6:15 PM
hmmm i havent heard anything about the whole Captain America Movie progress for a while

HOWLER16 - 1/18/2010, 6:18 PM
Lol, bit young but perfect BUCKY!!

Well he looks a good BUCKY anyway!
LEEE777 - 1/18/2010, 6:18 PM
yeah this guy is totally BUCKY no way he can be Cap
MercWitaMouth88 - 1/18/2010, 6:18 PM
Egads, not Cap. Way too "boyish" looking.
Ranger14 - 1/18/2010, 6:20 PM
I wouldn't mind if this movie didn't have Bucky in it. The only reason to have Bucky would his awesome on screen "demise". I think it's messed up that he was resurrected along with Jason Todd. They were supposed to be the two untouchable dead characters.
Tobuttica - 1/18/2010, 6:21 PM
peter parker???
Comickid65 - 1/18/2010, 6:21 PM
HAS GOT TO BE A BEFORE THE SERUM STEVE.... let me clarify that as a comic book fan......HAD BETTER BE FOR A BEFORE THE SERUM STEVE.
Joey Misfit - 1/18/2010, 6:22 PM
I hope MARVEL ain't thinking what SONY are thinking for CAP??

Nah, they cant be, he'd have to be up there with THE AVENGERS, hey maybe MARVEL is looking for a few different STEVE ROGERS, anyone thought of that, like WB with the original SUPERMAN movie??!

A few different ages STEVE ROGERS??
LEEE777 - 1/18/2010, 6:25 PM
That's a no
BillyBlack - 1/18/2010, 6:29 PM
Wut BB said.
SirPrize - 1/18/2010, 6:32 PM
he has weird looking lips
Diamond1995 - 1/18/2010, 6:35 PM
Looks gay
Fartman - 1/18/2010, 6:36 PM
..ahahaha.. he looks like an ugly 16 year old boy. c'mon. why would he waste his time. ahahaha.. captain america (to me) is a tall good looking blue eyed blonde haired all-american 'man', and nothing like that. i seen better looking cap contenders yesterday when i went into abercrombie & fitch.
InFamouslyCool - 1/18/2010, 6:36 PM
He looks like a Hobbit. Maybe I'm nuts, but does anyone else remember an article from the producers of CAp America saying that they had a couple of names, and that they are very well known, but not necessarily someone we would expect?
RorMachine - 1/18/2010, 6:38 PM
I'm certain his audition wasn't for the role of Cap. He definitely looks like Bucky. I wouldn't want him to land the role of pre-serum Steve Rogers. To me his look is totally wrong. I do hope that they do go the route of a more unknown though. I don't want a Damon, Pitt, or Dicaprio as Cap.
TheDrizzle - 1/18/2010, 6:38 PM
Well, I've never seen him act but I have to say a big NO! He looks far too young to be Cap (and yes before anyone says it, I know the WWII Cap is young!) and he almost looks a litte effeminate, lol! Jeez, Marvel's casting decisions have been great so far with Iron Man and Thor - lets hope they dont [frick] things up with Captain America..!
JoshW - 1/18/2010, 6:38 PM
How about a young Red Skull!
DarthLaney - 1/18/2010, 6:41 PM
That other dude was better.. Thanks for the news though, I only follow Glee cast members on Twitter (and Stan Lee). How I ashamed do I feel right now haha. =P
Imran - 1/18/2010, 6:42 PM
@Ror- I was thinking the same thing. This is just odd.
ecksmanfan - 1/18/2010, 6:44 PM
Well, at least we know the ball is rolling on Cap casting. In case you missed it, Rick Malambri was the first actor to say he auditioned for the part:

@Imran: I've had a Twitter account for a few months, but I've only really starting using it recently. You can join my thread if you'd like to know what brand of cereal I eat every morning: Poni_Boy
MultiPurposePoni - 1/18/2010, 6:44 PM
DarthLaney @ How about not lol, come on dude he screams BUCKY!!
LEEE777 - 1/18/2010, 6:45 PM
I can see him as Bucky...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Hell, maybe when he said, "Just read for Captain America." - he just meant for the movie rather than the character!? Sigh...wishful thinking, lol! ;)

I've pretty much accepted that Jensen Ackles will never be cast as Captain America (now that there's going to be a sixth season of Supernatural) but even Ackles haters must see that he would be better than this guy! (that means you LEE, lol!)
JoshW - 1/18/2010, 6:49 PM
Nah. I haven't seen him act, but he looks really wrong for the part.

Though I have to admit, I like it that Marvel is going for relative unknowns for this part.
InTylerWeTrust - 1/18/2010, 7:00 PM
@ Josh24 I have to agree with you. This guy truly can't think he could get the title role. He would make a much better Bucky.
DCMarvelFreshman - 1/18/2010, 7:01 PM
@Ror, Just noticed there that you posted a review of the road! Haven't noticed it til now cos of a certain someone pushing it down and down and down the page! Great review! Loved it myself. Good film from a great book!

@LEEE, I'll get round to reading your review of Human Target sometime at the weekend after I get a chance to watch the episode! Got exams this week so too busy!
TheAnswer - 1/18/2010, 7:02 PM
good grief another douche in a CBM lolz. wouldn't even be a good bucky. i'm hoping bucky is a soldier, not necessarily some rambo type, but at least a guy who looks like he might sign up for the military and know which way to point a gun.
foxfan - 1/18/2010, 7:04 PM
Answer @ Cool man, and hey non spoilers! : P

Good luck dude!!

And @ JOSH @ Exactly, looks Bucky to a tea!
LEEE777 - 1/18/2010, 7:05 PM
TheAnswer good luck with your exams :)
lc - 1/18/2010, 7:06 PM
Hey Theanswer, thanks a mill. Yeah that review section is in need of a bit of a makeover methinks. Anyway, thanks for reading.
RorMachine - 1/18/2010, 7:07 PM
defo not capt, doesn't have the look and is to young

answer@ hows it going and im supposed to being seeing the road this week, looking forward to it from the reviews ive read :) good luck with your exams to!
ukboy28 - 1/18/2010, 7:07 PM
Has anyone even seen his acting to give us perspective on his talent? For either Cap or Bucky?

Jamie Bell for Bucky
InTylerWeTrust - 1/18/2010, 7:09 PM
oh god.. looks like a freaking Jonas Brother. Too young and too little. Definitely.

What the hell are they thinking?

Again I am wondering if they are even taking this seriously.
SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 7:09 PM
I think these dudes are just saying that they auditioned to boost their popularity percentage on imdb
gibbyblaylock - 1/18/2010, 7:09 PM
@LEE, Cheers, I'll read it now before I hit the hay! LOVE spoiler free reviews!

@lc, Thanks! :D

@Ror Nae Bother mate!

@UK, It's going good mate, Well good enough, you? Exam in 8 hours but thank god I can take in a cheat sheet! BOOYAH!!!
TheAnswer - 1/18/2010, 7:12 PM
oi ladies and gents.. perhaps he's reading for Rogers as a child or something. I hope.

SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 7:12 PM
@ Gibby: as if popularity rating on IMDB means anything lol
SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 7:14 PM
ROR: I rarely check under "Reviews" but I just went and checked out your review of The Road after TheAnswer mentioned it - great review man, I went to see it last week and it has to be one of the best movies I've seen in a while!

Oh, and as for the "Reviews" section, I still think that this site should have a "Comics" tab as I suggested months ago...

Should ComicBookMovie.com include comic book news?
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/joshw24/news/?a=11226
JoshW - 1/18/2010, 7:18 PM
@LEE, Good review mate! Defo first on the list when I'm not studying or very drunk! ;)
TheAnswer - 1/18/2010, 7:19 PM
answer@ im ok, bit tired, my dads not well so been looking after him and haha either way cheat sheet or not good luck tho, i personally hated exams, loved when finished tho lol
ukboy28 - 1/18/2010, 7:22 PM
darth@ lmao very true man and have you seen book of eli yet??
ukboy28 - 1/18/2010, 7:23 PM
Very drunks a good answer, cheers dude!! ; D

LEEE777 - 1/18/2010, 7:24 PM
im not sayin that this is the guy, but wasnt steve rogers an 18 year old when he took the super soldier serum? and he doesnt age because of it right? so a young guy playing cap wouldnt really bother me. plus i think it would be cool to have cap meet tony stark in "the avengers" as someone whose been alive since the 1930s but looks younger than stark.
Makiveli21 - 1/18/2010, 7:25 PM
@UK, Hope your dad gets better mate! I've been doing exams for far far too long! Been doing them for 5 years since I left school and still got 3 years left after this one! Anyways off to bed! up in 6 hours for some last minute cramming and LOADS of Coffee!!
TheAnswer - 1/18/2010, 7:28 PM
nah..I have been stuck with this massive writing project all weekend. No time. But it will happen sooner or later.

Have you seen it? Have you heard anything good about it? I glanced over Rotten Tomatoes... I don't think too many of those critics cared for it (not that I give a crap about that lol)
SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 7:28 PM
I'm pretty sure this guy won't be Cap. Look at him, I do not see any indications of Cap anywhere. Marvel is a smart studio and they will not risk committing such a mistake like this teen (Twilight) trend that has been, unfortunately, persisting. He fits Bucky well so my verdict is he is auditioning for Bucky.
DGr8Nova - 1/18/2010, 7:32 PM
answer@ thanks man, take care mate

darth@ yeah, i thought it was ok, nothing amazing, couple of good action scenes, denzel was good and it tried to be clever with tones of religion thrown in imo

lol i never buy in to that site to much either, personal opinion always shines true.
ukboy28 - 1/18/2010, 7:37 PM
aaaaaahhh Interesting.. maybe I will just rent it instead.

Well thanks much for giving me you opinion, sir!
SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 7:45 PM
darth@ your very much welcome sir, now all i need to do is watch the road, finding time for it is becoming a pain :0
ukboy28 - 1/18/2010, 7:50 PM
hey look its BUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Misterfan - 1/18/2010, 7:52 PM
NO DUDE.
GUNSMITH - 1/18/2010, 8:00 PM
I think its safe to say if you twitter about your audition you just had, odds are you didn't get a call back.
DogsOfWar - 1/18/2010, 8:09 PM
I hope they have bucky in this movie ,,if they do ,this guy could do it.
gunner - 1/18/2010, 8:12 PM
Ror: I remember the article you are refering to. I believe it was Fiege who said they had a very short list of well known actors for cap.

This dude is Bucky.
Hawksblueyes - 1/18/2010, 8:12 PM
I will hold back on judgement because I have no clue who this kid is. Clearly, Bucky is a sensitive issue, I'm not a huge fan of sidekicks, but he is an integral part of the original lore. However, I don't see the producers allowing him to be a true to form sidekick. If he's in there, he'll be James "Buck" Barnes, member of _____ Company.

We'll see...I we'll be waiting quite sometime before we hear any official cast announments
Layperson - 1/18/2010, 8:22 PM
Layperson: Fiege aslo said a while back that Bucky would be in the movie.
Hawksblueyes - 1/18/2010, 8:25 PM
@ MultiPurposePoni That casting pic of Malambri is awesome, that guy actually has the proper facial structure to be Cap. The strong jawline and I mean Cap is supposed to be the pinnacle of Human potential...he can't be a smaller regular lookin guy after the process...the first guy would be a good Steve Rogers pre-experiment...

@Joshw24...Definitely agree with the bucky casting...he makes way more sense as Bucky...maybe a Winter Soldier storyline down the road...

I just think that this movie has so much potential...Red Skull..Baron Zemo...Winter Soldier...AWESOMENESS...and it's all in Marvel's hands...

And a question for everyone...In The Incredible Hulk, Emil Blonsky is fighting Hulk in the field after he has taken the first stage of the serum and the way he fights Hulk is how Cap would fight potentially...very agile...quick reflexes...strong...Anyone else get an image of Cap in that scene?
continuezero - 1/18/2010, 8:34 PM
He doesn't look anything like Cap. It's cool to know that people are really trying to get this role. Hopefully it's attracting some very good candidates.
BIGBMH - 1/18/2010, 8:44 PM
ARE THEY FUKCING HIGH? I MEAN...FOR REAL? HIGH? I WILL MURDER PEOPLE! I WILL...I WILL...cry. [frick].
gtrman - 1/18/2010, 8:47 PM
I just can't believe that dude was born in 1981, he looks like he was born in 1991. I can see a younger cap, but not THAT young.
GarageNinja - 1/18/2010, 8:48 PM
he looks like a friggn emo man! cmon man! why dont you just give the part to mccauly culkin or something...hey i here wiley wiggins is available too. christ man im gonna be sick here!
gaikinger - 1/18/2010, 9:29 PM
There jokeing right?!?
Logan-X - 1/18/2010, 9:31 PM
There is no way that dude was born in '81. That's absolutely absurd and impossible. Also, NO. There's no way this kid will EVER get this role. For any reason. . .
JLanphear - 1/18/2010, 9:36 PM
Well looks like my theroys are correct, def going for the younger cap and an unknown. Cap was in his early twenties when he became cap america, so its fitting to cast someone in there mid twenties. And i bet they will cast an unknown and surround him with well known actors. Like the will smith being Isaiah Bradley rumours.
KidZombie - 1/18/2010, 9:39 PM
Oh and he auditioned for the role ha ha doesn't mean he got the part, so dont freak out yet people.
KidZombie - 1/18/2010, 9:41 PM
Uh...I do think the actor should be young seeing that Cap was in his early twenties and I hear people suggesting people like Mark Valley (who is 45 and looks it), but this kid, is too boy and looks NOTHING like Steve.

Please, someone with a decent jaw and chin! The heroic features are important!
gorgeousgeeks - 1/18/2010, 9:43 PM
guys, this is just one person that AUDITIONED. it doesn't mean marvel is even considering him. i'm sure a LOT of people are auditioning for this. i think we can all relax and agree that there is no way in hell this guy will be Cap, lol
CorndogBurglar - 1/18/2010, 9:46 PM
Some of you crack me up, just because you think the guy would be terrible for cap doesn't mean the audition could have only been for Bucky. Bucky may not even be in the movie. HE SAID HE TRIED OUT FOR CAPTAIN AMERICA. And sorry, but a skinny Steve Rogers is most likely going to look EXACTLY like a Serum Steve Rogers except for muscle mass. The guy is put through an experiment to become perfect human specimen, not get 20 years older and square jawed. It would kind of be ridiculous if they got an entirely new actor for post-experimentation.
Pym - 1/18/2010, 9:47 PM
lol Johnny Pecker
SixSixteen - 1/18/2010, 9:51 PM
I'm going to get me a twitter account so I can say that I'm reading for captain america too.
thwhtGuardian - 1/18/2010, 11:44 PM
I saw this guy act on WITHOUT A TRACE before it got
canceled. Very wooden kid actor! He played a teen
on that FBI missing persons show! He's got to be up
for the BUCKY part or the producers of Cap America
have started smoking bad crack!!!! lol

Geez, nobody wants a 90210 CAP AMERICA!!! Well, maybe
13-year-old girls do! Hey, that's it...CAPTAIN TWILIGHT!
They'll make tons of money!!! A vampire supersoldier
who sparkles as he guts Nazi swine!!! lol
DDD - 1/19/2010, 12:16 AM
Yes, the Super Soldier formula has prevented Cap from aging, but he still needs to look like the part of a charismatic authority figure. If they go too young looking, we wind up with the same problems Warner had with Brandon Routh as Superman.

Brandon Routh was about as charismatic and believable as an inspiring leader figure as the average kindergarten kid would be in the same role. I'm glad they're taking the approach of auditioning unknowns for this deal. I'd rather see them err on the side of caution and have Cap look closer to late 20s than early 20s if it gives us a Captain America who has the presence to be a leader of men (and gods).
TheDemonHunter - 1/19/2010, 12:47 AM
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :D
teabag - 1/19/2010, 4:20 AM
No.He is not Captain.
superheromoviefan - 1/19/2010, 4:25 AM
Oh Hell Naw!
Skyh00k - 1/19/2010, 4:47 AM
And just to clarify.... I like the idea of auditioning unknowns to find Cap. I do not like the idea of Pacar as Cap.

lol Figured I'd throw that out there before anyone sees my comment somehow as an endorsement of him being cast in the role. :)

TheDemonHunter - 1/19/2010, 5:09 AM
he looks way to young to be captain america. if they use a really young looking captain america then bucky will have to be way goofier and younger.i dont like were this is going if hes gonna be really young.
1chris2 - 1/19/2010, 5:21 AM
Chace Crawford for Spiderman
Miltoc - 1/19/2010, 5:38 AM
Include links to your sources, please.
rkeyes - 1/19/2010, 5:47 AM
I really don't care who "goes" to auditions!!! I WANNA KNOW WHO GETS THE [frick]ING ROLE ALREADY!!!
Shaman - 1/19/2010, 6:35 AM
Agree with you completely SHAMAN@!
Damm, crap or get off the pot, Cap
producers!!!! INQUIRING MINDS WANT
TO KNOW!!!!

Who cares who's twittin' what! Tell
us somethin' already you twits!!!
DDD - 1/19/2010, 6:44 AM
@ DDD and Shaman: Agreed. They have BEEN dragging ass on this thing.
There has been this lackadaizacle attitude about this movie all along like this it's some kind of bloody afterthought.
Judging by all these tweets about people trying out for the role, it seems possible that they haven't even picked the main guy yet. And they are interviewin THIS little kid for it? Does anyone else find this a little bit worrysome?
Some of us have been sweating this pick for years on end and they are JUST NOW having bloody readings? grrrr

.... I am starting to worry a bit. I really just don't think Johnston and his crew realize that they are plying with fire in this situation.
Does anyone else here remember the rage and the backlash and the vitriole that got aimed at Brett Ratner and Raimi after their movie FAILs? Oh sure it racked up some cheese for the studio, but it made Ratner into a VILLIAN in our eyes. Or that nitwit that did the FF movies? People spammed his Myspace page with death threats. There was a small yet forceful boycott of his work. No one will ever respect him or follow his work now.
But can you imagine how much worse it will be for THIS guy if he can't even get this easy CBM right?

Also wrap your brain around this: if this one is all messed up, how will that affect Avenegers?

SixSixteen - 1/19/2010, 7:51 AM
@Shaman: Nuff said lol

@Darth: No need to worry, bud. There are many reasons why Marvel would interview all kinds of actors for the role. Until they announce who landed it, why panic?

@rkeyes: Source links are used to guide readers toward sites where news is originally drafted and disseminated from. No need to add a source link to an article if the information comes from a generally released forum such as YouTube, Yahoo Videos or Twitter. Also, if the information is from an official press release you don't need to link your source.
MultiPurposePoni - 1/19/2010, 8:00 AM
EXACTLY DDD!!!

Multi- You KNOW it!!! :))

Darth- You do have a point. I really don't know if Johnston knows what this internet machine is but it is capable of alot of harm to one's public carreer if you stroke it the wrong way. He should really be giving us progress reports like Favreau is. That is the way to the future. I really don't know what Johnston will do with this franchise but i sure hope he's not taking it too "non-chalantly".
Shaman - 1/19/2010, 8:16 AM
@ Multi: I hear ya. I am not really panicing man.
Just concerned. To me this movie is HUGE. I feel like this is the one I have been waiting for my whole life. This is a big deal to me personally, so it's hard not to worry a bit.

SixSixteen - 1/19/2010, 8:17 AM
Uh, the dude looks like he's still a teen. Next...
BmanHall - 1/19/2010, 8:19 AM
@ Shaman: I bet he doesn't. Who knows at this point. However I am quite sure that no project he has ever directed has been as anticipated or as watched as this one is.
Much of the comic book reading world (millions of people) is currently waiting and wondering what will happen. This guy might be oblivious to the rather hefty weight of that right now, but if he blows this thing somehow I bet he'll feel it!
SixSixteen - 1/19/2010, 8:31 AM
@DarthMulder -- I've been saying from the start that they need to get this one right, even more importantly than getting Iron Man, Thor, or Hulk right because they've chosen to use it as the official lead-in to the Avengers movie, by calling it "Captain America: The First Avenger" (or whatever variant thereof it actually is...). They really, really need to get this movie right from start to finish because it isn't just another movie. This is the one that should set the tone for every Avengers movie we get and begin the buzz for the Avengers movie(s).

Good buzz here will extend into the Avengers. Bad buzz... yeah, that could kill the whole franchise, or at least leave it limping out of the gate. I have to wonder if this has been expressed to Johnston yet.

While I'd probably argue that "millions of people" might be an optimistic exaggeration these days for the current comic book reading world, the number of people that this movie can reach, because of the long history of the character is much bigger than that. This needs to be done right.
TheDemonHunter - 1/19/2010, 9:21 AM
Darth- Too true! If he blows this, he can pretty much say bye bye to his action/adventure/sci-fi carreer. He'd be in a worse place than Stephen Norrington(LXG)! And Norrington actually gave us one of the very best CBMs ever made with the first Blade!!! If he blows Cap, his unborn great grand children will feel the thud!!!

TheDemonHunter- Yeah, there might not be millions of Cap comic readers but there sure are millions of war movie fans, action movie fans, superhero movie fans, comic book fans AND the very character's fanbase spanning way back from his conception! That's alot of freakin' people to piss off at one time!!! He better get it good. I'd actually be happy if he crumbled under the pressure and refused to do it so Marvel could give it to Favreau or another highly successful CBM maker. I'm not saying he's a sure loss, i'm just saying i'd like some Favreau/Branaugh/Jackman enthusiasm here!!! Just him saying "it'll rock" isn't enough for me. I'd like others to witness his enthusiasm personally and comment on it publicaly!
Shaman - 1/19/2010, 9:23 AM
...hmm looks like Bucky's sister.
Macksimus - 1/19/2010, 10:42 AM
I think Johnston hasn't been saying much because he's still doing last minute stuff on Wolfman. Hopefully once that is done and he does the talk show circuit, we will hear more stuff, like Campbell with GL.
DogsOfWar - 1/19/2010, 10:51 AM
Lets hope so ;)
Shaman - 1/19/2010, 11:03 AM
He looks like a Hobbit. Frodooooh!
SirPrize - 1/19/2010, 11:40 AM
lol @ Macksimus

@ Shaman & Demonhunter: It's like this gents:

Personally I am not much of a DC guy. BUT I am all over the Green Lantern movie. I have only read a relatively few comics with him in it, so I really can't be accurately described as a GL "fan".

However I really CARE about the movie. I still think about the movie. I still want it to be good.

I think most comic book readers feel the same about the Cap movie whether they read Captain America comics or not. That's how it's been for every other CBM. Comic book fans generally gravitate toward watching CBM's no matter what the book is. Also in this day and age there is a lot of cross polination betwen different kinds of geekdom. Fans of anime and manga also tend to watch CBMs when they come to the theater as do fans of science fiction, fantasy, and gaming.

That's a LOT of attention. This represents a veritable boatload of people saying who WILL want to see this movie that MUST number in the millions. It just has to.

I'd much rather see an unknown in this part than someone we see all the time. ((Though Jensen Ackles would be good for it, I guess. I mean, he's lesser known than a lot of celebs.))
Though, this guy would sooo be Bucky. Which would be good for a future CAP film that has Winter Soldier in it.

They have to be very careful as to who they choose because, if all goes well, this will be the face of Marvel's Hollywood endeavor for years to come....DON'T SCREW THIS UP!!

Daniel Day Lewis has the ability to play any one and make it awesome! I would love to see him affiliated with the movie- He would be a great choice for Red Skull.
(If Red Skull is featured in the upcoming movie)
