As an African American I never even thought of this when watching this movie. To be fair I havent seen this Back 2 the Future in something like 10 years. In a personal bit of pride, its good to see that blacks are getting recognition for inventing Rock and Roll along with Hip Hop, Jazz and R&B.

@Hush2010- Yeah, it kind of saddens me how so many young black people today have abandoned rock and roll, believing it to be non-representative of their life or culture. Ike Turner, Chuck Berry and Little Richard Penniman really got the whole ball rolling (along with other, less well known pioneers.) As Little Richard himself once said, "Rythm and Blues had a baby, and they named him Rock & Roll!"
