Green Lantern is the name of multiple superheroes from the DC Universe, all of whom are characterized by a power ring and the ability to create solid constructs with the ring. Each Green Lantern possesses a power ring and power lantern that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it. The ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe and can be very dangerous. The rings worn by all subsequent Lanterns are technological creations of the Guardians of the Universe, who granted such rings to worthy candidates. These individuals made up the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps.

Note: This DC Comics Cinematic Universe is completely fictional and it acts like a comic book movie has never been made before. If I cast someone that is already playing a CBM character in real life please ignore. Thank you!

Plot/Summary: Hal Jordan was just a washed up test pilot with no way to fly, until the dying alien Abin Sur gave him his power ring, the most powerful weapon in the universe-and his entry into reality he could’ve never imagined. As Hal and his mentor Sinestro investigate the death of Abin Sur they end up chasing someone that holds the darkest secrets of the Guardians of the Universe.

About the Movie

The Suit

The suit would be the same as above. I think that each lantern should have their own ideal design, all of them basically the same, but they get to add their own flare to it.

The Constructs

I want the constructs to be original and not overused. Maybe why’ll Hal is training he might reuse a lot of constructs, but he should grow out of it. (I got this following idea from @BigEars) when the constructs form it would look like how it does when the light cycles form in Tron Legacy. They’d also dissolve like they do in Tron Legacy.

The Tone

I think the tone of Star Trek would fit this movie. Serious yet has funny moments at the right times.

The Director

J.J Abrams is one of the best Sci-Fi film directors I’ve ever seen. I think he could bring what he brought to Stark Trek to this.

The Score

I would like the score to have classic hero music, but also some Dubstep also. I think Dubstep just fits sci-fi movies really well. If they had Dubstep I would get Daft Punk to score. They did a great job on Tron: Legacy. I’d also like their song with Kanye West Stronger to be the main theme.

ON TO THE FANCAST

Green Lantern/Hal Jordan-Chris Pine

Green Lantern: Hal Jordan was chosen to be Green Lantern 2814 by the dying alien; Abin Sur. Hal has since been widely considered the greatest Green Lantern.
Chris Pine: He’s a great actor (one of my favorites) I think that he would be an excellent Hal Jordan. The Kirk he played in Star Trek is the same type of character I want Hal Jordan to be.

Sinestro-Hugo Weaving

Sinestro: Thaal Sinestro, originally an anthropologist from the planet Korugar, had a natural affinity for order as displayed by his meticulous reconstructions of ancient ruins. It was at one of these reconstructions that a wounded Green Lantern, Prohl Gosgotha, crash landed. He gave his ring to Sinestro who barely defeated the lantern's pursuer, a Weaponer of Qward , at the cost of the very ruins he had restored. When Gosgotha requested his ring back after the battle so that it might keep him alive Sinestro instead allowed him to die and took his place. The Guardians, unaware of his actions, allowed Sinestro to become the Green Lantern for sector 1417.
Hugo Weaving: Weaving is an amazing actor who I think could play Sinestro very well.

Atrocitus-Johnathan Adams

Atrocitus:Survivor of the massacre in Sector 666 and founder of the Red Lantern Corps who anointed the Red Lantern in blood and harnessed the power of the Red Spectrum of Light.
Johnathan Adams: He voices Atrocitus on Green Lantern TAS and i think would do well in the role on the big screen.

Abin Sur-Viggo Mortensen

Abin Sur: Honored Fallen Lantern of Space Sector 2814; predecessor of Hal Jordan.
Viggo Mortensen: Many want him as Sinestro, but I can’t see it. Yes Mortensen is only 2 years older than Sinestro, but he’s only in the beginning and the makeup and little CGI used on him will make him look older.

Carol Ferris-Olivia Wilde

Carol Ferris: Carol's background is closely entwined with that of Hal Jordan. The two met as children as Hal's father Martin worked for Carol's father Carlat Ferris Air. Carol was usually depicted as living a very privileged life where money solved any needs she had. Despite this aloof and spoiled demeanor she often displayed moments of kindness such as when his aircraft tragically crashed, and as she was standing next to Hal at the time. As she aged into adulthood she took over control of the company from her father who was terminally ill. She was essentially forced to rebuild the company from the ground up once she took over officially (though she had been running it behind the scenes for quite some time), and at one point she had only Hal and Tom Kalmaku as employees.
Olivia Wilde: Olivia Wilde is a talented actress that would be great in this role.

Kilowog-Kevin Michael Richardson

Kilowog: Kilowog is the Green Lantern of Space Sector 674. He is also the Green Lantern Corps drill sergeant.
Kevin Michael Richardson: He voices Kilowog on Green Lantern TAS and I think he has a good voice for the role

Tomar-Re-David Tennant

Tomar-Re: Tomar Re was working as a scientist on his home world Xudar, when he was approached by the Guardians Of The Universe who wanted him to become one of their Green Lanterns. Tomar became an important member of the Corps as he trained numerous recruits and served as a member of the honor guard.
David Tennant: Very talented actor who I think would be phenomenal in the role.

Hector Hammond-Jude Law

Hector Hammond: Genius who evolved himself into a man of the future with a meteor's power. His futuristic brain grants him many powers that make him a very dangerous foe to Green Lantern.
Jude Law: I just finished reading Green Lantern Secret Origin (for the 100th time) and when I was thinking of hector Hammond the first actor that popped up in my head was Jude Law and I honestly couldn’t think on anyone else.

Martin Jordan-Daniel Lissing

Martin Jordan: Father of Hal Jordan. Died in a plane crash while flying a plane for Ferris Air
Daniel Lissing: Daniel Lissing is a great actor. After seeing him on Last Resort I knew he would have to be casted in some role in a cbm.

After Credits Scene

Sinestro is seen flying towards his home planet Korougar. Sinestro finds it in ruins. An invasion had occurred why’ll he was gone. He tries to fight off the invaders, but can’t. A voice pops in his head

“The power of will cannot stop this, you must use the power of…fear

Sinestro’s eyes widen, and then he closes his eyes. He opens his eyes again and they are yellow…

Pretty great cast! Hugo Weaving isnt my first choice for Sinestro but it could definatly work! And I love the whole tone of the movie, I agree funny but without being a joke. And I'm still waiting for J.J Abrams to do a CBM...

Not a bad idea for a better Green Lantern film. I could see this.

When you have a minute, check out my latest fancast: "Danger Girl: Dangerous Vacation".

only thing I'd change is Hugo Weaving as Sinestro, I'd salvage Mark Strong from the original since I think he was one of the only things done properly in the......"movie".....I'd also want to give Reynolds another shot cause given proper direction he can make a great Hal Jordan.

I love it, but Daft Punk is not Dubstep. Other than that: great cast! JJ is the man!

Dubstep is bad, and you should feel bad. Rest is great, though.
