So, There is a Flash Movie in the Making... Among Others.

So the Scarlet Speedster is one of many heroes coming to the big screen. I know it's been talked about but it's Finally moving forward.
I read earlier today that Geoff Johns (Writer of FLASH: Rebirth) is now attached to the Flash Movie. DC Comics and Warner Bros. is on the move to bringing several of our heroes to the big screen.

There isn't any information as to which Flash they are doing but according to Hollywood Reporter Johns has worked up a new treatment to a "Flash" script, which is being written by Dan Mazeau. He will working at a producer level, and no director has been attached.

Geoff Johns, Marv Wolfman, and Grant Morrison have been hired by Warner Bros. to act as consultants and screen writers for Warner's superhero movies.

Some other movies that are in development are Bizarro Superman, a sequel to Constantine, two concurrent Green Arrow projects, and Shazaam. Unfortuantley they are still unsure as to how to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen. Also it looks like Superman will be taking some time before it comes out.

"Our hope is to develop a Superman property and to try again," Warner Bros. Entertainment president Alan Horn said in April. "What hurt us is that the reviews and so on for the Superman movie did not get the kind of critical acclaim that Batman got, and we have other issues with Superman that concern us."

Also from what I am understanding it looks like they want to do a JLA movie, but I think they are going to follow in Marvel's footsteps and do a movie for each hero then POSSIBLY bring them together.

With a Flash movie moving forward, I admit I am a little sad Reynolds is cast as GL, but they might not even go with Wally West which is who I think he should play. Also a Bizarro Superman?? Its being written by the same guy who wrote Galaxy Quest, which was a good movie, but if they can't even get Superman down why would they try to do Bizarro? Anyways sorry to anyone who might have posted this earlier.

Geoff Johns & Marv Wolfman? Excellent! They should use Barry, with Wally and Jay as side characters. Leaves room for sequels or spin offs.

Bizarro Superman??? are they serious how is that even going to work, It's just going to end up being a superman movie you can't introduce Bizarro without Supes that is just dumb.

if they are indeed going with the marvel/avengers concept, then i believe it would have to be the barry allen flash. since they chose the hal jordan green lantern, he is most closely associated with allen not west. if they are doing a silver age time frame of characters it must be barry. and thats the only way it makes sense if they want to do a jla. and there wont be a bizzaro movie, it would be too wierd and too outside the movie continuity.

He should've waited it out! Hopefully he'll prove us all wrong as GL!

If they play up the forensic cop angle with Barry it could be a very cool movie. I am still sad as well that Reynolds will not be Wally :(

i think the only one that will see the day is the flash...maybe supermax/green arrow but thats a huge hope...the flash seems best..i wouldnt even consider the bizzaro crap a possibility...thats crap talk

i do hope it's barry allen (worthington or dorff or maybe chris evans)...if they do wally id see the reaper kid starring as him...

btw GL first flight kicked major ass

anil@ the flash will be the only realistic one..however i think they may wait to see how green lantern does which means it will be some time off. also, the green arrow one is a possibity only because the budget wouldnt be that high if its a prison break movie. dont need lots of special effects etc...so they could do that one on the cheap. which would be great as long as the characters and acting were top notch.

green arrow - david wenham minus the brit accent (eric johnson of smallville if he had acting chops looks a good green arrow once he grows his beard btw)

Nice article...Reynolds would've been a great Wally West too bad. Oh yea can someone tell me why does everyone seems to HATE supermike. He seems to have a spell check problem, but other than that Im missing it. Maybe because Im not on here alot. I have to admit the bashing of supermike is quite FUNNY... keep it coming and good JOB GUYS AND GALS good job.

Ok so first of all i think this flash movie has some hope because its got people like Geoff Johns, Marv Wolfman, and Grant Morrison working on it.

Secondly BLADE4040 if you go onto youtube and type in supermikes reviews or something like that you'll see that supermike is crazy.

Oh yeh and..... SUPERMIKE IS AN ASSHOLE

I have yet to see his reviews but I have heard a lot about how they are crazy.

If Geoff is working on the Flash it could turn out quite well.

You forgot Adam Strange and Aquaman. Those both are moving along. And, yes, Reynolds would have been better as Wally West. Oh well. Still excited anway :)

the flash is a under done hero that deserves to b brought back 2 life.. u can't let the character die if you haven't kept it alive.
