The Amazing Spider-Man is due out 2012 and is directed by Marc Webb.

LEEE777 - Well I still say its got a lot to do to top Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 1 & 2, time will tell.

im actually looking forward to this reboot. i liked raimis films, so im not a hater. even though i werent keen on the third one, like nearly every cbm fan out there. and yeah i dont think tobey was as bad as every made him out to be. he was good. but i like the idea of them rebooting them. the suit does not bother me that much. people say, it looks like its just been put together, thats the point, his in high school, he doesnt have the money to put a suit together like the ones we see in raimis universe. im sure if he could afford to, he would put a belt on it lol. but i think some new blood and a new cast, is what spidey needs. i new take on it, is not such a bad idea. garfield can act, so im sure he can pull it off. and even tho mark webb has never directed an action flick like spidey, he'll bring some thing new to the genre. i dont mean lovey dovey things, but his not used to the genre, and will bring things, that people whose used to directing this genre, have not thought about cuz, they have got to comfortable in hashing out the same movies. i think this films desserves chance. and people need to stop hating it. only judge until you have seen it. as for the pee stain, mark webb stated the suits been made specificaly for 3d. i think that area is going to be edited, due to being aimed for kids, and im sure, no kid wants so see a bulge in their face, specially as it could be true, with it being 3d.

3D needs to go away until they can do it with no glasses! : P

THOR did not need it... damn thats the only way I could have watched it, the 2D was shown later on that night.

The difference being that Thor was converted and this is being filmed using state of the art 3D camera.

I for one am glad they rebooted the franchise - I loved the Spider-Man Raimi created, however after Spider-Man 3 I knew it was time to go in another direction....Hopefully they'll have another crack at venom in future films, if this is a success.

Emma is a babe! If this is as good as I hope it is then I'd really like this to become a multi film franchise, why limit it to a trilogy when we could have all Spidey's villains transferred onto the silver screen!?

I'm also glad it's getting a reboot. Two reasons why is because I've always wanted to see The Lizard in a Spider-Man movie and because I was VERY mad at the idea of "Vultress".

Emma Stone is so beautiful. I much prefer how she looks in the set photos compared to how she looks like in CherryBomb's pic. More natural and cute.
She's perfect for Gwen.

@AlSimmons nah I think it's from the cover of the video game Naughty Bear, it's funny, one day I was in a Game shop and just stumbled upon the sources of Grif's past two or three display pics within the space of about 30 seconds

I hope Uncle Ben has a larger role in this film than in the first one. I mean I know he's destined to die, but I wish he'd at least make it towards the end of the movie before they killed him.

Hopefully they'll stay away from the villains used in the other trilogy as they're still fresh in our minds, there's still other good villains to go. Then when the time is right.... Black Spider-Man/ Venom storyline! Done right this time with no other villians included aaaand Carnage for a post credit scene afterwards :)

@Intruder- i'll give it a try. i did like the most recent pics of peter parker, so there's a chance i'll come around to it.But... gah. fine. it's looking like i'll possibly turn around. Gives off an indy film vibe, while still being big budget. and i like that kind of thing. I just don't want pandering to the twilight generation. or peter parker in skinny jeans :P.
