Transformers Takes Another $36.7 Million on Friday

Despite some disappointing fan reviews, it seems there no stopping the robot revolution!

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has earned yet another $36.7 million on Friday and brings its three day domestic total to a whopping $125.9 million.

While Bays new Transformers is heading for a five day worldwide box office record, it is estimated that its domestic haul over the same frame could be more than $190 million.

A little movie you may of heard of called The Dark Knight holds the five day opening domestic record with $203.8 million. The Transformers sequel could earn $115 million this weekend for a five day total of $205 million. That's alot of money!

Revenge of the Fallen which is a DreamWorks/Paramount release is currently playing at 4,234 theaters, 169 of which are IMAX.

LEEE777 - Well i know its getting mixed reactions but most really love the sequel and im personally glad its making all these Millions, we can look forward to a Transformers 3 and if anyone's listening a Transformers/Gi joe crossover movie sometime in the future! 	I don't get what the big deal is about the twins, I'm from the Deep South and EVERYONE makes fun of us, to most of the US all of Georgia is like Tobacco Road, I lived in the town that that the story was based on btw, seriously, I knew the family that the poor people were based on. you know thats not really helping my argument. 	I am totally [frick]ed up right now. My brother from another mother insisted we get hammered after the flic... and I gave in. I enjoyed it immensely. Now, as all films, it had its own issue's, especially abrupt ending of character development. What happened to the twins after last seen climbing across Devestator like a spider-monkey, I dunno, and there are no shortage of instances such as this. Sam's mom was no worse than my mom, it was his roomie that was pissing me off. All-in-all, great flic. And I say this with absolute conviction, if you didn't like this movie, you are a cynical asshole. I am not one of these punk ass 18-20 year old jackass' who think they grew up on Transformers and G.I. Joe. I was there when Optimus Prime died, it was one of my first theater experience's ever, and I cried. 	Transformers 2 was a half great movie, half steaming pile of garbage. So the medium ground has to be that it was just ok. I certainly never thought it would flop! If they had of chopped off half hour of silly crap and upped the Robots character development it would have been great. I still preferred the first one. 	I stand my ground, this movie was cool but it was stupid. No where near as fail as Wolverine:Deplorigins but the development was lacking , the fight scenes were still too blurry although cool. 	i thought rotf was great. just as good as the first, if not a lil better. the only problem i had with it is that they didnt introduce or show interactions with the new robots. they were pretty much just in the background. but everything else was great imo. id like to see bay get into the unicron story for the 3rd movie. if bay was smart he could of had a great trilogy if given the right story. heck it coulda even been a whole line of movies like harry potter. but we got wat he gave and im not complaining cuz it was still great. just a little more robot character development for the next movie please, optimus doesnt always have to be the main or only focal point. 	I thought ROTF was amazing the action was superb and the humor was great minus the twins they were semi funny at first but got annoying after awhile but it was pretty sweet when they took on Devistator. I also thought that Megatron got jipped in this movie, ok yeah he got more screen time then the last movie but not much more, he was MIA after SPOILER Optimus died until the end. Megatron also seemed weaker in ROTF compared to the first film, in the first movie he was thrashing Optimus all over the city but in this one Optimus was taking on Megatron and two other Decepticons, if Megatron was as powerful as he was in the first movie he would have mopped the floor with Optimus considering the only reason he died was because Sam used the cube on him. The Decepticons were more flushed out in this film you got to see there personalities and stuff like how Starscream was groveling to Megatron and how he didn't bring him back so he could assume leadership, that was just like the show, but the new Autobots got jipped, they only mentioned RC's name once and the 3 cycles never got a name drop at all. oh and I also didn't like the transformer woman, to my knowledge of TF there has never been a human transformer. 	Ror: Here's one on ya... I totally agree. I liked as much as I could of the movie, the special effects were AWESOME! The scenes with Optimus Prime were incredible, and the action was beautiful... But Fox's acting was ATROCIOUS! (Her plastic lips were more distracting to me than the digital effects, and less believable.) The Whitwicky family needed to be ommitted from the script entirely! There was way too much "schmaltzy" romance and poorly placed comedy. Couple that with my earlier complaints about the unnecessary language and sexually suggestive material (I have two young boys, and as a father, this aspect of the movie dissapointed me more than any of the rest), and I would have to give the movie about a 6 out of 10.
