Sega Releasing New Aliens vs Predator Game! Teaser Trailer and Screenshots!

FPS action horror being incubated in the depths of Rebellion. Details Released on New Aliens vs. Predator Game from SEGA and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising
SEGA today revealed details of the much anticipated FPS action horror game, Aliens vs. Predator (working title). It will be the first title to be launched in SEGA’s forthcoming series of Aliens games licensed by Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox Licensing).

Developed at Rebellion by the team responsible for the original 1999 classic, in the all-new Aliens vs. Predator players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species; the Colonial Marine, the Predator and the Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven single-player campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator will also feature unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other in the ultimate battle for survival and for the right to be crowned the deadliest species.

On planet BG-386 a colonist mining group discovers an ancient pyramid containing a dark and horrible secret. Across the stars a race of warriors is alerted to the discovery of their pyramid and a hunting party is dispatched to ensure that it remains sealed at all costs, whilst deep inside the ruined pyramid a malevolent intelligence awakes from centuries of dormancy.

The Marine’s story is an incredible fight against the odds, and the horrors lurking in the dark. Beset on all sides yet armed to the teeth, the Colonial Marine represents humanity’s last stand with the firepower to fight back.

As the Alien, players will discover what it’s like to be the most murderous and lethal creature in the universe, with the ability to traverse any surface with awesome agility in order to get close enough to unleash its deadly teeth and claws.

A master of the hunt, the Predator grants the player a suite of exotic weaponry and equipment with which to stalk its unknowing prey. Earn the greatest honour by ambushing prey up-close and butchering them for a gory trophy kill.

Aliens vs. Predator is set to be released on Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system and Windows-based PC in early 2010.

saw some footage of this on Xbox Live a while ago and it looked awesome. i was a sucker for this game years and years ago so i'm stoked for a next gen. update.

Yeah, they had a short segment on GameTrailers about two weeks back, but it was just an interview and then showed people working with the 3D models. No Meat :(

Roar, i wanted to wait till i had the money for a PS3 and didn't really care how long it took but... since my girlfriend bought it for me, i can tell you it's worth getting NOW!!! The PS3 is amazing :)) And i'm just a casual gamer.

I have a Ps3. It is my BluRay/DvD Player. Play most of my games on the 360. My Wii is always jealous it just sits there.

Hey Nate!!! Any news on if UbiSoft will be making a Tenchu for PS3??? Cause they're pissing me off with they're Wii version lookin me in the eye from the shelf everytime i go to the videogame store!!! And Sega's fatal shadows sucked ass compared to K2's Wrath of Heaven.

I have all 3 as well, and I tend to use the PS3 for movies... All of my friends that I game with have 360s. I'm sure if they all had PS3s we'd be playing it instead.

The Wii's pretty much a doorstop now, although that may change when Dead Space Extraction comes out :op

@Shaman - TENCHU 4 IS COMING THIS YEAR!

I did a little digging and it looks like Tenchu 4 is coming out this year for all the major platforms. You can read a bit about it here.

Thanks for the search but your link is blocked from my work, damn it!!! THERE IS NO JUSTICE!!!! But i'll take your word for it buddy, and i'll be buying it as soon as it comes out!!! Might even pre-order it if i can :)) And you say that your Wii is now a doorstop but have you tried Tenchu on the Wii??? Cause it looks like Ubisoft did a kickass job with the franchise plus on the Wii, it's a lot more "interactive" since you act out the stealth kills yourself with the controlers :)) Might wanna give it a shot ;)

360 all the way - even though the hardware crashes as much as a tardo on a pogo stick, I still think Xbox reigns when it comes to strictly gaming/online gaming.

one day - when the PS3 drops to around 300 bucks for a 'good' package - I'll think about it. but honestly - if it didn't have blu-ray - would anyone want it as bad? that's like it's number 1 selling feature in ads - and it's a gaming console.

Actually, i'll never buy a Microsoft console until they get a controler that looks and feels exactly the same as Sony's. For me it's PS3 all the way cause i don't like online gaming. PS2 has always been better than the original X-Box IMO and so far PS3 is following in the same footsteps. Plus i remember wanting games that were only offered on the Sony console too many times even since the PSone. Sorry, i'm just not crossing over :)

I was attracted to this site years ago because it was called Comic Book Movie. The old layout was nice...

Hell I can't make up my mind if I want a PS3 or an XBOX 360. I'll be glady to receive any recommendations. I have an XP partition on my MAC PRO that I play PC games on. I have a Wii and it's pretty much a dust collector now.

ps3 is pound for pound the best bluray on the market. David Jafe is creating games for it.

360 has the best online service, but its at a cost.
360 has a better game library.
Its cheaper.
Up converts nicely, HDMI on all consoles.

TheJester- Nice breakdown :) I guess it all depends on what you're "in to". Like i said, most of the games i've wanted in the past have been with Sony. But if you're into games such as "Halo" well X-Box is the way to go :)

Roar- Yeah i know it must be as hard for you(irish) to go without boose for a week as it would be for me (canadian) to go one week without Kraft Dinner LOL :P but hey, there's always next week to play and drink at the same time :))

I don't even like Hockey either.

But yes - I was forced to play it at a young age - sort of enrolled if you will - which seems to be a Canadian law. i was never that great - more of a goon.

has anyone played 1 vs. 100 beta on Xbox live? such a good idea man - an interactive game show - brilliant.

I am actually on the dry this weekend anyway because im off on hols next weekend..still no PS3 in my future though! Its hard to justify spending 300 quid on a games console in the current climate!(wont say the "R" word)

I actually still enjoy playing the PS2 sometimes..but its not a nice feeling knowing theres something better out there!

BTW, most of the good games come on both consoles anymore... The only "exclusives" that I've felt were worth having the consoles for were PS3) Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2 and Xbox 360) Gears of War, Halo, Halo Wars... Halo's fun, but it got old pretty quick.

The Call of Duty series on either one rocks, same with Dead Space (my absolute FAVORITE game currently), Resident Evil 5, etc.

If there was just enough time in the day to watch all the movies, read all the comics, and play all the games that are out there... :o(

PS2 was easily the best console of its time. Unfortunately I had to sell mine to get my 360.

I have a 360 but I still think the PS3 has better exclusives(I've been DYING to play inFamous). For me the choice between the PS3 or the 360 was a no brainer coz here the PS3 costs about 450 US$ and a 360 costs abt 320 US$. Even importantly though, here one PS3 game costs 60 US$ but a 360 game costs about 2 US$. =)

Well i've always been a "2D tournement fighter" guy and Sony has always had them, not microsoft. My favorite games of all time are the "TENCHU" games and at first they weren't available on X-Box. Tenchu Wrath of Heaven (best game ever) was on the PS2 for a good year and a half before Microsoft got the rights to put it on they're console. And RPG wise, i'm mega huge on ATLUS and they are primarily with Sony. See why i've always stuck with Sony now? And as for my newly acquired PS3, can anybody say ASSASIN'S CREED!!!!! My new favorite game (PS3 only i believe). Is the last Prince of Persia only on PS3 too??? Cause that's another one on my list. Let's face it, for someone like me, there's just no contest! PS3 all the way :)) And that's not even mentionning they're kick ass controler design!!! And i haven't even mentionned the "blu ray" on this thing LOL :P

Dude, both Assasin's Creed and Prince Of Persia are on 360 as well. Oh and the 360 controller is SO much better!

But still, like I said I have a 360 but I still like the PS3 more.

Macksimus: 1.-You have to have a Fansite (it is easy and fun to create one) here at CBM.

2.-In the left tab, go to ARTICLES-New Article.

3.-Scroll down and you will see EMBED IMAGE/IMAGE MANAGEMENT in blue letters.

4.-A window will open,"Manage Uploaded Images" then you UPLOAD (in blue letters) and then Browse AS MANY IMAGES AS YOU WANT from your hard disk.. Accept and it will take you back to the previous window..

5.-Now you can see the LIST of your uploaded images, and the html code to copy/embed it in the comments section as any given words. (You´ll notice that when you click in the box with the html code it will automatically select the whole text,all you have to do is copy it)

Hope that works! If someone knows a shorter way to get to the Manage Uploaded Images, instead of opening the Articles option please let me know..

@Macksimus Forgot to mention that if you have a fansite, you can also create a picture gallery, upload pictures to it, etc, and then use the embed code that's provided... Similar to the image management that's accessible on the article page, but you can group things :o)

@Shaman I have to disagree with you on the controllers... I'm not a big fan of the PS3 controller. Didn't seem to bother me when I had a PS1, but now they just seem too small... I LOVE the Xbox 360 controller.

Thanks for those trailer links. Prototype looks good but is it all out in the open all the time? Kinda like Mercenaries or Hulk Total Destruction? Cause if there's not Stealth, i'll get tired of it quick. Infamous looked a bit more promissing but yet again, if it's just bash and trash regardless of cool powers, i'm not gonna spend a whole weekend playing it. Kinda has me worried for Wolverine and Batman Arkham. Hopefully Arkham will have some sort of stealth kinda like the Batman Begins game which i still enjoy to this day :))

There was this game on the PS2 which was called "Second Sight". It had a great atmosphere, use of stealth and kick ass psychokinetic powers. The storyline was actually pretty intriguing too. Now if Infamous is somewhat like that, it might be a winner in my book :)

Prototype is an open world game like Spidey 2 or Hulk Ultimate Destruction. The story behind it is that you're a shapeshifter who wakes up in a morgue and you have no idea who you are. You can shift your body to be used as a weapon, or a shield and so forth. You will have superhuman strength and speed.
Parts of NYC are infected with a virus, causing people to mutate, and the military is called in, along with an elite group called Blackwatch(I think), whose weapons are updated just as you level uo and gain new powers.
If you like stealth, then you'll love this coz you can consume(literally) anybody and turn into them. You'll gain their memories, which is mainly how you will unlock your past. You also gain the victims knowledge. For example, you can consume an army pilot, learn how to fly a helicopter, and then jack a helicopter(or any other military vehicle). Or if you consume a general, then you can even order military strikes or (the coolest bit), you consume a soldier and infiltrate an army base, and your cover is blown. You grab a soldier and scuffle then break away from him and point at him, and the army will just shoot him!

I donk know much abt infamous seeing as that its not on 360 but im sure it doesnt have any stealth.

PS I loved Shadow of the Colossus on the PS2! Best game EVER!

And sorry for the mile-long post. Its just that I've been waiting for Prototype for abt 2 years now. :)

Youre right. Xbox does have a bigger selection of games, than ps3 and wii. I work at game stop, as a back up employee...and I pretty much have ran through what games I would get depending on ratings. The games that are on both systems dont count, when I'm talking about this. Only reason ps3 doesnt have a big selection of games is because they said "NO" to those companies when they introduced games to ps3 console...those same games ended up with microsoft and SUCKED! I dislike when people talk about how big of a selection xbox has, its like its not that selection is worth having...the only game worth buying for xbox are the ONLY for Xbox titles, and the good ones by the way...NOT the shitty ones. The ones for both systems should be bought on ps3, blu ray saftey and NO SCRATCHES thank you very much blu-ray software!

The only reason to get an Xbox is if you want to play Gears of War, Halo, Lost planet, MASS EFFECT [Sweet ass game by the way]...and also if youre not willing to spend 50-100$ MORE on a ps3. Most of the people bought a microsoft because it was cheaper.

The best system ever made on the market for this generation was PS3 60gb system. Why? Ps3 60 gb had 4 hdmis, had enternet, had a backwards compatibility for 99% of ps1 & ps2 games, memory slot to transfer date over to the system, and over a 1000 dollar BLU_RAY Player, why else do you think the system is so DAMN HEAVY compared to the 40gigs, or 80s?....The Next best sytem to that would be the 360 Elite, 10% of those models got the RED EYE OF DEATH...all the other systems suck.

Plus Xbox 720 is coming out in a year and a half. why even bother paying for another Xbox system now? By the way Microsoft will nevr rhave the rights to Blu ray becaus eof phillips and sony partnership, and the next generation xbox is supposedly backwards compatibile? which is why they will stop making 360, and 360 games...but yet youll be able to play them on 720.

Plus sony promises 10 years for nearly each system....ps1 was nearly 9 and a half years...ps2 is in its 10 year....and ps3 is promised to be a 10 year system...even if the ps4 comes out. plus you cant forget about PLAYSTATION HOME...able to play free games if you wanted online with friends and networking.

Btw, Final Fantasy Versus 13 and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion is ONLY for ps3, I dont understand why people get so excited that those games are on 360? Its not like youre getting the FULL game. Tekken 6 is uncomplete. Just like GT6 prologue lol. Plus the price cut for the ps3 thats comign up, and promotion for the god of war 3 game bundle uahahaa. ITs just the beginning for these consoles. Wii doesnt even count. Wii has more sales, whippie doo....wii always has family games, and LAME games made over and over for nintendo....if you have WII it probably just sits there...unless a friend comes over lol

TheDevilsRightHandMan- Cool, i like freeroaming :) Spidey2 was very good, i don't get why Spidey3 wasn't though. For some reason, i didn't like playing it. I enjoyed Ultimate Spiderman a lot but goddamn it was way too short!!! The "abducting" ability sounds pretty good in prototype, i'll have to check it out :)

Aiiwolf- The only 2 games that made me want an X-box were nothing compared to what sony offered. Fable 1 and 2 were the ones that i really would've like to play but will never get the chance to. Any games resemble those on PS3, guys??? And i don't know about you but my PS3 80g is REALLY heavy. You're saying the 60g is heavier??? That's crazy! Someone had told me that if you had anything under the 80g, it wasn't backwards compatible??? Since i don't have a memory card slot for my PS2 saved data, is there a wire that i can buy to download it from my PS2??? The next Final Fantasy is only on the PS3??? Shit, my girlfriend will be pissed cause she has a Wii. At least she didn't have to pay for hers, she won it at a office christmas party :))

I have a 60gig and it is the one that is the most backwards compatible. But they are hard to find now. If you dont have a PS3 the reason to get one is for God of War 3!
