But Dr. Fate got a really cool helmet & costume. So Fate would win a clash on the catwalk. Anywhere else Dr. Strange all day!

After the feedback from the 'cameo' of Dr. Fate article, this matchup was inevitable.

To tell you the truth, I like BOTH characters. So my vote is not weighed by my love for either company (like some). Dr. Fate is my favorite DC character, but Dr. Strange seems the more powerful of the two on a neutral playing field.

No. Fate is an agent of Order. His helm is filled with the knowledge of Nabu, one of the lords of order. He fights against chaos and is, power-wise, Dr. Strange's equal. They would, truly, ruin EVERYONE'S shit if they fought each other.

The fight goes on for so long Dr Strangefate gets annoyed by it so he hops out of his little Amalgam niche to shut the pair up, with psychic powers.

An anti magic zone is a trick actually pulled on Strange at least once. They underestimated his martial skills. And its actually a very good way he could beat Fate.

Dr Strange's entire schtick is finding ways to beat people more powerful than him. He's all about deception, misdirection and using the opponent's weapons against them. Dormammu draws power from every living thing in a dimension plus is a magical entity himself. Shuma-Gorath ate universes. Urthona rules over multiple dimensions. Nebulos can channel the energies of the thing he's fighting. Death is death. And he beat the lot of them, one way or another.


How come they never made a Death Battle vid on this one? Its so common on forums.

This fight reminds me of sparring someone you've never met. You slip and parry, but can't seem to land a punch. You stuff takedowns, but can't seem to get them on the ground. When you do end up there, someone reverses, and you're back on your feet. Eventually, you high five, sit against a wall, and have a laugh. The real question isn't who wins, but which one gets the bar tab.

Lets not forget de fate is not just a person wielding magic like strange! Fate is actually nabu's spirit and also the entity since creation of time...dr fate hands down! Strange doesn't have a chance! And to be fair, they wont fight each other probably, they will admire their abilities and then appears our DR STRANGEFATE... :)

Sorry but strange is a walking deus ex machinima. He has the unfair ability to pull random spells out of his ass to combat any person, entity, or god. He pulls random powerful artifacts from his ass, at above batman levels. As over powered as that is, he also has the back up plan to summon powers from all powerful entities like cytorak. Let's also not forget strange dabbles in chaos magic.
