Bane to have his own Thumbler?

Bane to have his own Thumbler and Talia al Ghul to play a part in this.

As we all know, at the end of The Dark Knight the thumbler was no more and replaced by the batpod, but if you followed The Dark Knight Rises you would've seen some set picks of the classic black thumbler back in action (so to speak). Recently there were some set pics revealing Bane standing on top of a the prototype thumbler from Batman Begins. One possibility is that Batman wrecks his black Tumbler in some way, and needs to use a quick replacement. It’s boring, but it works. There’s also one more (highly speculative) possibility, however. Maybe Miranda Tate, Marion Cotillard’s character (who many suspect to be Talia al Ghul), uses Wayne Enterprises resources to give a Tumbler to Bane!

This theory is nothing but wild speculation. That said, imagine if Tate (secretly Talia al Ghul) used her position as a board member of Wayne Enterprises to supply her father’s chosen assassin (Bane, freed from prison) with the tools to defeat Batman. Doesn’t that sound plausible?

Anyway, feel free to debate Bane’s costume, the camo Tumbler, and our zany theories in our comments. We’d love to know what you think.

Y'know, I can actually see this happening. Have Miranda Tate secretly be Talia al Ghul, give Bane access to prototype Tumblers, etc...makes sense.
I was thinking that, with the multiple Tumblers spotted on set, maybe Bane lets prisoners use them after the prison break(s) in an all-out invasion of Gotham. Then again, who knows what Nolan's up to.

dude its called Tumbler not Thumbler

how u dont know that Coleman Reese gave away info about the Tumbler.
TopCat89 - 7/31/2011, 7:15 AM
Nice idea...i was wandering why 2 or 3 Tumblers have been spotted on set....seeing a they aren't painted black may indicate they aren't owned by Batman, and are as you said been stolen by or given to Bane etc

Great devices in raising hell in Gotham, plus they can pin the mayhem on Batman seeing as it looks like his old vehicle and people already believe he is responsible for the murders in The Dark Knight. So many possibilities....

Dude, could you not give away spoilers in the title of your article please?
And if you must, at least write "SPOILER ALER"T because it's really frustrating having story details on the main page without regard for those of us who don't want to know intimate details of the film.
skullboy - 7/31/2011, 7:26 AM
Oh snap, Talia? Whoa. So that's 3 villains or until Catwoman sides with Batman during the movie.
crucifier - 7/31/2011, 7:33 AM
@ZeroEthic: He did not give away spoilers, cuz as he said, this is nothing but speculation.

And THAT'S what he should have written in the title!

But instead he posted it like that, so that ppl would click it. Way to go jack@$$

if any1 thinks they figured it out they are probably wrong
megabatfan - 7/31/2011, 8:04 AM
Don't they always have more than one of anything made for the movies in case one is damaged during filming. Especially with suits. There's no reason to believe that these aren't simply just extras & we won't necessarily be seeing ALL of them on screen.
This is an exerp from Wikipedia on the Tumbler for Batman Begins: "Six vehicles were built for the production of the film. Two full-sized driving versions were used in exterior shots. One full-sized model with hydraulic enhancements was used in jump sequences. One full-sized, functional version carried propane tanks to fuel the rocket blast out of the rear nozzle. A radio-controlled, 1/3-scale electric model also performed stunts in the film (e.g., the roof-top chase sequence)"

marvel72 - 7/31/2011, 8:52 AM
the bane-mobile.
Vafrous - 7/31/2011, 9:01 AM
If the Tumbler were a person, it would be Bane...
95 - 7/31/2011, 9:25 AM
Miranda... er, Talia goes through all the trouble of releasing Bane just to kill Batman?

Why not simply walk up behind Bruce and stab him in the heart?

I read somewhere that Miranda was shooting scenes with Gordon and Blake, either they're investigating Wayne Enterprises or she's working for them. And of course, there's always the fact that she's just a board member trying to help out a grieving Bruce.

As for Bane getting possession of the Tumblers, he could of stole it from a warehouse or from an active war zone where it was being used. He could of transported it on the Hercules plane they filmed crash.
alucard365 - 7/31/2011, 9:49 AM
you wanna know the truth, nobody knows how Bane get's possession of the tumbler, you just got to wait tell July 20, 2012 to find out. it's that easy.
Vafrous - 7/31/2011, 10:04 AM
@Despero, I like the way you think...
AsianVersionOfET - 7/31/2011, 11:10 AM
Despero's the man.
marvelguy - 7/31/2011, 2:03 PM
Thumbler is what they use for protection while sewing their costumes!
dellamorte1872 - 7/31/2011, 2:04 PM
I CALLED THE MIRANDA = TALIA thing a long time ago, as soon as it was released. NEESON = DUCARD as well as RAS. so its kinda obdious shell be disguised hitting BRUCE emotionally and mentally from the inside while BANE deals with the physical BATMAN side. i predict a chick fight between CATWOMAN + TALIA. also i doubt those are BANE centric TUMBLERS i think they're just extra TUMBLERS acquired for all its stunts. THE TUMBLER was a clandestine U.S issued and then banned tool, the LEAGUE wouldnt be able to recreat it or get more. those are just additonal ones NOLAN needs for back-ups, establishing shots. setting things up so the "black" TUMBLER only gets hauled out once, its the "movie" version after all
megabatfan - 7/31/2011, 3:28 PM
That would be a thimble.... The Bat Thimble?...
avenger15 - 8/1/2011, 1:24 AM
that version of the prototype is diffrent to the original, you can see that it only has a one sided car screen, not two.
sexymuppet - 8/1/2011, 11:59 AM
holy shit a thumbler, A THUMBLER? what the [frick] id a thumbLer?

bilthebullet - 8/1/2011, 12:10 PM
@sexymuppet

I don't know what a thumbLer id.

Proofread your comments about bad writing.
Greengo - 8/1/2011, 4:05 PM
@DELAMORTE @COMICFAN.... Avenger15 has a good point. If they where just back-up[s why are they different? And if Miranda/Talia is on the board~ why wouldn't she be able to access to Applied Sciences division on The League's behalf?
NeoBaggins - 8/1/2011, 6:55 PM
The extensive fail on the name is unmatched by anything I've seen here. t's not refered to as "Thumbler" once, but several times. Why hasn't this been changed yet?
dellamorte1872 - 8/2/2011, 6:58 AM
TOUCHE @GREENGO - she prolly coulda but they are an old tech, not constructed. if she does anything she steals the plans or specs but idk. my 1st response is still my best guess. ane yes.....TALIA hasnt been confirmed but look at BB? her ruse fits the structure and archtype of the film trilogy as well as gives a nod to fans who wanted an evil chick villain, not SELINA who at best plays coy and elusive but ultimately sides with BRUCE
TheOther - 8/5/2011, 5:13 AM
@Intruder: You know the one we use to drink, nah just jokin' TUMBLER is Batman's Batmobile or Batank as my brother say
