Superman Will Dawn the Red Panties?

Since time began people have wondered whether or not Superman will wear his underwear on the outside in Superman: The Man of Steel. Now I have the Answer.

Yes, this is a pic of supermans crotch but with great responsibility comes great curiosity (That sounded wierd). If you look closely enough you will see his belt and under it a kinda purple-ish color which could be the red. Well now you know, not sure what else there is to say so I wont.

The trunks aren't there. I download a 4000x2000 version of the picture and zoomed in and looked extremely close. I don't really have a problem with it, I am really glad they used a modified version of the Earth One costume.

The trunks don't match the tone and texture of the suit. That's why there is red striping on his sides.

Lol, that is one awful picture, pixelated as hell, and i honestly hope he won't wear those stupid panties...NO ONE IS GOING TO RESPECT SOME DUDE WEARING HIS UNDIES INSIDE OUT!!!!!!!

You are kidding yourself if you think that recolouring proves anything. You are better off looking at the hi def image, there is textural shine in the crotch area that has a blue tinge. I call no jocks

New actor, new director, most likely new soundtrack. If you also change the (iconic) suit, it's not Superman. These "CBM"s are all just movies. We are not obligated to go. Like Green Lantern and Superman returns, if you mess with the suit, I don't see why I would go.

If you think the iconic suit is lame, don't use the character.

More people will see the movie if he has the trunks. Trunks are the expectation. Removing them is playing with fire and distracts from any story.

Change the costume and this guy is just another pointless, lame-ass post-90's comic book character. Nothing special. They need to keep the traditional costume. And the folks who don't like that, or don't like the fact that he ISN'T a dark, gritty character inhabiting a dark, gritty world, or that he isn't "modern," (like that's somehow a good thing,) obviously don't want Superman. They want something entirely different, (something that sucks.) Changing the character or even just his look will appeal to less than 5% of the audience this movie SHOULD be aiming for. It's only the more whiney of the fanboys complaining about the traditional look. General audiences have no problem with the traditional costume, trunks and all.

In other words: keep the trunks, and make it a SUPERMAN movie.

@Stranger YES!!! That's how I want to see Jor-El and Lara look. I really liked how they and Krypton looked in the animated series too.

Well said AngryTroll....I prefer the classic image of Superman. I certainly don't see the need to change things or "modernize" them.

Wait, that might be the XXX version that comes out six months later. Seriously though, I hope that they keep the iconic look.

THE BLOKE WEARS RED UNDIES. ITS PART OF HIS UNIFORM.

Just like when they wrecked X-Men. [frick] HOLLYWOOD.

X-men in the black leather was the gayest thing i have seen. seriously they thought wolverine in his yellow suit and mask was not realistic but spiderman looks cool in his red [frick]en suit.

the same with superman when singer tried to make the S symbol smaller.

how come no one talks about Wolverine not ever wearing his famous mask in any of the x-men movies???? explain that to me.

how come Gambit is not in the team. how come rogue was a emo when she was a sexy confident southern belle in the comics.

Atleast Marvel Studios are trying to stay loyal to the comics.

Seriously i dont care if Nolan made a good batman reboot. Superman not in the proper costume sounds dumb.

And any fan that says different is not a fan.
