The troubled sequel is back on after the production was halted over money issues last month.

Story Comes from TMZ:

Vin Diesel's new "Chronicles of Riddick" movie is back from the dead ... TMZ has learned ... after the production company scrounged up enough cash to pay off some long overdue bills.

We broke the story ... the movie came to a screeching halt last month, when the guy who owns the Montreal studio where the film is being shot LOCKED OUT the cast and crew after complaining that he hadn't gotten paid.

But things have FINALLY changed ... so says studio owner Michel Trudel, who claims the production company recently paid up ... and he's willing to allow the flick to pick up where it left off.

Sources connected with the production tell us ... the studio payment is just ONE step in the right direction -- noting that several members of the crew who had been griping about not receiving paychecks WILL INDEED get their cash in the very near future.

We're told that filming will resume on December 28.

I cannot wait! I love the first two movies!

The movie is going to happen no matter what, I really like this franchise a lot, especially the games. I just hope they make this one smaller and more tension oriented like Pitch Black. I would also really love Starbreeze to make a Chronicles of Riddick 2 to end the franchise story.

I didn't know that this had happened. I just thought that things were just cloaked and running smoothly.

Production should be stopped PERMANENTLY! None of them were any good to start with. Piece of trash.

This is not a bad movie series. I vaguely recall both movies and the short cartoon were reasonable and honest.

If they throw a lot of spaceships in there, a couple of space babes and more big statues i´ll be happy.

Riddick is a bad ass anti-hero, but not as bad ass as Snake Plisskin.

blonde clunt: "how do you write Riddick so well?"
Jack Nicholson: "I think of a man, then I take away reason and honesty."
You know why? Because reason and honesty DON'T FUThat fat [frick] Vin Un-leaded Non-premium Piss looked like a fat [frick] in Fast 5. This is going to be worse than that hell hole diving infernal shit mark cartoon. That cartoon stood in for the "Trilogy" because the first 2 sucked bad enough. Now Fat 5 brought this shit bird back to the top for another glimpse just to keep continuity when Dwayne Johnson TOTALLY replaces his lame fat chinned ass. That double chinned [foo foo], the lame story, alot if spaceships, a couple of space babes and more big statues should keep the [frick]ing tool assed fans hard for a few seconds though. They should just replace him with DJ anyway.
