The Quinjet Set to Appear in The Avengers?

Former Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada might have just confirmed the Quinjet's appearance along with some interesting costume details in Marvel's 2012 superhero epic. Hit the jump for more!

Via Twitter, Joe Quesada revealed today that he and several other notable comic book writers/artists visited the set of Marvel Studios The Avengers during filming. In his reaction tweets, he might be confirming that the Avengers will indeed be using the Quinjet as a means of transportation in the film.

Now I'm pretty sure he's joking about the costume nipples, but what do you guys think about the possible involvement of the Quinjet? Leave your thoughts below!

On another note, comic book writer Matt Fraction, who was also there during the set visit today, expressed his confidence in through Twitter as well.

@Xenix Yeah, I realized he was joking, hence my statement "...I'm pretty sure he's joking...". But I just also realized that I misconstrued his comment about costume nipples thinking that he was talking about actual costumes in the movie, when he was actually just joking about his D-Man costume. So yeah, thanks dude.

I hope it's a good quinjet design... I always liked the classic "shuttle" design, myself. No idea what has been looking like in this last decade though.

the quinjet had to make an appearence only two members of the avengers can fly.

so captain america,black widow,hawkeye & maybe the hulk can now get about.

Is there really anybody who didn't think the Quinjet would be in The Avengers movie? They don't all fly, how the hell did you think they'd get around? Did you think Cap and Hawkeye would just fly around on those stupid floating discs with the motorcycle handles like in the comics? "There's a crisis going in San Francisco!" "Quick, someone go on Expedia and book us a flight. I want an aisle seat so I can get up and walk around if my legs get cramped." "HULK WANT WINDOW!"

It was obvious it was going to be in it, but still, any Avengers news is good news!
