FANCAST: Spider-Man: Tangled Slinger

Since we're nearing the end of my vision of Spider-Man, I think it's fair I make a fancast....

Anton Yelchin as Peter Parker/Spider-Man



Yeah, I know he's the fan favorite for Harry's role but I think he can pull off a decent Peter Parker, but just remember this is my vision of Spider-Man, and heck, I saw Fright Night on Friday, and he's sold me that he can play Peter Parker.

Sasha Pieterse as Gwen Stacy



After watching Geek Charming last night, (yes yes I know *sigh*) And she is everything I want Gwen to be, pretty, smart, laid-back, and easy going, plus I think I have a teeny weeny crush on her. :D

Rosemary Harris as Aunt May



There is no denying that she is Aunt May, I watched Spider-Man 2 last night, and I still can't believe how good she is in the Spider-Man films.

Ralph Fiennes as Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin



Have you seen the Harry Potter films? He's like really [frick]ing evil, and the beginning of HP: DEATHLY HALLOWS PT1? I think he's a good enough actor to play this crazy [frick].

Denis Leary as Captain Stacy

You guessed it....

J.K Simmons as Triple J



TA-DA!! TRIPLE J! I REALLY HOPE THEY CAN BRING HIM BACK FOR THE REBOOT, HE IS, TOTALLY NON-REPLACEABLE!!

Some I can see, others, not so much, but Rosemary Harris is just awful. She's awful in everything she's ever been in, and I never liked her as Aunt May. Anton Yelchin however, I never woulda pieced that one together, but yeah...I dig it! I loved JK Simons as JJJ, but is he irreplacable? I don't think so. He was comedy relief in the movies where as JJJ in the comics isn't supposed to be! I could see Dennis Farina in a more serious comic related take on the character.

Anton would be cool as Parker. However I can see nothing wrong w/ Garfield. He's just as good of an actor if not better. The only thing the nitpickers find wrong w/ him is his puffy hair, other than that nothing.

Emma Stone is WAY hotter than that chick up there & can actualy ACT.

Cool pick for the Green Goblin though.

Good cast...Not the best, not the worst..

Sasha is a tad young for Anton. She is only 15...
But, she could pull it off I guess.

I never really liked Anton as Peter, but that casting wouldn't stop me from seeing the movie.

tweeeeenkies3 is right, Sasha is a bit young, but again, not completely against it.

Ralph Fiennes would be awesome as Osborn. I reckon there are quite a few actors though that could pull it off: Jason Isaacs and Bryan Cranston to name two.

Rosemary Harris is okay for Aunt May.

Denis Leary will be excellent in TASM as Stacy, so you have my vote there.

And J.K. Simmons is a terrific choice for JJJ, but I would rather see a more original pick.

Overall, I don't hate the cast, and there's nothing about it that would stop me from seeing it, but I don't know - could be better.

- Anton Yelchin would be great for Spider-Man. But after seeing some fancast, I think he'd be just as good for Harry Osborn for the timeline you have.
- I'm with tweeeeenkies3, Anton and Sasha is a pedophilia crime waiting to happen. Try someone closer like Ashley Benson.
- You need a new Aunt May, George Stacy and JJJ, not the ones already being played.
- I've heard Ralph's name drop in fancasts as Norman Osborn. Yeah, I could see it.

@SpiderHyphenMan...I know she looks older, because I watch "Pretty Little Liars", amd she is great, and very pretty....
But, I still think it would be wrong to have a 15 year old with a 20 something year old...Ya know?
RoadDog is right, maybe Ashley Benson, if you want an older Spider-Man?

I think Yelchin would be good as Parker but I still like Zac Efron for it. I know most people don't like him because he was in High School Musical but he is a good actor and I think he would be great as Spiderman.

I don't know your gwen pick but from what the other comments say she is too young my choice is either Emma Watson or Dakota Fanning

Fiennes would be good as Osbourne.

I would cast John Slattery as Captain Stacy.

J.K. Simmons was great as JJJ but I think the perfect choice for a replacement is Joe Pantoliano. He is a great actor and would bring both comedy and a seriousness to the character.
