COMICS: Two New Talons Featured In DC Owl Gallery
Gearing up for the big Bat-Family event, Night of the Owls, DC has released two more Talons from Gotham's past.
All the members of the Bat-Family are getting ready to go up against the Court of the Owls. The secret society dates back to Gotham City's foundation. The Court has a cadre of assassins known as Talons that execute its will. This May, everyone connected with Batman is in danger. DC has released the two more images in an ongoing series that showcases the Talons from the past as well as others that will wreak havoc on Gotham during Night of the Owls.
We have already gotten a look at the first Talon, dating back to the 1660s, but now we have two more dating back to the 1770s and 1840s respectively.
Batman artist Greg Capullo on the 1770s Talon (pictured bottom left) who will be resurrected to menace BATMAN AND ROBIN:
Same approach as the 1660s owl, basically. I looked at that period’s military. I was happy to find less frilly stuff. Overall, the period looks more bad-ass, despite the stockings.
Capullo on the 1840s mid-Victorian Talon (pictured bottom right) that threatens the Birds of Prey:
Now I’m thinking Jack the Ripper. Cloaks and lots of layers. A bird’s feathers are all layered. Perfect.
