1. This photo just screams Superman

2. The logo has a nice golden age vibe to it

3. This actually looks like a man instead of a boy

4. The cape is actually red instead of the maroon crap we got from Superman
Returns

5. I can now say "In Nolan, Snyder, Goyer, and Cavill I Trust"

6. Even though we can not see the full costume, I am completely sold.

That photo you have has been edited.
Although, that IS what what the colours look like,
it was the original photo that was edited to be duller and darker.
We don't know what Snyder is goiong to do in post-production with colours, tones, lighting etc so let's hope it looks more like this pic.

I think he looks great. Cavill looks ripped compared to Routh. It doesn't really matter if Superman is super ripped cuz he is Superman even if he was scrawny he would be stronger than any human.

I'm not sure how I feel about the scaly look and the Travolta hair. I don't think he's any bigger than Routh was. Routh was just tall and not flexing for a photograph.

It's cool to see something though.

Just found my new wallpaper. A shame this has been pushed back to 2013. Not crazy about Zod as the villain... again. Maybe it will work out and bring Superman back to his kryptonian roots, like setting up for Brainiac. I'm officially sold on Cavil.

I like it. Cant really tell if he has the red undies or not but its a win either way.

Realistically speaking...if he's flying at minimum Hypersonic speeds in battle, do you guys think his hair with the curl would stand up to such Speeds. It makes sense realistically speaking that his hair would look like that.

...unless he uses Super Hair Gel!!!

This suit in the movie could be his early proto-type suit...like in Batman Begins..

for me it's not good, but neither bad. It's ok close to good, but still ok. I like the boots and the cage and NO PANTS. I would also like if the cape was together with the symbol.

I hope this movie will change Nolans mind about having Batman in his own world cause it look pretty realistic to me. Picture him standing next to bale = Badas5

Holy shit! Its official, Snyder's Man of Steel is awesome.

I guess I can say, In . . . no, that phrase "In (Someone) we trust" is getting old real fast. I should just say can't wait for the film, to show I would enjoy myself.

The only thing I don't like is the scales on the costume. Looks like something Aquaman would wear in live action. It's not bad though, a heck of alot better than that crap we got in 2006.

Loving it still I am curious about the idea of the rebooted suit being done in live action.

I think the scale thing is weird but this pic is poorly lit and may still not be the finished thing.

The suit is pretty cool. I really hope that this movie will be great. I am sure it is with Chris Nolan producing he helped in the development until they were almost done with casting. 2013 seems to be getting more and more awesome.

in the original picture you can see something is there, but you cant tell what, the trunks may still be there (which I have no problem with).

Overall I think it looks great, 10,000x better then the DCnU Superman (armor crap) suit.

It's high time the grandfather of all superheroes finally got his due =D

At last- a proper, modernized...and most of all- FRESH reboot. Freed from the chains of his past films and finally free to really cut-loose!

Superman has finally arrived everyone ;D

The S resembles that of Superman Earth 2 of the 1940's. The material used could be inspired by Superman Birthright (unfortunately so could the hair, but I doubt it). The colors may seem darker, but it could be that the light and tone of the picture could be really dark. Other than that I'd say they were taking different elements the comics possibly.

granted the cavill costume looks awesome but cavill just doesnt look like superman of old, routh looked a lot like the old superman and even acted like the old clark kent if they were going to get a new superman why the hell was tom welling not given the part seeing as it would tie in perfectly with the smallville series and to be honest his dedication to the superman legend in smallville i think proved he deserved the part besides the rant i am a huge comic book fan so this film will be interesting to see

@huggybear 13 Because WB wanted a reboot of Superman, trying to continue with Smallville on the big screen would defeat the purpose.
