Transformers 3 in 2011 or 2012

Michael Bay talks "Transformers 3", "Bad Boys 3," and "Pain and Gain"

I bet all of you want to see a "Transformers 3." Whether it be for an action-packed sequel, redemption from "Transformers 2," or just to see Megan Fox running. Well you might be in luck, because Bay is meeting with Spielberg and Kruger about "Transformers 3." It might not be his next project though, he is also hoping to direct "Bad Boys 3," a sequel in the series that brought him some of his popularity. Or he might do "Pain and Gain," a movie about the story of body builders with a taste for steroids, strippers, and quick cash.

Michael Bay just released this statement on his site:

* He will be meeting later this week with Steven Spielberg, and Ehren Kruger to discuss ideas for Transformers 3. By the end of the week he should have an idea if Transformers 3 will hit your local cineplex in the summer of 2011 or 2012.
* In the meantime "Pain & Gain" is looking very possible as is...
* ...Bad Boys 3. Either film coming to a theater near you before or after Transformers 3.



So what do you think? Will "Transformers 3" be his next project? Should they make "Bad Boys 3?" Will "Bad Boys" or "Pain and Gain" come out first? Discuss it all and more below.

No comment on Bad Boys..or Transformers!

But your right about one thing Watchtower, i do want to see a 3rd movie, to see how many things Bay will have humping in it.

Defiantly Bad boys I love Transformers but he should take his time on the next one really develop a good story. This one was good but the story was just ok and there were a lot of cheesy lines I'd like to see a more serious approach. Bad boys was great a like both of them and it is about time for one its been a while. Plus I think Martin and Will need something like that to give them a lil spark again Martin more than will at least.

TRANSFORMERS 2 HAD EVERYTHING THE FIRST ONE DIDNT YET IT WAS NOT AS GOOD, I WASNT AS INVESTED IN THE CHARACTERS AS I WAS IN THE FIRST ONE FOR SOME REASON.

the first Transformers and Bad Boys were good, the the sequels were second rate. I hope Bad Boys comes first so that they have time to really think about T3 and make it as great as possible.

Pain and Gain kind of sounds stupid though

I will say what I want about bay.......ALL he knows to shoot is action. And thats not even great sometimes. Those transformers fights were so confusing I didn't know who was fighting who.

YEAH TO BAD BOYS 3!!!!

Transformers needs to dump those STUPID Robots Mudplap and whatever, Bring back Jazz, and War it out away from these Humans.

We really don't need to have a story based around a Human. You can have them in there being involed in the War but we don't need sum Special Story for them.

Im getting kinda sick of some of that cast except those two Main Soilders.

I think they should make Transformers 3, but I think that they should do the difficult project last, so it can be hyped up more. Transformers 2 was decent but I didn't expect that much comedy, when it was supposed to be darker or w/o. But I saw Bad Boys 1 and 2 so I wouldn't mind seeing another. I don't know about Pain and Gain, have to find out more about that. But yea that's what I think.

Bad Boys 3 or Pain and Gain will come out first. He talked about making one movie he's rally wanted to make for a while, so I think he'll have everyone wait for another Transformers film. Also, I think if he makes a 3rd Transformers film, it needs to have less sexual humor so that the kids can see it this time, and it needs to have a good story so that everyone else in the world will want to see it.

I don't care what he films, just stop with all the "slow motion running with shit blowing up in the back ground" scenes please! All those scenes are pointless and take up to much time. Bay's films would be 45 mins shorter without that crap! The BAD BOYS movies have always been good, by far the best "buddy cop" movies out there and the TRANSFORMER movies are good too (the 2nd installment needed a little work).

Bay movies aren't that bad! Bad Boys was great, I thought! I'd love to see another one! But I still would like to see more substance in these effex movies! And less bodily function jokes!

that's so weird cause last night i dug out my badboy's boxset and sat and watched both films one after the other and i was thinking to myself i wish they would make a 3rd cause the story lines are good erm not really, cause will smith and martin lawrence make a good on screen partnership maybe cause they are testosterone fuelled car smashing gun totting hot babes and over the top action HELLLLLL YEAAAAA!!!!

Michael Bay (& Watchtower, of course), you have made my day! I would love to see (the obviously gonna be made because its a cash-cow) Transformers 3, Bad Boys 3 and Pain and Gain (mostly because it will be a fun Michael Bay movie). Now I will admit I liked Transformers 2 (no matter all its numerous flaws) but it was nothing compared to the first one. The first one had a bit of magic to it, it felt like a Transformers movie (minus the humping and stupid bodily function jokes and half of the stupid human cast). But the second movie lost some of that magic and I would love to see the third movie make up for it. Just use the plot of the animated movie, tweak some of the elements to fit in with the live-action movies and there you go, Transformers 3 would be awesome. I would like to see the third movie being the last one as fighting robots can get very repetitive, no matter how awesome it is. But I doubt it will be the last movie as again, its a perfect cash-cow

Bad Boys 3, [frick] yea, all the way. I would love to see one more movie with the awesome Martin Lawrence and Will Smith doing what they do best one last time before they get too old for it. And it would be better than anything else Martin Lawrence has done lately.

I think Bad Boys 3 should be made first, get it out for release in 2011, complete the trilogy and then Transformers 3 (with Unicron!) and it will have a completed trilogy. Then Michael Bay can finally be done with his two most awesome franchises and then he can make Pain and Gain for 2013, so he can get making some fresh new movies

in bay's defense, some of the action scenes WERE a little hard to tell what was going on. but my buddy just got a new LED tv, and the first thing we watched on it was the first transformers. it is a LOT easier to tell what is going on. the picture is so clear (they advertise it as being "better than real life". and its soooo true!) that you can see all the colors of the autobots and they are very vibrant, it lets you see all the punches that are being thrown. i don't know, LED with blu-ray is amazing!!!

i wouldn't be surprised if he starts with pain or gain. the synopsis in the article makes it sound like it won't be such a huge action packed blockbuster as T3 or bad boys, and bay has already stated that he wanted to do "something different" for his next movie, because he was tired of critics saying he's all explosions.

Leee that depends on your definition of entertaining doesn't it? If you replace the word ENTERTAINER with RETARD and the word ENTERTAINING with RETARDED then i agree! Sorry, Im not above enjoying a mindless action movie but this guy takes the piss, and hes the reason why these miserable movies will keep getting made without any substance or thought put into them.

Bay can take Satans pecker all the way down and still shout ACTION.

Well, i suppose it comes down to different tastes on ROTF, im by no means a big Transformers fan till the movies came out. Still, who would you guys want 'IF' BAY didn't wanna do TRANSFORMERS 3??

I think if he wants to continue to make millions on end then he should do Transformers 3 next and then Bad Boys. No Transformers fan will wanna wait till 2011 or 2012 but he should start shooting Transformers 3 next year and get that horse moving and quickly. He has his writers and in full force. Crank out a superb story, let us learn more about Sideswipe and Jolt this time around and maybe actually throw some names in for decepticons other than Megatron Starscream Fallen and Devastator, Don't kill decepticons as quickly either(Sideways). Let there be actual beat downs going on.

Transformers 2 was the worst piece of crap to ever leave an asshole. It actually made the first movie worse.

I'll pencil both movies in for... never.
